Strada Mia 313 Restaurant
Excellent service and food was cooked perfectly
No complaints! Food was delicious and service was top notch! Will definitely return!
Though the inside of the restaurant is beautiful we were seated at the table closest to the kitchen. I understand every kitchen has some noise from dinner service activity, the staff in the kitchen was very “boisterous” this particular evening. Our waitress was attentive and courteous, likewise professional. Our appetizers were very nice and we never wanted for either wine or water. The entrees were adequate but a touch on the bland side and my wife’s chicken was particularly dry. When she requested a box for all but her chicken, the waitress informed us that we weren’t the first to complain that evening about the chicken and assured us she would bring the matter to the managers attention. It was her opinion it may have been “ a whole batch of overcooked chicken.” If so why was it not removed by whomever is tasked with quality control of entrees leaving the kitchen.
As a gesture of condolence our desserts were comped by the staff. All of this was more or less a minor inconvenience but the vandalizing of our vehicle in the parking lot as we dined sealed the conclusion that we wouldn’t be returning to Strata Mia anytime in the foreseeable future.
It was great
Strada Mia ALWAYS has great food and friendly service. It is a great neighborhood restaurant, but also well worth the drive from other parts of town.
Great place to eat the food was amazing and it was very clean.
Great food and service.
Waitress though experienced either had a bad night or is just totally unqualified to perform her duties. Her service was terrible from the start. Forgetting drink order, forgetting appetizers, mixing up meals and how the meals were ordered to be cooked. Forgetting she was even given a credit card to pay for our meal. The restaurant was busy but there were plenty of staff to accommodate each party.
Our bill for 2 without dessert was $102.00
Not bad if the food had been prepared the way we ordered and our service wasn't sub par. We won't be going back there or recommending it to others.
Food is very good with nice presentation. Convenient parking. Value for quantity of food is excellent
The food is always good at Strata Mia. On this occasion it was a bit louder than normal, but overall it was a very nice evening.
Bottom line HORRIBLE SERVICE! Despite having made a reservation for 6 in the dining area, initially the hostess attempted to seat us with 2 individuals in their 80’s at high bar stools in the bar area. Requested to dine in the dining area per the reservation and service continued to go downhill from there. No waiter stopped at table until 30 minutes after being seated. Poured our own water as no one addressed us after being seated. Started with one waiter than transferred to another as wait staff inattentive. Never had opportunity to refill drinks. Lastly waited 30 minutes to pay bill once it was dropped off at table. I never need to return to this restaurant and will pass along that service is below par. Noise level extreme in the dining area where large party took over the entire dining area.
Take a pass and find an alternative!
The food was delicious and the quantity was huge. Had for two meals.
Excellent and attentive waiter.
Dining room was great in terms of noise level.
My beet walnut and goat cheese salad was actually good except or the bits of black slimy greens I had to pick out of it. We've all seen that happen to a bag of mixed greens, when the brown leaves go bad more quickly than the rest. I won't serve it at my house. If I'm desperate for salad, I'll at least clean it in the salad spinner. The gross stuff tends to float off. My side of Risotto was not creamy and had no flavor of Parmesan cheese. It was more just kind of flavorful, but not that well-cooked, rice.
My son's shrimp scant was okay. My son said it didn't nearly compare to what he's had at Pastabilities, and the version they make at the Upstate Hospital cafeteria looks and smells better.
My husband had a pork dis which he enjoyed, but he was surprised the pork was a huge deep fried piece of meat.
The wine was very good and reasonably priced for a restaurant. We had a bottle of Montepulciano d'Abbruzzo which was very good.
The waiter did his job, but was brusque.
We had a $50 gift card, which made it okay for us, but we won't go back. There are so many good restaurants to go to in Syracuse.
I ordered linguine and clam sauce. It was very good, but I got it with their spicy sauce and it was very spicy. My husband ordered the NY strip steak. Good, but a bit overcooked for his medium rare request. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. We’d go again!
Dinner with another couple. Another great meal with excellent service. Have never had a bad meal at Strada Mia. That’s why we keep coming back
I thought the place was great. We are from the area but this was our first visit. The food was really good overall. My wife did say her salmon was bland and fishy but the rest was great. I would recommend it.
The food was fabulous and our server Ryan was fantastic! We will definitely be going back.
Bread good but served cold with cold olive oil and herbs. Ribeye overcooked...my wife’s sea bass good in flavor but also served luke warm. Charcuterie board just OK. Loud. Somewhat disappointed. For the price there are better Italian restaurants in the area.
Good food and atmosphere
This was our second time at Strada Mia 313 and neither experience has been excellent. We chose Strada Mia 313 as our Italian meal the night before this year and last year's Syracuse Half Marathon. As out of towners, it looked like a good option with food choices we enjoyed and reasonable prices. We made reservations for both visits, last year at 7pm, this year at 6pm. It was noticeably less busy for the 6pm reservation this year.
Last year, we were sat at an odd table in the back of the restaurant and felt forgotten. I don't remember the specific details, but we were offered a free dessert to take home for our trouble. The food was good and this was a nice gesture. We decided to give it a try again this year and unfortunately had an even worse experience.
We arrived a few minutes early to our reservation and were seated in a nice booth in the main restaurant. After waiting 15+ minutes for a server to come by, ask about drinks, pour water, etc. I finally called over the hostess to explain that we had been seated for 15 minutes and no one had come to wait on us. After another few minutes a frazzled waitress came by and asked if we were waiting on one more person, to which we said no, it was just us.
She read the specials, which made no sense. "For appetizers, we have a pasta and a seafood". When asked about a beer selection, her response was there were a lot of options, and she proceeded to name a few from memory, and then asked if she wanted us to write them down. She was totally unprepared from this standpoint and needless to say we did not order any drinks. She did not ask what type of pasta my fiancee wanted with his meal, or what dressing I wanted for my salad. When she served my salad, she said is the italian dressing okay or did you want something else? The salad and bread were great, but meals were okay at best. We did end up ordering dessert, and in total we spent 1.5 hours in the restaurant for a meal that should've taken half as long.
Excellent food and service but did not like the back booth-it was very stark and office-like. No decorations on the walls.
Had a very pleasant dinning experience at Strada Mia 313. Reservation was early (4:30pm) so there was little background noise to start. Near 6:30-7:00pm the room on 1st floor did pick up in noise level. The waiter for our table was entertaining and very proud of his prep work in the kitchen for the evenings meal. The food was way above what was expected on taste, portion size and price. Our meal for 6 included a small antipasto, 2 bottles of house Merlot and a few other drinks. I was nicely surprised at the bottom line on the receipt. I will recommend Strada Mia 313 to anyone looking for an excellent Italian dinner.
Great neighborhood vibe with awesome food. Classic Italian dishes are simple and perfect.
We had reservations for a busy Friday night and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was excellent and the food was delicious. The only thing was that the tables were pretty close together so it was quite loud with large parties surrounding us. Would definitely go back.
Our waiter was fantastic and the food was delicious!!
In town for special occasion. Made reservation months in advance. Reservation was confirmed on line and by phone. When we arrived ( on time) hostess acted like we did not have reservation and proceeded to seat us in this back area away from other diners. The table could not even be seen by the servers. It was truly awful. To their credit, they reseated us but it was enough to spoil the evening. Would not go back. Food was just OK.
One of our best meals in Syracuse! Scallops wrapped in bacon were our fav app. All our main courses were perfect, including my chicken parmigian and my wife's shrimp scampi
Service was friendly and great.
We will return!
The food was wonderful.
Atmosphere is a bit drab.
We enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the restaurant. This is our second visit. We will be back!
Great food and service!
We had a nice dinner at this very good Italian restaurant on the west side of Syracuse. Everyone enjoyed the large portions of quality pasta dishes and we had an excellent unique Italian wine.
We have been there twice now. The servers have been fantastic and every meal outstanding. We would definitely recommend it.
Great food and great service. Everyone is always very friendly and accommodating.
I grew up in Syracuse but have lived in NYC for the last 35 years. This is a great upscale restaurant with excellent food and huge portions. The vibe is relaxrd the service was excellent and their specialty cocktails rock! There's seating out side with cool fire pits. There was also an eclectic mix of people of different ages dinning. I will def be coming back to Strada Mia during my next hometown visit.
Beautiful outdoor seating! The waitress was top-notch! Prime rib and pork chop were delicious! It’s not easy to find excellent food in Syracuse. I would defined dine there again. A little pricey but willing to spend it for a great meal!
Very clean and relaxed atmosphere. I take SO long to choose what to eat because everything is so good and there’s ample amount of options. The outside area with the new fire pits are great. And there was a door man/security guard that even walked us to our car when we left. 10/10
Another fabulous evening dining at Strada Mia. We dined outside and had exceptional service from the host and also our server Destiny. The food was spot on and delicious, having had 3 steaks cooked different ways at our table. Hats off to the chef(s) ! We will certainly be back as this has become a go to restaurant for us .
The food was fabulous and plentiful; the specials added to the delicious menu items. Each dish could feed two people. The service was solicitous and attentive; they were hapy to make accomodations for gluten allergies.
The food was absolutely delicious! Our server was great!! We will certainly be back for special occasions.
