Succotash - National Harbor
SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified and passed from generation to generation for centuries. While Succotash between families will share similarities, each family’s recipe is deeply personal and reminiscent of those special suppers that brings kin together. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

Great food! Great drinks! Nice outdoor seating.
We have a GREAT waitress. I believe her name was Meeti.
Alyssia was great as our server. We are going back for supper as the food was amazing. Got the avocado blt and succotash! Divine. The citrus salad was fabulous. Loved it all
One of my favorite places at the National Harbor! Great food, drinks, and atmosphere.
Our server Alisa (hope I spelled her name correctly) was excellent! Made our visit an amazing experience. Hope she is recognized for her outstanding work.
very dark interior - hard to read menu ( no we are not old folks). waiter was average at best. food selection is very limited but very everyone's meal was cooked to perfection.
Except fried chicken sandwich- which fried too hard or crisp- food was delicious; we loved the fried green tomato salad it was outstanding
Decent food. Great service and atmosphere.
Lots of stars to award to this restaurant. The Southern Hospitality, friendliness and professionalism of the staff matched the flavorful foods and creative approach. Great evening - good pace - great value. A bit noisy...
I celebrated my mom‘s 55th birthday. I’ll waiter was phenomenal and very attentive.
My first visit but definitely not my last!! The food, service, and prices were all excellent!!!
The food was great for the price. Great customer service and ambiance
Our server was great. unfortunately, I forgot her name.
Smoked chicken wings, green tomato salad and oysters for appetizers. The dressing on the tomato salad scrumptious. Burger, salmon and chicken and waffles for dinner. Burger and chicken ok but not the best ever. Salmon was tasty. Peach cobbler and bourbon chocolate pecan pie; the latter excessively sweet and peach cobbler delicious. Began with good cocktails a way south margarita (peppery good) and a belle punch just as good. Did not like that entrees arrived when appetizers still being eaten and check brought without asking if we wanted dessert.
The dining area was nice with excellent decor. Looked a little like you might find in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Food was good. We both had shrimp and grits—we expected more spices. Dining area was loud and a little too dim. Overall it was pretty good for the money. I’ll go back.
Conference attendance at the Gaylord
I wasn’t crazy about the chicken Cobb salad. The chicken was a thigh and I had about a cup of blue cheese in the bowl.
The overall experience was great. I just wish they had a little more options than what they had.
My wife and I were expecting something special when we went to Succotash. Indeed most of our experience met our expectations. The problem was that our waitress brought my entree before she brought my appetizer (or 'starter" as called at Succotash). I sent the entree back and asked for my starter. Then, our waitress brought my wife's entree when she brought my starter. The food itself was delicious!
Our waitress was outstanding. Personable, knowledgeable, and kind.
Celebrated my partners 32nd birthday & we really enjoyed ourselves in the outside seating area. Great food, great atmosphere & great service! Would definitely come back here!
Birthday dinner...Darren was great!
Chicken & Waffles! ♥️
;est food I have ever had at the Harbor.
Would recommend to everyone.
I was glad I made a reservation because this place was very busy with two extra large parties! Our waiter greeted us immediately. But he visited us less frequently as the evening went on…
We started with the pimento cheese fundido and the hush puppies. The fundido was awesome! It’s served in a cast iron skillet. Most of the skillet is a white cheese with a scoop of pimento cheese in the center and the corn and sautéed onions throughout. It’s scoop-able, but not really dip-able. Fine with me because is WAS warm and gooey!! And great flavor! I preferred it with the flatbread, but my husband seemed to enjoy the seed crackers. The hush puppies, while served with some amazing apple butter, were quite disappointing. They were dense and flavorless.
Hubby and I shared the pimento cheeseburger. The fries were fine and the burger was really pretty great. It’s great to go wrong with pimento cheese and bacon jam on the burger. Also, they cooked it perfectly to medium rare plus!!
I’d definitely come back for that fundido. Maybe I’d try the short rib and the Mac & cheese next time!
Wonderful tasting menu that is very good value, so would recommend that multi-course, prix fixe menu. Cocktails are higher quality than most restaurants at this price level. Cozy interior... plenty of outdoor dining space, too. My only comment is that the excellent Smoked Wings should be served with the sauce on the side. This restaurant should be your first dining destination at National Harbor. Enjoy!
Great menu! The carrot soup was great. The salmon was great. It is a little pricy!
Would have preferred a table just for two, it was our first date. We had a table for four just not so romantic…..
The food was so flavorful. An the ambulance was excellent!! Perfect date night out.
I visited last night and dined by myself as I was on business. Food was amazing, service was excellent. Highly recommend the salmon.
Great Birthday Dinner!
Found this place in National Harbor and it quickly became one of my favorites!! Amazing food, tremendous drinks, and impeccable service.
This was our first visit. The entire vibe was off the moment we walked in. The server did not want to be there and the food was average.
Birthday dinner with my husband. Kind of a last minute decision, but was definitely a great idea.
The food was absolutely a-maz-ing and the service was excellent.
The food and service was amazing, this was our second time visiting and it was even better the second time around
It's disappointing that they don't do something more Celebrations. The manager didn't even greet us. The dinner for two package I think it's called "The Taste or tour" is definitely not enough food for two people let alone any more than two. And definitely don't go during happy hour and think that you can sit at a table and go to the bar. They practically kicked us out. Very rude
My favorite place on the harbor! There is still so many dishes I want to try - and the bartenders are awesome.
You definitely need a reservation even at lunch. We did the family. Meal it was a great buy with lots of variety.
Try the Taste of the South a 7 course meal plus desert minimum 2 people to order.
