Great restaurant. Wonderful pizzas in a friendly and family-friendly setting. We’ll definitely return.
Excellent pizza and wine as always. One of the best in London.
Visited here for the second time - food was excellent
Lovely pizza, delicious fish stew and a shared first course of salads and courgette chips was enjoyable. We ordered a beetroot salad, a broccoli salad and a green bean salad to share, and found that a fairly small amount of each ingredient is presented with a big pile of rocket dressed in the same way, so if you don’t like rocket you are in trouble!
This was our most recent visit to Sweet Thursday of many we have enjoyed. We were entertaining a friend's son visiting from Chicago who loved both the ambiance and the pizza as well as the wine. If you have never been to eat there we would recommend highly their Neopolitan style pizzas which put most others in the shade.
Have been here three times in the last month because the food is great and the service is so unpretentious, friendly and thoughtful.
Good food and good value. Friendly staff. Will probably order the Salame pizza with no chillies next time - just personal taste but it was too spicy for me and my nephew, who got a bit of a rash on his lip. Nothing to stop me recommending the place as a nice pizza place, and it's very child friendly.
A great choice of different pizza. All vey tasty, good stuff.
No major complaints, service a little slow, but, nothing you can’t live with for fresh good food.
Very nice place for a casual dinner with friends but most of all very yummy pizza 😊
Good food and wine and excellent service. The staff are always really friendly and helpful.
good pizza, for eat in and take out. very tasty tomato sauce
The pizzas are to die for - and the lady that was serving our table was super friendly and helpful. Definitely going back.
Good food and nice atmosphere
Living in the area, ST used to be great, but it looks like new ownership have taken over and the food quality has dropped substantially. Service was fine, but a bit disappointed
A quite weekday night was well served by our local pizza place - Sweet Thursday's. Great pizza was completemented with good service and an easy atmosphere.
Lovely pizza and salad. Casual dinner with our friends staff were helpful and eccentric
The pizza and dough balls are second to none. Local vibe, friendly staff, highly recommend
Friendly welcome and good service. Good choice. Food was tasty and just right for relaxed Friday evening meal.
Spent a very enjoyable evening of pizza and carpari with a friend. I had the unusual special pizza to my delight found it delicious.
A great staple
We went to restaurant before going to see a friend in a play. This was the perfect place to meet. Good value but the evening was made by the excellent waiter .... good service and a wonderful smile
Great pizza and friendly staff. Added bonus that you get 10% off at the wine shop when you dine in
Great food and great atmosphere. I am allergic to Gluten and the GF pizza's here are the best ive had in London!
Second visit, following recommendation from my son who rates their takeaways too. Will be our regular place to eat out when we are in London. Not your average Pizzeria. Highly recommended.
As always it was fabulous & my friends loved everything
Great pizza and salad, friendly environment and family friendly.
Such a major quality pizza, love it so much
Great food, great wine and very friendly staff. I've always loved the pizza here!
nice pizza wine and beer place.Lovely menu with many options
It's the best quality pizza in London!
Good pizzas and nice wine - starters were a little small, and we had to chase for the wine twice.
Pizza menu was a little too 'different'. Lead me to the wrong decision to the 'lad' meat pizza which was revolting... I had picked about 1kg of all types of very strong meat. OTT. I got what asked for guess, but it wasnt nice
Generally the food was of a very high however and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. i would recommend
A lovely venue, well laid out, spacious and nicely decorated and while the service was friendly it was a touch too slow. The starters we had were tasty but wasn't much a fan of the pizza, which was why we were there in the first place.
This place does great pizza at good prices. We go there a lot, or if not get takeaway, as my sister is gluten free and these guys do a great gluten free base that - unlike other places - tastes like real pizza rather than doughy stodge! Salads and starters are also pretty good.
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely starter and pizza each. Good service and lively atmosphere. Will definitely be going again!
I can eat this pizza everyday
We bought some wine at Sweet Thursday which was delicious and the menu caught our eye so we decided we would eat there soon. Again, the wine we ordered with dinner was delicious but unfortunately the food was only average. There are at least 3 excellent pizza places in Hackney so it was disappointing that Sweet Thursday's pizza had a stodgy base which was not properly cooked and the toppings were tasteless. The starters were also poor with the exception of the Nduja Doughballs which were very tasty. The salt cod fritters were like large balls of deep fried mashed potato and similar could be said for the Speck & Scarmorza croquettes. Fritters should be and are different to croquettes but these looked the same as each other and didn't taste of much either. I don't normally write bad reviews but when the bills comes to £65+ for pizza I expect the best and Sweet Thursday has a long way to go until it reaches the quality of the wine it serves.
What more do you need to know? The staff were incredible, the food was delicious, as was the wine. I would recommend the Gorgonzola Dough Balls starter and the Panna Cotta desert- delicious!!! Also, the coffee liqueur to finish!
Lovely little quirky restaurant with great wine. Heading back for the wine tasting
Excellent Pizzeria plus! First class starts and very good pizzas. Lots of families early in the evening. It is also a classy wive shop.
