Tacos & Tequila patron
I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. However, the food is made somewhere else in the hotel and when it arrived at our table, it was lukewarm. The drinks were great. Overall we had a good time and would go back again. The view is stunning!
It was basically the outdoor area to the pool. I was burping up my subpar shrimp and fish tacos through the next morning and went home with a stomach ache. Granted, none of my friends ended up with the same ailments, but was meh overall.
Great setting within the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel. Ingredients are fresh, the portions are just right for a late evening snack. The cocktails are superb. Anything else? Yes, at the bar you have TVs where you can catch the game and have a great conversation with the bartender. Overall? Great place for some lay back Mexican food while watching TV.
Lorenzo was absolutely amazing very knowledgeable, friendly and exceeded expectations of customer service. It was perfecto!!!
Amazing tacos and drinks. Everyone was amazingly nice! Love their customer service and food! Will definitely have to come visit again before I leave.
As promised the tacos and tequilas are great. The restaurant has a fabulous view overlooking the ocean. It is a beautiful oasis. The steak, black bean and chicken tacos were our favorites! This restaurant is a must visit while in San Juan!
AMAZINGLY GOOD, perfect setting and the perfect spot after a long day at the beach.
Amazing experience at Tacos and Tequila. Our waitress was very nice and kind and met our every needs including taking a bunch of pictures for us.
Celebrated my niece birthday in this beautiful ocean view terrace with great food and service. The food is so fresh and the tortillas are homemade. Loved the pork taco. They make different salsas that are delicious. Service was great. Exceeded my expectations.
javier the server and javier the host were amazing!!!
OMG what a wonderful experience, our server Vivian was beyond excellent. Party of 8 the attention and service could not be more amazing. The Margaritas were on point, personally I ordered the Spicy one with Jalapeño, it was perfection. The star of the night was the pork belly tacos, and to mention the shrimp tacos, dessert everything was Yummy Yummy. And the Restaurant View breathtaking.
Best selection of tequila on the island. Complimented by small plates of fresh tacos with fresh ingredients.
A great casual atmosphere in a wonder hotel.
Food is very foodie good but pretty overpriced. You are pretty much paying for the view which is amazing. Loved the shrimp and the tuna tataki tacos but $16 for 2 tacos?
Great food. Great service. Had lunch and dinner!! Great margueritas too!
Great ambiance, view. Food is mediocre. Our waiter was attentive but was intrusive in our party’s conversations to a point that was annoying.
Very good food
On the way to a cruise
The restaurant is in the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, which is a beautiful property. The ambiance was fantastic but the food was a bit bland and definitely overpriced. They charged us $9.00 for chips and salsa and $5 for an additional salsa. The fried fish (cod) taco was fishy tasting and we sent it back. The drinks were a little too sweet and on the smaller side. Not a horrible place but the food & drinks could be more flavorful.
Excellent as always!!!!! We had a wonderful birthday dinner with the waves and the Coqui’s
Great place to eat and amazing view. A must visit
What a fun place to have lunch or dinner! The tacos are delicious and the margaritas are fabulous! the tacos are filling and two were enough for me but the offering of three for a reasonable price is tempting. try the grilled corn for a starter too! but by all means save room for the churro with ice cream. such a treat! Service is so friendly.
My teen daughter and I ate here in mid Feb. We'd stayed at the Vanderbilt on a previous trip but this time we were at another hotel. We grabbed a last minute rez on opentable and arrived at the appointed time. We had to wait for a few minutes to talk check in for our reservation, but the host was kind and working hard to keep others happy and things running smoothly. When offered an indoor table we asked for outdoor (we'd been able to request that on opentable) and he quickly moved into action, clearing a table himself and getting it ready for us. That service set the tone for the meal. Paula was our server and gave excellent guidance on the menu (food and drinks). Dinner arrived promptly and we enjoyed the setting - fairy lights strung along the beach, a shallow infinity pool on the other side of us and just beyond a fire for s'mores on the beach (which Paula invited us to join after dinner). The restaurant was open to the outdoors so we felt part of the restaurant while being outside among the trees and lights. The food was quite good - a chicken quesadilla which my daughter rated as pretty good (a huge compliment) and I tried three different tacos - veg, black bean, shrimp. I asked for no aioli on one of the tacos and that request was honored. The Cucumber twist was refreshing and huge. All in all a lovely evening.
The host who sat us named jose, also doubles as a waiter, did not honor our reservation for outside seatinf. Instead puts us in the most bright open area in the middle of the restaurant under baseball stadium lights. He says they had a party of 12 they were servicing and no longer had outside seating available. Aftet we sat, three tables opened up and new tables were seated. He was very unprofessional and i wish the restaurant would reprimand him his poor behavior. Our waiter was very good and tacos were as well. Wish they had al pastor tacos or guacamole, kind of odd.
Very good food, portions are slim for cost!
This was second time here. The first time a few years ago was great. The food and the cocktails were delicious.
This time it was not great. The tortillas were awful. They were dry and falling apart. For a place that is supposed to be about tacos, you'd think they would do a better job. The cocktails were lacking this time around as well.
Overall very disappointing and would not go back.
Great place! Loved the Tortilla soup, interesting and delicious version of that soup. Pork belly taco awesome.
Shrimp taco became awesome when we asked for and got some pineapple salsa. We’ll be back!
Great service in beautiful trendy atmosphere on the beach where you can watch the waves while you enjoy your meal. Unfortunately, the "loaded nachos" were super skimpy, very little chicken, the cheese was not real, it was some kind of cheese sauce and the margaritas were weak. The place is beautiful but overpriced and the food/drinks were not that great. On the bright side, the service was exceptional! Photo of the "loaded nachos" and size of the margarita attached. Seriously? Ah well, the service was amazing and we were by the ocean so it was great for a one time visit :)
The chicken tacos were my favorite. I ate them 3 days in a row....that’s how amazing it was🤤🤤🤤
Food is very meh. Nachos has cheap cheese on them and most of the chips weren’t event covered. Elote was served cold. We decided to leave before ordering our mains. Very disappointing.
Friendliest waitress ever. Lovely setting great for kids.
Hard to relax and enjoy our meal after being disrespected by the hostess. We had to beg her to seat us at a table large enough for 3 after we were seated at a small cocktail table for 2 by an open door and kitchen entrance, when several larger tables were available and marked reserved. After having to prove we indeed had a reservation for 3, after I showed her my open table Rez, she put two small cocktail tables together for us. If it weren’t raining so hard we would’ve left.
Food was just okay. Never coming back.
This was the worst dining experience I’ve had on a long long time. Food was miserable and expensive for what it was. Service was ok, but wait time was over an hour to get food. Don’t go!!!
Great service in an unforgettable setting with the sound of waves dominating the scene
Excellent. Ambiance is fantastic for a family as it’s cool but with open walls so there is an ocean breeze throughout the place, with a small 6 inch pool for kids of almost any age to have a great time while parents eat. It’s also right next to a private kid friendly beach with rocks which protect kids from waves.
The food was great. We are vegetarian and there were plenty of options. We loved the tortilla soup and the vegetarian tacos. High quality.
The only thing I might fix is that they didn’t have many options for little kids (who can’t eat spicy food). We asked for simple rice and beans and that wasn’t possible.
5 stars and highly recommended!
The service was outstanding!
they got my order wrong and offered to correct it, but too late.
Used the app to check if it was open and when I arrived it was closed...
Lourdes and Jose were excellent.
Service was horrible! Took forever to order and get our drinks. The queso fundido was a weird consistency and I would not order that again. It was restaurant week and for $20 we got a very small portion of tortilla soup, 2 tacos and dessert. The best part of the meal was the dessert - spicy chocolate ice cream & churro sandwich. This was our most expensive meal in PR and it was not worth the price. I would only come back here for the drinks and dessert (and sit at the bar...)
Can't beat the waterfront view and the churros ice-cream sandwiches are phenomenal. Prices are a little too high for the portions. Can get better, bigger meals elsewhere in San Juan.
