I didn't actually eat at Tartufo as the restaurant wasn't open - the staff were very nice and arranged for me to have bar snacks elsewhere in the hotel. There should have been better communication and Open Table should have informed me that the restaurant was closed so I didn't waste a journey going there
Very pleased with the whole experience at the restaurant.
My sister and I took my mother here for a birthday lunch. Great place to go when shopping in the area. An intimate space, lovely service, delicious food in just the right quantity and the lunch menus included 2 glasses of wine, so very good value. Will definitely go again, especially as there are not that many nice dining venues in the area, they tend to be cheap and cheerful or very expensive. The Truffle risotto was amazing.

We have been to Tartufo for Xmas Eve for the last three years. This year, the menu was a set menu rather than them offering their tasting menu which was a shame, but the food was of superb quality, the venue is beautiful as always. There weren't many tables in this year, but it didn't stop us really enjoying our evening. This is a real gem of a restaurant.
It was ok. Service in the bar and restaurant seemed slack and then that irks when they slap the service charge on.
Food was fine to be fair, the place is nice but there was no soul or heart in the hospitality. There are loads of restaurants and bars in London so I didn't leave with a feeling I would want to come back, or indeed that they care if I do or not.
Very good food - had the set Sunday lunch menu which is good value, and service was charming. A treat to eat somewhere which is not tables crammed close together so too noisy - and the decor is warm and formal without being stiff.

We love dining at this restaurant as it consistently offers delicious food with attentive, genial service in comfortable surroundings where you can converse without shouting. Earlier in the week, we dined at a Michelin 2 star establishment that was also a very good dining experience but upon reflection, my husband and I felt the food at Tartufo was better tasting and definitely better value. We dined with another couple and we loved the beef carpaccio with black truffles, the stone bass and my husband thought the tagliatelle with beef ragu and the pork belly were outstanding.
Most disappointing. Lots of noise from the adjacent party room with folk walking through and leaving doors open. A large table suitable for 4 and we were only 3. Scallops served on cold plate and a vegetarian lasagna with a sauce all over it that looked like a mess. No personality.

We like Gauthier and noticed that Tartufo was it's sister menu. Booked lunch to take out our daughter for a birthday lunch. The food was very good and the service excellent, a great place to talk. I would come back but do think that Gauthier has a better balance for an enjoyable lunch.
The food was very nice and the service good The waiters were attentive enough however they had to serve quite a few other tables at the same time so not there at times when we need them and service a bit slow
We had the four course meal. The starter was ok but the pork belly which was the main course was disappointing it was not crispy and a bit salty
All the desserts we had were fantastic out of this world. All in all a pleasant experience. If they had put a few more staff that would be better.

I have been to Tartufo in Chelsea several times before in the evening and have really enjoyed it. But this was a first visit for Sunday lunch, a more limited but excellent menu, prices include wine with the meal, fantastic wine and great value. Italian food of very high quality, my mother is Italian so I am very discerning when it comes to eating Italian food outside the home. Tartufo means truffle in Italian and there are always some dishes with this quality ingredient. The focaccia breads are to die for as is the risotto, Tartufo is the sister restaurant to Gauthier in Soho, they also make excellent risotto even though they are a French restaurant. Whichever of the two restaurants you choose, you will not be disappointed.

Booked by chance after visit to V&A museum. Lovely restaurant within a boutique hotel. Basement dining room with great ambience. Food excellent and wines good but typically London priced! Service very good and staff informative about both food and wines. We had a lovely evening and would certainly recommend a visit.

very good food from start to finish, a nicely-varied menu and a surprisingly comfortable setting given the basement-like setting, but odd service. it took the bartender literally 10 minutes to bring my wife a glass of wine, so we had to just bring it to our table. then the table servers were attentive but a bit stiff. with great service, this place has real potential. but even with mediocre service, pretty darned good experience.
Outstanding service from the English waiter. Disappointed with the taste of the black truffles as it was not much flavor (we came specially for it). The potatoes from the steak dish where dry and the place looked like a corridor of a hotel with no ambiance for a restaurant.
A favourite spot to grab dinner when in the Sloane Square area. The food is always exceptional and the quiet atmosphere lends itself to well to good conversation. The wine list is also well put together with a range of great bottles in the £20-£45 price bracket. The service is impeccable. Not cheap - but always worth it, particularly for a special occasion.
A fantastic restaurant, and an amazing find in the heart of Chelsea. Located in one of the small luxury boutique hotels of the world; 11 Cadogan Gardens. The hotel is historically decorated and furnished and there is a nice bar for pre-dinner drinks. The restaurant has modern decor but still has a nice ambience at night. My friend and I both had the 6 course truffle tasting menu. The courses were small but satisfying and delicious, as well as very elegantly plated. There was even truffle and gold leaf on the chocolate/hazelnut dessert, which surprisingly worked. at £65 for the 6 courses, I thought it was excellent value, especially in Central London. There were also 2, 3 and 4 course options at lower fixed prices. These would be great for lunch or a light dinner. We chatted until late and then realised that we were the last guests, but we had not felt presssured to leave. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to friends. Great food and amazing place for a date. The wine recommended by our waiter was very acidic and did not go with the food and caused stomach cramps.
If you like your restaurants to be 'classic' (i.e. white linen tablecloths, very quiet environment, closed-off from the outside world) then this would be a great choice. Wasn't the easiest place to find (in the basement of a hotel in Cadogan Gardens), but the staff were warm and welcoming with service to match the classic feel. Menu choice was really good, and the food was as well. Enjoyed it, but as I say - atmosphere at a premium if you are used to more modern dining experiences.
Excellent service pleasant surprise
We were recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the head waiter was really knowledgeable. The ambience was fab. It was very welcoming, the decor was lovely and the food and wine fantastic. We will definitely visit you again and next time stay in th hotel too.

A disappointing experience in most ways. The setting, in a basement, is elegant and well laid out. The service is superb: responsive, hospitable, friendly and, above all, professional. The included wine in our lunch menu was excellent....and that's where it ends. The cooking was both ungenerous and totally pedestrian, not rising at any point except for the desserts, sorbets, which were bought in. We may have been unlucky. Only one other table was occupied while we were there and then only briefly. Perhaps what we had was the kitchen response to the need to cook for three people only. At the high-ish prices asked, this should not have been so! Go to Big Brother Gautier instead. It is excellent, always!
We dine here 2-3 times a year. This time, we had their summer Ligurian menu - which was first class. Service was impeccable, as ever - and the food was perfect. The sommelier gave excellent advice for our wine by the glass. 10/10
I thought the special Ligurian summer menu was good value. four ourses seemed daunting to me at first but the portions were small so I managed to eat it all.
The food was well-cooked and excellant.
I plan to visit again soon.
I experienced the Truffle Tasting menu which was a delight. The 6 courses were original in their composition, stunning in their presentation and full of spacial flavours. The suggested pairing of wines brought 7 different glasses of unusual Italian wines ( 2 with the cheese course!). The Head waiter began each new course by bringing and introducing the wine chosen , explaining its qualities and flavours and how these would enhance or marry with the food to come. It was a joy to encounter such quiet but confident expertise and to have it presented in easily comprehensible terminology.
The assistant waiter added a discreet, friendly and efficient service.
The whole meal made for a wonderful experience - the sort of meal one is not able to create at home. One goes to a good restaurant to raise the level from the everyday and Tartufo certainly provided an exceptional creation, comparble to a great work of art.
My first time here. The food and service were both excellent. We were there on a Monday lunch time, so it wasn't very busy and lacked a little in atmosphere. The set lunch is great value.
I have eaten regularly this year here, this was probably my 5 or 6 time, and I am consistently impressed with the level of quality they produce from the kitchen, it is simply outstanding. The skill and care taken on the presentation, taste and flavour combination are second to none, and the service is friendly, sophisticataed and discreet.

Superb restaurant in a stunning setting and the most fabulous value set menu; excellent choices per course, difficult to choose as they all sounded delicious, and generous portion sizes too. Highly recommend for a special occasion, to impress a date or business meeting. Discreet service. Can't wait to go again.
Excellent 4 course Summer set menu with the most delicious fresh truffle tortellini
The Ligurian Summer Menu, running through July and August, is very well organised and presented and is at a very fair price. We have no other experience of this restaurant, but found it though Gauthier, which is a favourite.
