We went here because we missed our reservation at a different restaurant. The food was good, it was a new experience for me. Service was terrific. Unfortunately, the restaurant is located right in the flight path of San Jose airport and as the night wore on, planes came more frequently and were loud enough that conversation had to stop. So sitting outside at night is not the best option here.
My only other comment is that it would be nice if the price per person was posted somewhere as there is not menu at this restaurant.
Great experience. Good selection of meats and food.
Service was great, food was incredible. We had a great time.
Personally I think it’s way overpriced since it’s a steakhouse but only offered about four different meats. The buffet wasn’t that interesting and the service was kinda terrible. It was busy so that’s understandable to an extent, but when we wanted to pay they kept us waiting over 15 minutes! I would genuinely recommend going to another Brazilian steakhouse like fogo de chau that have more variety in meats and in their buffet.
Some of the meat was rare, bordering on raw. The salad bar was unimpressive with many bowls sitting empty.
Came in for Mother’s Day, but it was a mess. Very mediocre customer service, and I had to wait even though I had a reservation. I tried the chicken hearts, and they were not cooked properly and were close to raw. I don’t say this often, but I genuinely regret paying the amount of money I paid for a meal for 3. I think I’ll just stick to Fogo de Chao.
Very salty meats. Very unremarkable sides. A poor expenditure but ok experience was had. For the price I expected more than a buffet experience.
I believe the staff did great for a Mother’s Day run. Place was packed, the staff was calm and patient. Food was a little in the burnt side and a little undercook. So just be wary of the food. But overall good experience!
We went for lunch on Mother's Day. I haven't seen my mother in law eat that much in years :-) All four of us loved the food, spice levels were excellent, selection was great, and even the "salad bar" options were fantastic, such as the paella. The staff were friendly and courteous. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, will definitely return!
it was too busy at the restaurant so we had more of a wait then usual
Very welcoming environment! All the staff were very kind and helpful. Seemed like a very authentic place. Food was delish and the specialty drinks were great! Would defs come back.
Tables spaced out and staff very helpful. Food is great
Very nice food and service. A big salad bar with different variety. Servers are very good serving meat.
Watch your bill
They charged 2 10 year olds full price then added on 18% gratitude
I was over charged by 75.00
My love and I had dinner for Valentine’s weekend celebration. It was nice for it being an outdoor experience, we will dine again.
A bit more crowed for what I'd expect to be safe under Covid19. Food is good, but not yet Fogo de Chao level.
It was a nice dinner , the food was delicious and the staff were all great! The only thing I wished for was that since it was my day that they would’ve brought out even the littlest cookie with a candle for me to blow out lol. I mean it would have been a nice end to the dinner , specially since it’s not cheap. Oh well over all we had a great time.
Celebrating new job and wedding anniversary
Always great meats and a really nice salad bar.
Too crowded, tables squeezed too close to each other, forcing a long wait for a glass of water.
The waiter never came back to our table and never fulfilled our drink order. We tried to get his attention but he just turned his back on us and walked away.
I have been to Taurinus many times and the experience has always been outstanding. On 2/14/2020 , I took my wife for a romantic Valentines Dinner, and feel that this particular evening did not meet the usual quality. We had a reservation so being seated was no problem. The restaurant was extremely crowded, which is understandable because of Valentines Day but the tables were pushed right up against one another which didn’t allow for intimate conversations, nor did allow for the servers to navigate the dining room without reaching in front of people. Additionally, there was little on no room to move your chair in or out without bumping into the adjacent tables. After being seated, it took nearly 15 minutes for someone to come take a drink order, and nearly another 15 minutes for it to arrive. The food quality was okay at best. Most of the meats had more fat than meat and it all seemed salty and greasy. This is not the usual quality. I would normally give Taurinus very high marks but this particular evening had a lot to be desired.
I went for lunch with my mother and a friend. At the end of my meal I was charged as dinner. I asked them why? They explained because of the holiday. Valentines Day is a Day of Observation, not a holiday. A City, State, or Federal Holiday I believe they are holidays. No stores closure, no offices closure , no City, State or Federal Departments closure. It was no information on their website. I was not informed about it when I got there.
I am a customer there and I always told people that Taurinos is a good place for lunch or dinner.
I was ripped off. This is the way that I feel.
Valentines Day is a day of Observance or called a Feast of St. Valentine where some people celebrate the day of love.
I am very disappointed with Taurinos.
I truly believe that a place can not overcharge a meal because they believe it’s a holiday. Usually, some places offer a package for Valentines Day and it was not the case at Taurinos.
Shame on them. Even, they didn’t serve all meats as they serve at dinner.
Had a very nice & relaxing lunch...just the way I like it!
Nice restaurant.Standard Brazilian steakhouse fare. Went on a Tuesday so very few people, but there was a more limited selection than usual ( seemed like sirloin, sirloin and sirloin , and chicken legs). Meat was ok but not as tasty or juicy as you’d expect. Salad bar was great. Staff super friendly.
I am surprised by all the great reviews — maybe they never have been to a Brazilian restaurant before, but this was horrible. Very little flavor, meat was not the best cuts. They came several times and the meat was raw. I like medium rare but it basically was just seared. The salad bar was also bad. Go to Fogo De Chau or not at all.
Great food and service like always.
The hostess and wait staff were very nice and helpful. They kept the meats coming continuously. The food was fresh and very tasty. Definitely will return
Buffet food was just ok. Not a huge variety. The meats were delicious and service was great.
The food really is great. There were times when I received pieces of meat that were still rare on the inside which I didn’t end up eating but the food that I ate that was actually cooked well, was great!
What a wonderful surprise to learn that they would be open in Christmas Day! It took so much stress off to not have to be cooking all day then clean it all up. We ate a delicious meal and were able to walk away and enjoy the rest of our evening together.
We love the salad bar in all of the different types of meat said she could have and the desserts were fantastic but a little overpriced
We had annual group Christmas lunch . Wonderful experience !
Went here with a co-worker and enjoyed ourselves. Food was really good and service was good too.
This place was awesome! My wife and I stumbled into it before a Sharks game. Food was amazing! Bring your appetite! Lots to chose from. Cool to sample one of each type of meats and not have to eat a huge steak or just chicken like at an a la carte restaurant.
Food was not as good as it used to be. They took a while to get meats out. We had to ask the manager to help with certain meats. She was awesome. Overall, it was a good experience. But service and quality is not as good as it used to be.
Excellent service, and very fast. But FYI, it wasn't busy at the time.
Food was good and I’m guessing you could eat all you want. I ate as much as I wanted. Service was decent. No parking except for street and paid parking garage which is was expensive. Salad bar lacking.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the staff was the perfect amount of attentive clear in our waitress told us there would be 16 different meats, but we were not presented with all of them. It was a quiet night, that might have made the difference. We were pleased to not be in the middle of hustle and bustle. Hope that means that this place remains a hidden gem.
Great food, great service. The salad bar had a great selection. The meat all started to taste the same by the end because of all the salt, but delicious nonetheless. Only suggestion would be some Brazillian performers like the Vancouver, BC Brazilian steak house had!
