Great food and great dining.
Great job on the remodel bar area was fantastic.
Excellent, very enjoyable evening, in a beautiful setting. Reasonable pricing, very friendly staff.
The place is so beautiful. It’s a very pricy restaurant, our bull was $300.00 and the fold was mediocre. If I pay this amount I expect to have at least a decent meal.
Beautiful, serene atmosphere, professional staff and flavorful food. The perfect dinner with those I love most.....my family.
The service was horrible and food was not worth the price.
Steak overcooked (medium rare was cooked to medium well done) but they replaced it for free and gave a free round of drinks
The first staff persons we saw were welcoming but the server that was assigned to us wasn't very friendly and looked in a rush to get us checked out
For the rest, the food is good but pricey for the quality we received (the duck was dry)
Paris first time in New York City!!
Love coming here. Service is amazing and food is great. I wish they did brunch on weekdays though.
Will be back
Good food, beautiful restaurant!
Wonderful dining experience in an amazing setting. It might have been the night I was there but I could help notice that there weren’t any visible minorities that were waiting tables. They were bussing, serving dinner rolls etc but none actually waiting.
Had great food and the sever was on point!!!! Will defiantly be back!!!!
Meal with out-of-town first-time visitors to NYC was exceptional. Food flavorful and beautifully presented, service friendly and attentive, setting within park breathtaking, decor (including restrooms) very classy but not stuffy. A very special place; great value for money.
Excellent service! Wonderful ambiance.
Our dinner was delicious, perfectly cooked and delivered professionally. Our server was excellent and gave us a great deal of advice on what to see in Manhattan and how to get around. He took photos of us to share with our friends and although it was a complete downpour outside - it was warm and friendly on the inside!! Thank you for a great experience and we will definitely recommend to our friends in the future!! Barb
As always, service and food was incredibly good. Even though it's pretty expensive, it's worth every penny, because you receive the best.
The very disappointing brounch ... Boring dishes, soulless, shrimp over cooked, and tasteless, bland ... Expensive for what we received. Nice place and service, without more. It has a beautiful souvenir shop.
We saw some flamboyant customers, that give the place a curious touch.
It is definitely not my favorite restaurant in the area...
The food was ‘Classic American’ dull under seasoned or very over seasoned expect exactly what’s on the menu no vegetables or garnish. Would have been superb 20 years ago. Dining has moved on
Lovely spot, very noisy but still magical
Excellent service but food was bellow average
A great experience for us on the final day of a long weekend in NY. We sat in the glassed-in area and it was great. Very bright and sunny. Brunch selection was good, food was well prepared, service got slow but there were no issues. It is pricey, but not unreasonable for a special meal in Central Park.
Birthday brunch. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. To top it off the birthday cake surprise at the end was perfect.
Delicious Sunday brunch. Beautiful setting both indoors and out. Excellent service.
Sunday Brunch at Tavern on the Green did not disappoint! The decor is classic, staff abundant and helpful and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend anyone give it a try when in NYC!
We had a great time celebrating my 30th birthday at the Tavern on the Green. Our food was all beautiful & delicious. They were willing to accommodate our two gluten-free guests with alternative bread. The restaurant was pretty & perfect for a classy celebration. Our waiter was friendly & helpful (he let us switch to a more shaded table, & took a bunch of photos of our group). We were surprised to even have some live jazz music while we ate. And they brought me a free slice of birthday cake, with a candle & a scoop of ice cream. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a party!
Wonderful brunch, excellent service, and lovely atmosphere! We'll be back!!
Fabulous in every way! Service was excellent. Love the remodeled space as I had not been there since 2009.
Wonderful! Glad to see it’s open again. Hope to return heat trip!
A totally disappointing experience. Starting with the hostess who was obnoxious and condescending . The meals were tasteless and mediocre . When I said to the waitress that the dish was disappointing she replied "Well I didn't make it". Service was awful: we tried to accept it by saying at least they weren't rushing us out. I guess they realize that their cliental is all tourist who will NEVER be back!
Birthday for my daughter-excellent!
Food is very mediocre, but it is beautiful there to meet a friend or having a date.
We decided to go to the bar when we arrived because we were early. We got no attention and no service until we literally yelled for them to come over. I could understand if it was busy but there was about nine seats open at the bar and 3 servers behind the bar. Terrible service! They have very limited drinks to order. My sister ordered a Malibu and pineapple and they said they don't do that. Since I've been to Tavern many times and since this happens often at the bar I decided to finally say something. Once we left the bar the service the ambiance and the food were spectacular. We had a fabulous experience overall and will go back. I hope they fix the issues at the bar.
Fantatsic New York experience! A must do when in NYC, or when you want a special evening. The waiter was very accommodating, and fun. The food was excellent, The ambiance wasn't too formal, but I wouldn't want to go without dressing a bit business casual to feel in sync with the vibe. I did see some people in jeans, and casual wear, but it is certainly more fun to dress up. The inside is elegant chic, and outside is a beautiful patio. The food was very special. We ordered a red snapper ceviche, served in a coconut as an appetizer. It doesn't get more unique than that. Our entrees were a moderate portion size, but we were both full. It was worth every penny for the service, ambiance, food quality, and the memory. Alcohol is a bit on the pricier side, but one should expect that in this location.
What a wonderful experience for brunch at a NY landmark! The “greenhouse” feel to the interior makes for a beautiful setting, and all the food we ordered was delish! Highly recommend!
Impeccable flavor in the brunch dishes. Service was friendly and attentive! Would highly recommend!
You pay for the location and experience. The food was decent but $27 steak and eggs should have a little zhuzz to it in my opinion. Service was prompt and basic. The booth seat I sat in was ripped badly and uncomfortable on my bare legs from shorts. Nothing special unless you just want the experience of dining here.
The food and service was great! Staff was very friendly and responsive to us.
Awesome! Service and food quality were stellar!
The Tavern should be a part of every NYC trip!!
Fabulous food, service and music! Can't wait to get back!
