We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Whether it’s family dinner, business lunch, or just a Ted’s Tart and coffee to-go, we’re as adaptable as your life is dynamic. Our breakfast menu is available all day because we believe that the most important meal of the day can be had morning, noon or night.
Ted’s Bulletin is a haven for comfort and celebrating the things we have in common: a hunger for good food at great value, a need for a place to be comfortable being ourselves, and a desire to connect with our community. At Ted’s Bulletin, everyone has a table, and every table has a story to tell.
Booked reservation through Open Table only to be told when we arrived that they “don’t use Open Table anymore.” News to me and likely Open Table too?
Took 10-15 mins before anyone realized we were seated and ready to order. Server did a good job of being attentive once he was assigned to us.
My steak was served gray and dry throughout for a “medium” order. Wife’s steak was overcooked for a “medium rare” order.
Prices are high for the value & quality.
Chose Ted’s because it was convenient to another appointment but wouldn’t travel to it nor recommend anyone go out of their way.
I love this place it was my first time here same as my boyfriend. We decided to come for both of birthdays in March.
We love Ted's Bulletin. This visit was great for dinner before our daughter's high school dance. She and her friends enjoyed it and Ted's was able to provide some options for some of the kids with food allergies which was a big plus.
Nice spot for breakfast. Service is a bit slow and distracted but pleasant. Nice selection for breakfast items and very nice that they offer gluten free bread. That's always a plus.
Great service, great meal, extremely efficient
We went to Ted's because we wanted a change from Matchbox, which is our usual post-movie go-to. Our server wasn't familiar with the menu, and couldn't explain my options for alternatives to hash browns on the breakfast burrito. I asked about the cheese grits, but at $1.75 upcharge, I decided not worth it, and just said to skip the hash browns. Was looking for a lower-carb alternative, but none was offered. I snagged another server to check -- he said tater tots or broccoli could've been substituted, or any other side, at an uncharge. Of course the burrito showed up with the full complement of hash browns. Server asked if we needed anything else, for example, did I want ketchup for the hash browns. I said "No, I don't want the hash browns. I asked not to get them. They will go in the trash and be wasted." He looked confused, then left. I had also asked for no cilantro in the burrito, ended up getting no salsa, so the whole burrito was pretty much bland and tasteless. The grilled flank steak pieces were small, overcooked and chewy. All in all, a disappointing meal. Oh yeah ... my husband had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and carrots. Meatloaf was oddly sweet (bbq-style sauce on top I guess), and the mashed potatoes had a gloppy consistency, and weren't very warm. Maybe Sunday evening isn't a good time to dine at Ted's.
The food was very good and the service was outstanding
Great experience! I’ll be back!
Able to have a business meeting in an informal environment.
It was good. A couple of things to note: my husband and I both ordered Italian dishes. No one offered fresh Parmesan cheese.
The Caesar salad was good but your salad plates are too small for your salads. The lettuce kept falling off the plate and that was rather annoying.
We had two glasses of iced water. They came with straws. Given the environmental issues, I never use plastic straws. I think your servers should ask if a straw is wanted or what about getting rid of them altogether? Or, if you can’t, offer paper straws. Thanks for listening.
Birthday meal with my wife. It was OK. Not memorable.
Outstanding! Thank you John for the fabulous experience!!
Good club sandwich. Server was great! Tried the smores tart to-go and it was so dry but maybe it’s better when you order in?
We arrived and checked in slightly early for our reservation. We were seated immediately. The waiter was not very attentive and charged us the normal price for our drinks even though it was happy hour. The food was delicious. We had the Crab Cake Sandwich was full of lump crab meat and came with tons of tasty fries. The Brick Chicken was also quite yummy and filling. The manager noticed our long wait to discuss the bill and spoke to our waiter but it still took another 15 minutes before the corrected bill was delivered so we could pay and leave. Later that night I received a note from Open Table that we were no show. That was later corrected after I provided details of our dining.
Such great food at reasonable prices! Upscale diner favorites (like deviled eggs and tater tots) but all fresh ingredients and better-than-homemade flavor! Everything we ate was amazing and we were treated with smiles and friendly, welcoming attitudes.
Short ribs were delicious and ample portions. We had tarts for dessert....the crust was dry and tasteless...we never finished it. On our way out we walked by the dessert trays...the cakes looked fantastic and so yummy...!
I would have given a 5 star rating except for the dessert disappointment.
Service was not even at times...long waits for recieving bill, paying. Sweet and positive waitress who provided main course descriptions...all positive. May have been shot staffed.
Overall the food is very good and it’s not too loud. Our waiter was also working at the bar and he could not see our table. We had to ask others for water, boxes to go, and our check. We think asking bartenders to keep track of tables they can’t see us a mistake. We were a little surprised by the smallish serving sizes. We ordered the tater tots (almost $10) and we got about 12 small squares of tots. I ordered a mimosa (almost $10) and it was only 5 ounces. Not even a full pour of wine. The pop tarts are definitely not worth it. Bland and not enough filling. My avocado toast was great as was my husband’s pastrami sandwich. I’d go again for sure but our bill was $54 for 2 people and it’s best to know this before dropping in for a sandwich.
Disappointed with the pop tarts. They were cold, hard as minimal filling. Waiter was overly busy though restaurant not crowded. I’ve had better breakfast at Silver Diner. Overhyped
Excellent service, wonderful food. We will be back.
Never fails by far best breakfast place in the DC Metro - Reston and this location
My fiancé and I met up for a breakfast date here after hearing a lot of great things about this place. Pop tart was a little dry, sausage patties and hash browns were unfortunately very bland, and our eggs were either over cooked or undercooked... our server was quite new and he wasn’t very knowledgeable but he was very nice. To be honest, I had such high hopes but I am not sure we will be returning based on this experience.

Our server was relentless trying to up-sell us. Eventually he did manage to sell us the upgrade to tater tots, which we regretted even before we saw the upcharge on the check.
The "bowl" of soup was stingy, to say the least.
This is definitely not a "spur of the moment" place if you're looking for a quick lunch value.
We'll probably still come back, but keeping in mind we have to be on our guard for unannounced "extras" on the bill, and only when we feel like "splurging."
Great experience. Always consistent. We love Ted's. We were there late this time and when we first all ordered milkshakes for dessert our waitress initially said the milkshake bar was closed. We pushed back and they wound up making them for us. It was 9:30 and restaurant closes at 11pm. If milkshake bar closes early that should be publicized.
My family of six found the food pretty average, the steak not cooked to the proper temperature, and one dish that did not taste right. Service was very slow for 5:00 pm with very few patrons. The manager was attentive to our concerns, so I give her praise for doing her best. The server was pleasant but inattentive. I am not sure I would return as the food was unimaginative, not well prepared, and over-priced for what we got.

I enjoyed my food. We had some problems with the service, especially with the beers- an IPA brought instead of an ale, then a confession that they don’t even offer the ale at the Virginia restaurant. The salad came after the rest of the food.
Wonderful time ... great food & service!
Had to wait 45 minutes for a table even with the reservation.
Great variety of food options and fun retro, yet elegant atmosphere.
Great experience! Great food choices, atmosphere, and service! Will definitely be returning!
It was a very enjoyable experience. The food was pretty good and the service was impeccable.
Excellent meal for 6 with superb service
Went to Ted’s Bulletin based on reputation. Had to wait 30 minutes beyond our reservation time before we were seated. Waiter mixed up our order, giving me my wife’s meal and vice versa (burritos, so we couldn’t tell difference until we ate them). After delivering food, on two occasions we had to literally yell at him to get his attention in order to refill water glasses and sodas (but he was very attentive when it was time to pay the bill). Food was so-so at best—certainly not what we had expected. Would recommend that anyone wishing to go at Ted’s lower their expectations before going.
Had another great meal at Ted’s Bulletin. My French Toast and chocolate milkshake were delicious as always, and the food came out in a timely manner.
Always a great choice! Great service and ambiance!
My sister and I went to this location for lunch and had a waiter named Pete who was phenomenal! Pete was friendly, attentive, and made our experience outstanding.
My wife and I took friends to dinner at Ted's Bulletin Merrifield. Our waiter was new on the job, and she was eager but not yet very knowledgeable. I had the short rib pot roast, which was delicious. My wife had the steak Oscar, which was also good. However, she ordered it medium, and it came medium rare (barely). The cook did fix it, but it would have been nice for it to have been right the first time. Toward the end of our meal, a number of groups of (apparently) students whose dress indicated they were en route to a dance came in, and the noise level in the restaurant skyrocketed to the point that conversation was almost impossible. We're glad (truly) that they were having a good time, and this comment is just to indicate that the sound levels can be quite high in the restaurant. Overall, it was a good dinner.
Just coffee and a delicious pop tart! Soooo good!
Food was good, Pete was very attentive, the children in the park were entertaining :-) .. the Pop tarts were amazing 3 to go!!!!!
Food was not prepared with the correct ingredients. The manager was very responsive - the wait staff appeared indifferent.
While the portion size of the fries was very large, they were limp and barely room temperature.
At this weekday lunch there weren't many patrons so I didn't expect the fries to be sitting out for a while, which is probably what caused their limpness.
