Everyone at our table enjoyed the food and drinks. Our waiter, Michael, was very knowledgeable and personable. They also met our request to be seated on the second floor, which is a bit more quiet. One of our favorite places!
The restaurant is very classy, the people are supper friendly and our waiter Joe was awesome.
Possibly the best food steak in buffalo... the lobster is amazing... the lobster bisque soup is to die for and the “Aviation” cocktail is one of my new favorites.

Took my wife for Valentine's. Did not disappoint. Great ambience. Seafood was phenomenal. It is a little pricier, but you pay for what you get. Definitely recommend.
Always an amazing experience
It was my first time here. Very high end fancy restaurant. I had a gift certificate to use so I took my Valentine. All the food was excellent. I got the Bone In Rib Eye steak and it was absolutely amazing. I was okay with paying the price for it it was huge and so good. The service coulda been better in my opinion. I know Valentine’s Day is a busy night, but my waiter forgot part of my order and I asked for more bread and never got it. Overall food was incredible and I would go back for the Rib Eye one day.

Celebrated hubby's birthday. Food and service were excellent. Space was small and dark. Our 2 person table was so close to the one next to us so it was uncomfortable and I had to turn my body to walk between the two tables to get into my seat. We were sent an email saying to park behind the restaurant but when we drove down their driveway, cars were in the way so had to back out and park the other street behind Tempo. The night ended not good because our vehicle was broken into while parked at the street behind their restaurant.

Food and service are exceptional. Great vibe but if you’re looking for a very quiet atmosphere be sure to request table in the back room, away from the bar. We enjoyed the vibe.
Celebrated my birthday by having dinner here - which was also our first visit. Beautiful restaurant, elegantly restored old house on Delaware Avenue with impeccable service from everyone starting with the hostess, the bartender, our server and the other wait staff. I enjoyed the lobster bisque to start while my wife chose the Caesar salad - both incredible. She went with the lobster entree which was an entire lobster - deshelled - over a fresh corn risotto. I had the rib eye which was enormous and serves with a roasted potato, onion and mushroom hash. Both were absolutely fantastic and more than either of us could eat. We finished with desert and desert cocktails that were all to-die-for! Thanks Tempo for a wonderful meal and a fabulous way to celebrate my birthday.

Excellent restaurant..the food was exceptional..both our meals..tasted great..the servers were very professional..food,drinks,bread,appetizers..all came in a timely fashion..usually..dine there..3-4 times a year..never had a bad experience
We had a fantastic meal at Tempo! Drinks, dinner, and dessert were all delicious and the service was great as well.
My only complaint would be that the music seemed a bit loud for the more intimate atmosphere.
It was a special dinner for us, with long-standing friends who summer here but have never visited in the winter. They had liked Tempo before, and so we chose it again, and had a lovely time. The food and service were excellent, and the inner room by the fire was warm and intimate. Thank you!
One of if not the nicest restaurant in Buffalo. The Ribeye and Lobster risotto were absolutely amazing, the drinks are well made, the deserts are delicious and the restaurant itself is dark, romantic and very welcoming.
Food was generally good although one diner found the tuna with banana pepper to be too spicy to eat much of. When she mentioned this politely to the server as he was clearing our dishes his responses was 'it's supposed to be spicy'. Not the best response - the menu did not highlight the spiciness and he might have mentioned this when we ordered. My sausage and rapini was good but really garlicky. Wine list was very extensive but also really expensive. Cheapest glass was $9, most were more like $14! Overall, it was not a bad experience but for the price (steaks start around $50 and go to $95!!!!!) there are better (e.g., Lombardos, which has a similar menu, better service, better ambience).

Everything was wonderful! Service on point as usual and the oysters were incredible. My husband had the lobster bisque and that was delicious. Steaks were both cooked perfectly.
Only thing that fell short was both steaks were served with a “potato and onion hash” which I felt was a little lazy. I would have preferred to see a nice veggie with mashed potatoes
Wonderful food at a reasonable price. Service is excellent, ambiance is pleasant. Get a table early if you aren't crazy about crowds.

Started off fantastic, drinks, salad, cheese plate was excellent!
Service was outstanding. Nice nice touch with the cleaning of the crumbs in between courses.
Then the entrees came and that's when our experience fell apart. I ordered the Strip steak (always my favorite choice when I actually order red meat vs. a seafood dish) and my wide ordered the Steak Oscar, filet with crab meat on top. Price was $52 for mine and $62 for hers. BOTH steaks were so OVER CHARRED the outside tasted like shavings you get off when you clean your grill. When I told the waiter he said their pan is so unique that it sears at a high temp. To be fair he offered to remake the steak but at that point I just ate it, my mistake. I've been whining about my choice not to return it ever since.

Every single part of our meal was flawless. They split our appetizer into two separate plates/portions for us, which is convenient and allows for neatness. They offer both traditional and unique/exploratory dishes. Tiramisu is out of this world good.

We chose Tempo for our New Year's Eve dinner celebration because of their reputation, because of their willingness to work with us (two of our party of four required gluten-free diets because of celiac disease), and because of our past experience with the restaurant when we rented the upper floor for a wedding celebration. The service was "spot-on" from beginning to end...from picking wine, to picking appetizers, main courses and desserts. The chef worked with the two celiac guests and prepared perfect gluten free meals. The two guests not requiring gluten-free meals picked from the specials menu and everything was ideal. The pace was leisurely and worked out perfectly as we were offered complimentary prosecco at midnight to finish our meal and celebrate the new year. The noise level was understandably a little high because all patrons were in a celebratory mood. Tempo has had the reputation for being one of the best restaurants in a city of great restaurants, and I believe that they "hit it out of the park" this time around.
Incredibly disappointed. Food still good quality, but some staff lack awareness of even passable customer service. On this showing, Tempo is trading on its past reputation only, which won’t last much longer. No longer in the same league as Buffalo’s other fine dining restaurants.
We went to enjoy a great dinner with old friends and it did not disappoint! Michael was a great waiter suggesting great dishes and wines. We ordered oysters, the beet salad, the carpaccio and battered calamari. Everything was delicious! Then we ordered the filet mignon x 3 and the chicken Milanese. Again everything was so incredibly delicious. Our filets however were a tad bit salty, even though the reduction sauce was magnificent. For dessert we ordered the creme brûlée and the sour cream chocolate cake. The brûlée was incredible but the cake was a bit hard. All in all though we really enjoyed ourselves. I would def return!

We went the day after Christmas to celebrate the birth of our grandson 3 days prior. The two of us are in the hospitality business and we were recommended to have dinner at Tempo by the owner of the AirBNB we were renting. Beautiful ambience, very attentive wait staff, excellent food. Can’t wait to go back when we are back in Buffalo! If you can get reservations it is highly recommended by us!
