Good food; great location and cool historic building. Service was subpar but manageable.
The kitchen seemed overwhelmed on Sunday evening. Server seemed super rushed and abrupt. Soup came out with appetizers. My first entree was completely cold and and had an overly sweet sauce, the second was missing ingredients. They comped the entree for me which was good but everyone commented that the quality of the food was not what we expected given the small portions and price point. Mediocre food and service at best.
We have made an annual visit to the Tewksbury Inn for the last thirty five years. We love it!
We had not been to the Tewksbury Inn for many years so we didn't know what to expect. I can say that everything about our lunch/brunch exceeded our highest expectations! The menu gave us lots of options. The meals we selected were wonderful and the service could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. We would highly recommend Tewksbury Inn for lunch or for dinner.
I just wish there were more vegetables in my dish. There were only 2-3 string beans!
Great as usual!!
The outdoors bartender was efficient, amiable and attentive. The calamari was overdone and rubbery, but the rest of the meal was good. The salmon salad, the tuna wrap, and the salmon appetizer were tasty.
Dinner occasion with my out of town parents
Excellent food and Service!!!
Never disappoints !!
We went for our anniversary and had not been to Tewksbury Inn in several years. They didn't disappoint. The service was outstanding and the food was terrific. Cooked to perfection. They have a nice varied menu plus daily specials. We ate in the main dining room which is very quaint. The noise level got a little high due to a large party being sitter next to us, but still a very enjoyable dinner.
The food was excellent. The waitstaff was inattentive, rude and forgot our appetizer. The prices were reasonable.
This place is definitely 5 star! The food, staff and atmosphere were perfect! We enjoyed spending our anniversary here.
Consistently outstanding food!! First time in outdoor dining area. Ambience beautiful with chandelier under awnings.
Perfect. Roger and Patti are fantastic
Excellent spot for lunch after Apple picking at Melicks. Highly
Hands ribs very tough
One of my favorite spots. Brought my 6 and 9 year olds for a “date” night and they loved it also. Very accommodating for us.
I have been coming to The Tewksbury Inn with my family for years. My mother and I came by for dinner this past Saturday and had a wonderful evening. The ambiance is always something we look forward to and we really enjoyed our meal. I will say though, that the service was mediocre and the noise level too high on the upper floor where we were seated. There was a very loud and large party in the same room as us and at one point it became difficult to hear my Mother speak. The guest sitting next to us also agreed it felt a little inconsiderate given that most of the tables looked like they were set for deuces and quiet conversation.
Nonetheless, we enjoyed our meals and had a nice evening once the large party left.
We will be back but perhaps something to consider as feedback.
Start to finish great meal. Waiter Nickolas was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was delicious. And after leaving my credit card behind, Ashley went the extra mile and used my OpenTable reservation to call me directly and let me know it was there and being held for me. Thanks again.
Went for lunch with another couple. Food, service and table were great. I only wish the dining room was open/-we ate in the bar. As usual though- most everything was first rate. Very comfortable and they did not rush us through our meal. We will be back.
Always a fun and tasty experience at the Tooks!! New guest from Florida loves the 1781 history!
The Tewksbury Inn is consistently delicious and the perfect place to meet a friend, for a date night or a business meeting!
Not so good! Way over priced, took 3 hours total and food not good!
Building is old and looks to be experiencing deferred maintenance. The food was along the same lines as the ribs seemed microwaved to me.
We have loved this restaurant for over 35 years excellent friendly service delicious food in an historic iconic building always enjoyable!
Food was not great, no hot water in the men’s room. The place looked really run-down inside. It used to be much better-we were disappointed....
We expected pretension but were pleasantly surprised by a genuine interest in the quality of our experience. When the steak my lady ordered arrived quite to the contrary of its intended promise, our pleasant waiter Nick and hostess Heather sprung into action without hesitation and made things right. The chef graciously assumed the cost of the plate. Despite the reasonable amount of time it took to return the dish on a busy night, we could not have been more pleased. Having had a bad experience 20 years ago and not returned since, our first night back to the Inn proved that redemption is real. Feel like we made new acquaintances and will be returning soon!
Pros: The food was amazing from start to finish: the appetizer, the entree, and the dessert! Although me and my husband were both a little hesitant to order seafood in a place like Tewksbury Inn our choices were absolutely delicious. The only complain was the food portion. We found it to be on the small side.
Cons: We sat outside and until the patio area got full of patrons the cars driving by made the experience a little annoying. Once it filled with human chatter I forgot about the cars.
Another negative: the patio area needed to be swept. There was food on the floor and it wasn't a pleasant view.
I went for my birthday dinner. Service was great and food delicious as usual . I especially love to sit outside and it was a lovely evening.
We sat outside, it was lovely. The beet appetizer is really good! We had the cod and the filet mignon, perfectly prepared. My husband had the ribs, also good. Will definitely return.
Food and service are always good. We always enjoy ourselves when we go to Tewksbury Inn.
Solid all around local choice for date night or a business meal. On a beautiful summer night, a delicious meal on the outdoor patio is certain choice to impress your guest. Add it to the list of "must go to" restaurants in the Bedminster, NJ area.
Fantastic. A jewel. We enjoyed the scallops and could not rave more. We’ll be back!
The food is always so amazing with plenty of choice for all different tastes
Wonderful meal...the lobster appetizer was delicious. The outdoor patio is the perfect place for a summer dinner. Will be back soon.
My favorite restaurant in the area. Love the food, staff and atmosphere.
The food is always consistently good and innovative. Love the outdoor dining in warm weather. Service can be inconsistent , but is usually good.
Great outdoor dining spot and the 1/2 price wine nite on their entire wine list was awesome on Mondays..Anxious to go back.
Food is always excellent...calamari best ever...filet and risotto cake exceptional as was the cod...only complaint was they were out of the wine we wanted
I love the Tewksbury Inn. Great meal and service ever time I go.
