Welcome to the height of fine dining. Welcome to Tex
Good variety of meat options makes this experience worth the trip!!
I was disappointed to find out what some of the previous meat options are now sold as ala cart items at an additional charge.
It’s obviously a slightly better experience when the salad bar is serve yourself, but they’re doing a great job during the whole COVID thing to make sure diners still have an enjoyable time.
Thank you so much for a delightful 1st time visit
Extremely disappointed we weren’t made aware the salad bar wasn’t open before we got there. Also, the reason we went was for the lamb chop which would have been an additional $9 on top of the already overpriced bill. Spent $120 for two adults and a child (6 years old) with the military discount of 25%.
Excellent Everything!!! Food is fabulous, service outstanding, highly recommended.
Thank you so very much!!!
We enjoy the selection of the meats. Specially because they are done the way we like it. The salad bar is excellent with many choices.
Much improved dining experience from
Early October. The only blight was the salmon which I get every trip. It was salty & the texture was a little tough. It was definitely some steps down in quality from what they normally have
We had Andrew our waiter he was spectacular. Amazing service. It was crazy some things changed but we understood with covid... loved the food as always a bit sad that there was no Crème Brûlée or Pecan Pie but we tried the Brazilian Cheesecake amazing! My boyfriend and I loved Texas De Brazil, our favorite restaurant. First choice we thought of to get out of the house. Thank you so much
We are glad to hear that had a great experience with Andrew. We heard you, now our Crème Brûlée and Flan are back on our menu, we really hope you enjoy it next time you visit us. Thank you.
First time visit , the initial waiter was great , helped us understand how everything works and the specials .
However once he walked away it was impossible to get a drink , my girlfriend wanted one of the 5 dollar special drinks and she didn’t get it until 75% through our dinner
Food was great , no complaints there
Noise level was pretty bad , not your fault but a big party was right next to us and they just kept getting louder and louder .
Lastly I reserved our seats almost a month in advance because the last time we came we were turned away because it was packed , with that being said we had to wait 15 minutes for a table .
Overall not bad , service needs some adjusts , but nothing series
The food was great and so was our waiter. The downfall of the evening was when the servers stopped coming around with the meats. We also saw, what turned out to be beef ribs served at another table. They didn't bring them to us until I asked our waiter about it. We sat there for 15 minutes while servers went to all other tables and never came to ours. I woukd have to say the one in Syracuse was much more attentive and doubt I would go back to the Albany location.
Make sure you make reservations early so you're not stuck to a time near closing staff didn't come around with meats at. End and was limited to 3 meats..... Hmmmmm..... Expected more than 3 per menu online
Unable to go to Salad Bar. Cost of dinner not worth the quality of the food
Awesome place. Servers were great!!
Always a class act. I was concerned that the inability to retrieve my own salad bar items was going to be disappointing but it was anything but.
Apparently the managers actual assemble the plates and the presentation was perfect.
Just the right amount of everything I asked for beautifully plated.
Meats were on par and service was top notch
This was an excellent visit.
Thank you Albany Texas de Brazil
This place did not live up to expectations. The service was horrible and the waiter really sucked
It is not worth the money to go here with the new rules in place they walk past your table with meat and don’t offer you anything your server will lol at you sitting there and not come back and when you ask for something you don’t get it anyways. Loved this place before the pandemic but it’s not worth it now.
The waiter was good. But the hostess was rude, walked away from the front desk for over 5 minutes with us waiting without saying a word. We had a reservation and the hostess proceeded to take the other 3 people besides us name or checked them in, while we waited 10 plus minutes to be seated with a reservation. Plus the table wasn't ready either, and took another 5 minutes to be cleaned off.
We have been there many times but this time was disappointing. Filet had the silver skin sill on at least the pieces we had so you had to try and cut that off. When they sliced sirloin it was in slivers. A lot might have been due to COVID. Because of COVID you could not go to salad bar. You checked off what you wanted and it was brought to you. We like to see what is there to pick what we want. They had less to offer than they had all the other times. Very hard to hear and understand server with mask on and music as load as it was.
when we filled out the sheet for the salad bar we never got what we wanted, marinated mushrooms, lobster bisque...and then our waiter asked us if we wanted more mashed potatoes, we said yes, he never brought them? There was no grilled shrimp on the kabobs.
And when the check came for $111.00, I gave the waiter my gift card for $100.00 and the bonus gift card for $25.00. He brings me a bill for $11.00, I asked him why he didn't use the $25.00 gift card, he said it didn't have a number, because it doesn't. When you get the $100 gift card, the $25.000 is the bonus attached to the $100.00. Really weird that the waiter doesn't understand the promotion. Now I have a $25.00 gift card that I need to redeem. Unbelievable.
I went with a group of 4 for a birthday and two of us received the wrong salad/starting courses. Which for this, we had to give a slip of what we wanted to our waiter so it was clear what we wanted for food. One of us never received a drink that we ordered and they tried to charge us in the end for it. We waited an hour for the food to come and then another hour for the meat “Brazilian” portion of the meal to begin. We had then ordered dessert to go before leaving because by now we had been there for 3 hours and we got home to eat the dessert and one of them was not what we ordered. On top of this is was ridiculously expensive for how terrible of service we got.
Most meats were very dry. Salad bar was ok, considering covid wise.
First time here. Really enjoyed t. Employees were very friendly. Can’t wait to go back
The music was a little loud, service was GREAT!!!
After being seated we waited over 25 minutes to get drinks including water, we then waited over an hour and 20 minutes before our salads were brought. We had a party of 7 and only 1 individual size server of hot sides was brought to the table until I asked for more. Once the meat started flowing it came frequently but it took us over an hour and a half to get to that point. Definitely not worth the $476.00 bill.
One of my favorite restaurants, this visit did get better but at first I was a little disappointed but the manager fixed the problem.
The food was great but service was very slow. It took a while to get each item we ordered from drinks to dessert. Our check was incorrect.
We were a 4 top celebrating 3 birthdays & the restaurant gave each of the birthday people a free dessert which was amazing.
The restaurant was loud which it has been every time I’ve been there (several times a year)
Excellent food and service as always. Interesting how they have overcome covid guidelines and have implemented them very well. Felt very safe.
It was as good as you could expect dining in COVID era, salad bar was weird, as they served you, meats were awesome as always
Delicious food and great service. Love this place, will definitely go again.
It was a different experience then we had been accustomed to in the past due to the salad bar being served by the servers since COVID prevented us from serving ourselves. It was innovative that they set up tickets to select what you would like & it was all delivered from multiple servers. One disadvantage to that, totally beyond their control and not a complaint but I would have preferred to see the food & take my portions based on what appealed to me. I am glad they could keep the salad bar going even if it couldn’t be self serve for the time being. Definitely not as busy as we have seen it before there. All in all a good experience, the server was so patient with us. One thing that really was appreciated was the hero’s discount for the two corrections officers & the teacher at the table! Great way to celebrate & family friendly.
Their lobster bisque is amazing!!!!
For a Thursday evening, it was very busy.
There should have been more servers.
We ordered a rack of lamb chops that were so salty that we had to send them back for another.
We also had the filet which was good, but not as good as I remember from my last visit.
I think that covid has hurt this restaurant, the staffing and the food were not up to pre covid visits.
The sides are ordinary and the pork was dry. It’s way too much money for the quality. Before tip, it was $167 for three people (one glass of wine, otherwise soda).
I realize things have changed due to cover, however, I was disappointed with the way the meats were being served. There are no more green and red wafers to turn over at the tables so the servers could know when someone did or did not request more servings. Consequently, after the meats were served one time the servers did not come around unless we asked our waiter to locate a meat server and send them to our table. I much prefer the previous method that included the green and red wafers that would let the meat servers know when someone was ready for more. The price was the same, but the availability of the meats and the service were certainly not the same.
Everything was just fine.
All the food was delicious, I wish I hadn't eaten before I went.
Great time, socially distant, amazing food! Drive 1.5 hours so my daughter could have her birthday dinner there...was the only place she wanted to go!
What a great experience to have.. delicious food and great staff..
Love this place. I would recommend it. A little expensive but it’s all you can eat.
I know there are new restrictions with COVID but service was very slow. It was hard to get a refill on anything.
