Food was fine , nothing to complain about however the service was what let this dining experience down. Was rushed in ordering. Staff looking very unhappy and despite an early booking, we felt rushed though.
Service felt a bit rushed initially as staff are obviously used to clientele coming in just for an hours lunch. Once they realised we were in no rush the meal felt less frantic.
Great food and service.
Lovely food but the service was very slow, particularly for drinks.
I have been to Thai Square before, both in Putney and here in Mansion House. I have always been impressed with the food. However, on this occasion I can only say the food was disappointing. The starters (shredded duck and squid) were decent enough but the Pad Thai fell well below the mark. I have ordered the (shrimp) Pad Thai on several occasions before and always enjoyed it. It should be their signature dish. In this case it was mushy and just did not taste real fresh. Uninspired. The presentation was unimpressive and they no longer wrap the Pad Thai in egg. Unfortunately two of my table partners had also ordered a Pad Thai (veggie and chicken) and I believe their impression was the same.
Space and ambiance and service is still okay. I'm quite sure I will return one more time but do hope they will sort out their food - it starts and ends with that.
A great place for authentic Thai cuisine; the food is incredibly tasty, generously portioned and you're never left feeling unsatisfied! The staff are also wonderful, attentive and quick with the service.
A good choice for a lunchtime or evening catch-up with friends. The service is prompt and friendly (but not overly so). The food taste freshly cooked and there is lots to chose from. The cocktails are great, they remind me of being on holiday. Recommended.
Worst Thai meal ever. Restaurant very tired. Staff not really interested. Food very poor soggy Pad Thai not like Thai food whatsoever . Manager was good and we didn’t pay for two dishes . Didn’t hardly eat any of it. Won’t be returning
Absolutely amazing!! Food was incredible and so was the service. Would definitely go there again.
Fantastic meal here. Staff were very pleasent and attentive. 100% I would visit again! Best Thai food ever.
Fantastic food; great decor and wonderful service
It was a team lunch during work hours, so we had to be quick. They did a good job at being quick and friendly, and the food was good
Our waitress was lovely, and we asked to sit near the window which was honoured. The food was really nice and fresh, but the waitress is new and needed to find out about the portion sized when we asked how many duck spring rolls were served.
Very attentive and asked if we wanted more drinks.
I would definitely go back as I would like to try more things on the menu.
Nice relaxed atmosphere.
Didn't get any chopsticks though.
A Good Place. Nice Food. Great ambience. Authentic.
Been here a few times. Always great service and excellent food
Efficient service and good food. Not huge portions and pricey for what it is but then it’s in the city so fair enough
Went for lunch and the service was fast and food so so tasty. One of my favourite places and would highly recommend.
Very polite and quick service.
Nice table but a bit quiet during the week. It is also a bit pricey.
Good vegetarian choices. Tasty food.
I've been before and would go again - good tasty food, restaurant looks nice, staff are friendly and attentive - I only have good things to say about it...!
I hadn’t been to Thai Square for a while but glad nothing had changed. Quick & courteous service and excellent food.
Must go again soon.
No complaints where the food was concerned.
Very tasty especially the vegetarian option of which there are many. Clearly labelled menu suited by gluten intolerant wife
Thai square exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing and the service was great. Food is pricey but considering it is in the city, it was what was expected. Would definitely recommend!
Great Great Great
Good food but expensive though...£100 for 2 adults and 2 kids with no alcohol
Great little place - very friendly and attentive staff. Had a business lunch here and was a very nice combination of privacy for a confidential conversation, but not too isolated. Food quality was great - a little spicey for my taste, but very nice.
Have visited other Thai Squares on numerous occasions and have always apenjoyed the food. Unfortunately, this one did not live up to expectations. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated with lots of authentic ornaments from the region however, the food really lets this place down. It was quite frankly very very poorly presented and lacked any finesse. The mixed starters may as well have come from Iceland (not the Country) and the mains were poor examples of Thai cooking. If you are going to be an authentic Thai restaurant then don’t let your English chef who would look more in place at a greasy spoon cafe into the dining room ! Also, the restaurant cleared out at 2:15 and the staff started to mop the floors which didn’t exactly make my guests and I particularly welcome.. The only saving grace was that the wine being a Thai white was exquisite but even that is not enough to go back to this restaurant.
Restaurant quickly accommodated us and we were able to have a good business lunch
Cold as heating not working. Xmas menu was rubbish
Nice venue. A lot bigger than what you think from the outside. Very clean and presented well. Staff are pleasant and efficient and food well served and presented. Portions are generous. Nice selection of juices and cocktails.
The food we had did taste cooked but one major issue was the chicken satay skewers were brought out half cooked and cold..!!
Really excellent quality Thai food . I had the deep fried fish which was pretty spicy and not as heavy as it sounds. Service was attentive and the restaurant buzzy.
Good for a quick meal at lunchtime. Will definitely return.
A steadfast favourite. Had lunch here and the food was tasty as always and the service fast and efficient. Recommend !
Thai Square always provides reliably good food, efficiently and with great service.
A favoured venue for Thai food fans in the city. Can get busy and then service slow down. We were seated next to some plants where we constantly had flies hovering. Once we asked to move it was much better.
I have already sent a detailed account, we were most unhappy with the food, which was cold and dry. Will not be returning, however the branch at Trafalgar was fantastic
We visited Thai Square off Trafalgar Square a month ago and had a fantastic meal, great service, the food was fresh and delicious , obviously very popular, by the time we left at about 7.30, it was packed and people were being turned away. We were in town again on the 1st of August,as I am being prepared to donate a kidney, so a long day at Guys Hospital. As it is our wedding Anniversary on the 6th, my wife thought it would be a way to end the day to visit Thai Square Mansion House and have an early celebration. We arrived at about 6.00pm, there was only one other table taken, which concerned us a little, but we decided to stay. We ordered crispy duck and chicken satay to start, and to be fair we should have cancelled the rest of the order and left. Both dishes were only warm, and in fact the chicken was cool in temperature. The duck was not crispy and hot ( as you normally expect ) and was fatty in texture. The chicken was dry and not at all flavoursome and tender. We did mention this to the waitress, but she was not interested. We decided against ordering wine, we had a chicken and beef dish, both non descript in flavour, but at least they were hot. The best dish was the egg fried rice, but we have enjoyed better quality rice all over the world. We left within an hour, and there was only two tables taken. We would strongly recommend the restaurant in Trafalgar, but would suggest that diners give the Mansion House restaurant a 'wide birth'
Very nice restaurant and would be going back. However as it was a really hot day we were very hot and the AC felt like they would turn it on for 5 minutes and then back on.
However overall experience was lovely.
