An excellent choice of restaurants in the area. Great food and ambience. Varied choice on the menu. Recommend the Thai mussaman chicken curry! Service was good and value for money. In expensive. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to visit. Would suggest a booking though as it was very busy when we visited at 7pm
I can see a return visit if we are in that part of London again.
Thanks for your assistance and service.
Food was good the soup was the best part of our meal the other parts left you looking for the love in their product offerings...the front end staff were 1st rate hopefully the kitchen will find a way to be proud of their kraft.
The service was very good very friendly staff and polite, the starters of spring rolls were not the best we have tasted but the main meal was extremely tasty and beautifully cooked the chicken was lovely and tender overall a nice experience we tipped the staff and then found out gratuities were already added to the bill so in effect we tipped twice this was a little disappointing, but overall a good experience
One word: scrumptious! Traveled to Chiang Mai almost a decade ago and I have been searching ever since for the same authentic, flavorful Thai taste in every countries I have visited since. Can honestly say that my search is finally over :-) The tom yum goong tastes exactly the same as the one I had from a local chef in Chiang mai. Don’t even let me get started with the sticky rice and mango (yummy!!!) dessert portion could have been bigger though. Prices on the higher side: £ 90 for two (nonalcoholic drinks).
Will be back for sure!!! :-)
We enjoyed the food which was absolutely delicious. Very quiet place and the waiter was very courteous and helpful in assisting us make choices from the menu.
First time there and would visit again - for sure
Great food and service waiter very helpful will go again
It’s not easy to spot from the exterior and the interior is very narrow so seating can be a little tight. However, service was extremely efficient, despite there being a huge group at the time. Menu offered a good selection at a reasonable price- food was delicious.
Our second visit to Thai Taste and just as good as the first time. Excellent food and service and reasonably priced.
I invited some Spanish friends and we enjoyed a delightful meal in this tiny restaurant. The service was good and even more important these days the noise level was low. We could converse without problems. I would sincerely recommend Thai Taste.
Solid Thai food, friendly service.
Great food, friendly staff and perfect value for money. Would definatly eat here again!
Food was very good. Starter and main course took long time to be served.
The special red curry sea bass fillet was very good. The quality of the steamed jasmin rice was exceptional!!! Starters are ok, nothing exciting. Thai Wontons much better than the Thai Vegetable Spring Rolls.
No soy experto en Thai pero disfrutamos de la cena. Ambiente agradable y servicio atento
Nice restaurant, the service was excellent and the quality and presentation of the food very good.
When in London we 'll return.
Great Thai food and reasonable price for London
This was our first visit to Thai Taste. It certainly won’t be our last. The quality of the food, the service and the ambiance was excellent. My Thai red curry was just delicious, while my wife said her calamari was the best she’d ever had - and that’s saying something. We stayed in the area for an event at the Royal Albert Hall, and next time we’re in the area, we will most certainly be re-visiting Thai Taste. Thanks to all there for a wonderful evening.
Love the food. We are Thai and we can taste really Thai taste! We have a great experience here :)
Nice place. Great food
Booked at 2 . Got there on the dot. Asked for a coffe at the rnd of the meal but they wouldn’t’ serve it because they has turned off the machine.
We had to ask for dessert in the middle of the meal because they were closing the kitchen.
Don’t take boomings for 2 pm if the cooks and waiter is in a rush to close
The restaurant was pleasant but a little small and compact where we were sitting. Had there been more customers it would have been too close to have a private conversation.
Food wonderful, service horrible. We sat for 30mins in a half-full restaurant before an unpleasant lady came to us, not smiling nor talking, but simply standing beside the table with notepad in hand. We were within 2mins of walking out when she came by. Our food came out after many who showed after us had already eaten, and we needed to flag-down other servers to get what we wanted (more water, etc.).
Lovely food and wine. Good service and reasonably priced food.
Very nice restaurant delicious Thai food.
I have dined at Thai Taste many times when visiting London and staying in my regular hotel nearby. I have always been well pleased with food, service and ambience, hence took a family and friends group of 6 there for an evening meal (this review). On this occasion I was disappointed to be seated in the downstairs room where we were the only diners, hence the ambience of the main dining area upstairs was lacking. The food and service, however, were as good as ever, and I would continue to recommend.
Nice table , quick service and nice beer
The restaurant is very busy so don’t expect high speed service. The food is worth waiting for though and everything was lovely for all five of us. Prices are reasonable too. Strongly recommended.
Great food let down by very slow service to the point where I thought we were being deliberately ignored.
Delicious food! Love this place! Will definitely be returning.
Good food and an extensive menu. With a visit of you're in the area.
Excellent food, good service. My only reservation (no pun intended) was that it seemed a bit pricey for what we got, even by London standards.
We arrived here and all but our table was full so we were pleased we’d booked. Our order was taken fairly quickly and we expected a wait for the food because it was busy. Over an hour passed, everyone else had been served and new customers being seated and we still hadn’t even received the starter. When the food turned up it was quite nice, but by no means the best thai I have had and really wasn’t good enough to make up for the time we had to wait for it (by this time almost 1h20).
Our bill included a service charge in the total. The lead waitress offered us a discount on our order, however left the service charge on - the value of the discount wasn’t even the amount of the service charge so basically she handed us a bill that still included the full cost of the meal but with a smaller tip. Crazy paying a tip when they forgot us, but at that point we’d both lost our patience after a long day and just went home. Certainly wouldn’t be back.
We made a booking way ahead - arrived at the restaurant and they did not have the booking. Then the staff was absolutely unfriendly and not professional at all - wanted to seat us downstairs next to the toilette.. what a mess!!!
The ambience was great and is what attracted me but the staff was not friendly and there was not much Thai taste to it and no sauces on the table to spice it up a bit. I thought it very bland. I had excellent Thai food at a little pub in Hammersmith called The Jameson. Much less expensive and far better taste. My daughter in law is Thai and she has introduced me to many great dishes but I don’t believe this measures up to anything I have had so far
Looking for a quick, light bite to eat and found this cozy little restaurant. Great food and service!
Compared to previous occasions the standards had dropped substantially. The first thing we noticed was that the restaurant was half empty. Service was sluggish and the food insipid. All this in contrast to our previous experience.
We went there twice during our recent stay in London, once for lunch and once in the evening, and both times we had the best Thai meal we have had for years - definitely on our list for next time.
The food was lovely which fitted in with most of the previous reviews on this place
Slightly expensive but then you are in the capital and I’ve paid a lot more for a lot worse
Only gripe was house wine was a relatively low grade but I suppose at £5.75 a glass only to be expected
Would I visit this restaurant again, most definitely and will do the next time I’m up that way, all in all a great find
As a regular traveller to Thailand, I can say that this was probably the best Thai meal I’ve in England. The flavours were fantastic, the portion size just right, and not bad value for London. Looking forward to returning.
Adequate, but nothing special. I'd eat there again and recommend to folks in the neighborhood, but I would not tout it as London's best option for Thai.
