That Meetball Place
Our idea began years ago when we realized the simplicity of the meatball and how it is a comfort food to many. We all grew up with our Grandmothers making Sunday dinner and "The Meatball" being the focal point of the day. We cherish those days of coming together with our families and the memories we created. Our goal here at "That Meetball Place" is to create an atmosphere for friends and families to gather together and enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed environment with a great vibe and simple food like grandma used to make. Our chef has taken fresh ingredients and developed meatballs, salads & sides to satisfy everyone in your family. We are excited for you to join us on this journey and please make us your "Place to meet and have a ball!"
Great food & great atmosphere! The service was good! Food was delicious
Marco the waiter was fantastic. The manager came around, so nice. The food was amazing!!! My new favorite place
Aside from the delicious meal, the staff is excellent. Both wait staff and gen manager helped us with a food allergy. Very professional and very caring. Impressed by everything at this restaurant.
We went for Valentine’s Day. Food was delicious, the waitress was great, and overall we had a really great experience!
Love this place
Service was excellent Food was great Nice evening out
Great food and service. Will def be back
Difficult if you wear hearing aids but very nice place
We enjoyed this place for a pre-theatre dinner and happy hour prime! Our waitress Cat was tremendous -funny and helpful with suggestions! Good selection of beers and cocktails. Bourbon shrimp and chili meatball nachos were great Appetizers. Steakhouse, Mediterranean and spicy italian main entrees were all plentiful and enjoyable! The GM made the rounds and chatted and ensured that all was in good order!
Good overall value for your money. Friendly enjoyable staff with lots of "balls" jokes to go around!
My second time , my guests first time , at the meatball place I must say better than last time. Great service outstanding food, awesome drinks) happy hour,) Dan our server was very helpful. We are looking forward to eating there again , next time we go to a concert at Patchogue Theatre, which we saw the 60’s show ( which was phenomenal ). got 10% off our dinner
We went before a show at the Patchogue Theater. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server. Drinks and food arrived in a timely manner. The food was average and left all of us parched for the entire evening.
A nice touch was that a couple (I presume the owners) walked around making sure things were running smoothly. The woman actually came over to our table to see how things were. Very nice and much appreciated.
As always, great food!!
Great place for big group. Table alittle tight for all 12. Drink specials were only at the bar and not at the table. Therefore our bill was kind of large... had we known that then maybe we would have got our drinks from the bar. Big pretzel was yummy. The desserts were yummy! The chicken fingers and fries for the kids were greasy or over cooked. Overall good ambience for the group but wish our bill wasn't so high. And note to server: Never take orders from the kids at the table. Server should always check with an adult on what they asked for that was in addition to what I ordered for them. In this case, they wound up ordering other things and not really watching the price or if they would even like it.
Our waitress was fantastic, especially on a busy New Year's eve! However, the manager could not have been more bothered by our business. When she asked about our meal, we mentioned that we were waiting for drinks, but assumed the server was just very busy. She huffed off and came back seemingly annoyed to take our order. When it was getting time to leave, we could barely get our kids together before she started clearing the table - including two drinks which were still not finished (my husband and friend stepped away to use the restroom). A little patience would have been appreciated.
What a pleasant surprise. From reading the previous reviews we weren’t quite sure what to expect. We ate at The Meetball Place on New Year’s Eve. Making a reservation on Open Table was easy. When we arrived the restaurant was fairly empty but filled up quickly. The service was exceptional and the food was even better. We loved having the carafe of water on the table, which was filled often. We enjoyed the Ballchos (which we customized without any issues) and Cheesy Garlic Bread for appetizers and had two build your own balls over pasta, the Chicken Parm Subwich and Eggplant Parm Skillet – the portion sizes were perfect and each item was enjoyed by the eater. The pricing was fair; we weren’t rushed even though the crowd of people waiting started to grow. The servers and manager were polite, checked on us often and made sure we felt welcomed. We will definitely be back.
Meeting up with new people that I haven’t met. The music was a little loud to get to know people.
That Meetball Place is the friendliest, tastiest place In Patchogue :-)
I take my daughter there and we always have a wonderful experience. I go back on Tuesday nights for bingo fun and music with the lovely and talented Julie.
The manager, Mari, can be found at any given time greeting guests, Xmas decorating, moving tables or otherwise turning frowns upside down - she is the hardest working woman in show business lol
Wait staff and bartenders are super-friendly - this place always feels like home and never disappoints.
Loving the Butternut Squash soup and those Steakhouse meatballs!
Live music with Fred on Wednesday nights-human iPod - a must see
The zucchini noodkes and mediteranian chicken meatballs wuth tzatziki sauce was delicious.
Service is great however food is not remarkable enough to return.
So great! You get a ton of food for your money and the staff was so nice!
Everything was great except for the singer. He was horrible.
Great first time experience!! Loved the food. Service not so much. We had a server named Jeremy, barely came by wanted more water and order a glasses of wine but he was no where to be found we just ate our food and by the time he showed no need for wine, we left. Maybe less tables? Or attitude change, seemed like he could care less.
Meatballs were dried out and appear to have been deep fried.
We enjoyed ourselves a little
Loud but food was delicious
Waiter was super attentive.
I’ve been here many times but this time the food was so so. I ordered the classic meatballs with pasta and the meatballs were so garlicky that I couldn’t eat them. I asked the waiter maybe they gave me the wrong ones but he said it looks like the right ones. My daughter had the same ones and they looked and tasted entirely different. Maybe just a mix up. Normally the food is very good.
We had another great meal at the Meetball place. It was a quiet Wednesday night but our waitress was awesome and we loved the new CBD cocktails. Food came out hot and accurate. We will definitely be back.
Amazing! Beautiful day with great drinks and Sunday funday!
Half of party got sick that nite from food. Tables on top of one another in a loud space
Food is good. Service was ok. We will be back
Great night got and food. Bingo made it fun!!
The happy hour is a fantastic deal. We also enjoyed the way that Patchogue is being renovated and we walked around the area, went to a show at the theatre across the street. The lobster risotto ball was so delicious. I could eat those all day. The service was perfect. The atmosphere was busy and noisy, we lived it. We liked the eggplant pesto ball..such a different idea, love it.
Great food And service
The lobster risotto ball was amazing
A lot of families with young children, which increased the noise level. Would only recommend to families with children
Great place to go on a date. My husband and I had “date” night and decided to check this place out. We’d heard positive reviews from other people, and now join the ranks of other satisfied customers.
We arrived early on a Friday night and got a table immediately. We were seated all the way in the back, so it was quiet enough for us to enjoy our conversation. The music was particularly good- all popular songs from the 80’s.
Apparently, since we got there on a Friday night during happy hour on Labor Day weekend, we were given raffle tickets for a $250 cash prize drawing. We didn’t win, but that was a fun little idea for us to look forward to during dinner.
The drink menu was illuminated- which was so cool. All restaurants should have this. Especially when you’re in a dimly lit restaurant or for people with vision issues.
We ordered 2 sampler platters- choosing 6 different types of meatballs on the menu, plus an order of (ginormously huge) tater tots. Each item came with an accompanying dipping sauce.
Everything was delicious. I would suggest that for those picky eaters, that the server point out which type of meatball and sauce were which. For us, it was fun figuring it out for ourselves, but maybe little toothpick signs would be helpful.
Great place. We’ll definitely be back.
Awesome meal! Zucchini noodles with eggplant balls and pesto were absolutely delicious
The food tasted better than I had expected. I can’t wait to come back and try everything else that looked good to me!
Love this place, food is always delish!
Our waitress Nicole was wonderful! Great food as always and service! Came for bingo night and had a blast
We always enjoy coming to That Meetball Place! Plentiful vegetarian options, and lots of sizable options too if you don't want to have an enormous plate of food. Will most definitely come back.
