poor menu -unexciting , fish not fantastic. indifferent service..Neither a good pub nor restaurant.Nice garden space in summer.
Great girlie lunch here. If it's a sunny weekend in London, you can't go wrong with this place. One of the best beer garden's in North London.
Really attentive and friendly service in what was a very busy lunch sitting, so well done to them. Food really good. Highly recommended.
Excellent evening with friends and family! The rooms are very nice, and the waiting staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend the asparagus starter, the gnocchi and the haddock fish and chips! Slight minus, you cannot book online for more than 8 people, and getting the pub on the phone is not easy.
Wonderfully pretty pub garden with very friendly accomodating staff. Pleasantly busy on a nice mid-week evening. Asked for table in the garden when booking and got the best table!
Nice pub to go for dinner. Wine by the glass a bit overpriced but decent food.
Traditional pub, great service and menu. Accommodating for special requests
After losing its way for a while, the Albion seems to have found its mojo again. We were recently here for a wintery weekday lunch.
The front bar was busy; the ambience was good, with fires burning at both ends.
Our service was prompt, and our food excellent.
Such a disappointing experience of service. They told us to wait for our table in the garden and then forgot about us. They were seating people who were due to seated way after us. The experience was a total shambles
We were really looking forward to our meal at The Albion having fond memories of it in the past. The food and ambience were as good as we hoped.
Unfortunately we were left disappointed in the lack of service - we had to ask for pretty much everything.
This is a beautiful pub and the nice were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately there were some quality issues with the beer and the food. We went on a Sunday evening and it appeared that they had run out of the better qualify food and drink by this point. For example, the wine we wanted was not available, and the meat for the roasts was fairy sub-standard and dry. However I will say that when we commented on this, management were very apologetic and we were provided with a suitable discount.
Arguably the prettiest pub in London and matched by lovely food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Had a delightful cosy Saturday evening.
As I sit here trying to pay my bill and try to catch someones attention to explain the amount on it is not right, to be shown the palm of the hand and brusk and off hand nature from the Maitre D (not the waiting staff) that it all became clear why The Albion is not my go to local restaurant. Yet again it’s the ambience and attitude from the front of house that is cold bordering on chilling. You can’t fault the food even though the creme anglaise had split looked like cottage cheese but tasted like egg custard tart, I forgot how much I liked egg custard!
Lovely food, was perfect sunny day in the beautiful garden. Scotch eggs were excellent!
Great place, great food
Sunday lunch was fair, but needed to be served hotter.,the beef was good but the Yorkshire puddings were stone cold and rubbery. Roasties also luke warm.
Sunday roast was good not spectacular. Yorkshire pudding was burnt. Food was good.
Great kids menu and set up. Delicious Sunday roast.
If I was under 30, slightly posh I think I would of liked this place a little more. Food’s good, waiting staff were brilliant, nice building, restaurant part was great as well.
great also with my friend's dog! all the stuff were super friendly!!!
Food was great!
Gorgeous food. Genuine service and hospitality. Dog friendly 👍🏼
We had Sunday lunch in the lovely outdoor area at the back of the pub. The food was really good and considering they were so busy, fairly prompt. We were kept waiting a little while for our table and the service at the bar was slow but the pub has a lovely atmosphere and I would recommend it to friends.
I came to The Albion on Sunday with my partner and a group of friends for a Sunday roast. We ordered the Rib of beef for two. It was absolutely delicious even when I had to have it medium-well (I am pregnant)
The vibe was great and we really enjoyed our meals and they enjoyed their Provence rose.
The only thing I would improve on would be the service from when we sat down to getting our food was just over 45mins due to no one being around. I understand the beef may take a bit longer but nobody told us nor was around to let us know.
Great place all in all though and we will be back for sure! Highly reccommend!
Really expensive for a roast. For just two people, our bill came to £50 for two roasts. They played 70s music which was weird. Other than that, the place was nice. Considering bringing a group back here.
Lovely as always! Been to the Albion both for big birthday meals and date nights and it never fails to deliver - Sunday roast is hands down one of the best in London
Been many times. Always great food and vibe. Gorgeous pub and beer garden. Service is consistently terrible :(
A lovely homely restaurant/ bar with great food and service.
We had a great time at the Albion. Service was friendly and funny. The food was outstanding and portions were generous. Only draw back was, that we were seated next to the music speaker, so it was a bit difficult to understand each other.
Great place and fab outdoor pub garden. However a lot of the food options had run out and the menu wasn’t particularly seasonal - offering mainly roasts on a very hot summer’s day.
A neighbourhood pub with a lovely country feel and quite a large beer garden out back to enjoy in the warmer months.
Everything was lovely apart from all the beers and ciders being flat and cold
Always worth a visit, fantastic fiod, great Sunday roast.
Excellent as always
Poor service and moody staff! Food ok and wine ok but won’t come back!
I like the Albion. The food is consistently good. The ambience consistently good. The outdoor dining is consistently good. And the service, for years now, is consistently poor.
The staff do not try hard and can be abrupt and there can be long waits for drinks or attention from staff.
When I arrived and tried to ask for the table I had reserved I was impatiently referred to the "host" without being told where I would find her. I tried to catch a waitress' eye in order to ask for drinks and she shrugged me off as though I was someone she did not have time for. When we were eating our mains we were asked how the food was with the impression that they did not care what the answer was. No one offered us the dessert menu after dinner. I felt like an inconvenience rather than a welcome guest.
If the Albion were to get this right it would truly be a special place. I suspect it's so popular that they do not feel they have to.
Delicious! I keep coming back again and again - my favourite Sunday Roast in London! Only annoying thing is that any time we wanted to be served we had to call someone over rather than being checked on.
Took visiting family there for Sunday roast - was delicious and enjoyed by everyone from 1 to 50+. Patio is delightful on a sunny day.
Lovely to sit in the garden in such warm weather , staff are so friendly and accommodating .
The Albion has such a beautiful hidden garden, so get a table outside. We chose a weekday night to avoid crowds. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food good. It is relaxed, peaceful and great for conversation and good meal. Highly recommend.
lovely place and garden with friendly staff but overall food was very disappointing ..£18 for a shared charcuterie board which could have been far more attractive and generous for that price..not much meat and what was there looked rather tired and definitely not worth that cost! Didn't feel the love in the food at all! shame
Excellent garden for warm days - a great relaxed dining/drinking atmosphere
