Lovely, Halloween afternoon tea. Food was delicious and the service was excellent
Lovely food as always and we had a great time. We sat in the main area this time which was better
Great service good food and a warm welcome from staff.
Second time having an afternoon tea with you. Very quiet in house, but appreciate breakfast was just wrapping up.
Service was excellent, waiting staff, friendly, cheerful and quick to deal with requests. Extra sandwiches much appreciated!
My only slight criticism(s) is that The cheese scones were under baked (still doughy in the centre) and the sweet treats ie- macarons, devils food cake whilst looking fab we’re devoid of flavour - the we’re just very ‘sweet’ it is a shame you didn’t flavour them.
Lovely family friendly atmosphere with exceptional food and brilliant service
It was lovely to have yet another Halloween menu. Like last year but I’m sure last year there was some Halloween decorations up. Which I thought it was missing this time. It might be because of COVID 19 but I like it when the room is decorated too.
Lovely themed Afternoon Tea. Looked great and tasted just as good.
Booked afternoon tea for our anniversary, as per their website, but ended up with a Halloween tea which we wouldn’t have booked. We decided against other places as we didn’t want that for our anniversary
We came for our first ever visit and had a lovely experience and would recommend thoroughly. We look forward to coming back again soon.
We had an amazing time at the Assembley House, the service was amazing and the food was lovely. We had a great time
Fantastic service from all of our servers, we were made to feel very welcome and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended.
Amazing from start to finish. The quality of the food was exquisite and service was on point. Highly recommend!
I came here for afternoon tea. My first eat in experience At the Assembly House since Covid and I was impressed. Less tables so there was more distance between each group of diners.
It felt very relaxed with clear signs for when to wear masks and hand sanitizer provided.
The Halloween themes afternoon tea didn’t disappoint. Service was exceptional as always and the food was sublime.
For those not wanting to dine in I have done take away afternoon tee several times since lockdown and it is a perfect alternative.
Perfect breakfast for that special occasion. The place was beautiful and the staff were very polite and attentive. All current guidelines followed. Perfect setting.
We had a lovely breakfast overall. The only thing was my husbands cooked breakfast could of been warmer.
Excellent food, lovely setting and great service. We all had a lovely time.
Spooky afternoon tea was Just amazing. We loved it so much! We both had the vegan option and it was fantastic. The sandwiches were top notch the bread was really fresh and yummy. The scones came warm when you were ready. Staff were really friendly and helpful and we got offered extra sandwiches! If we had to nit pick neither of us liked the red layer cake as it was dry but we really can’t complain as we were blown away by everything else.
Booked afternoon tea For late afternoon on Saturday. Requested a high chair on the booking, also called ahead to double check they got that we need a high chair. No high chair at table on arrival. Man seating us asked if we needed a high chair which I said yes then he walked Away and didn’t actually get us a high chair. My husband went and found one leaving me at the table holding a wriggly hot toddler. After that though the service was good and the whole experience was lovely. Worth £95 for 2 adults and a child with a bottle of Prosecco? Maybe a bit pricey. They add 10% service to bill which is fair
Amazing food. The best afternoon tea.All staff were friendly and helpful. Will be back again
Stunning afternoon tea. Helpful polite service in such beautiful surroundings
The food was exceptional. The service however could have been improved. We had three young children with us and we had to wait 25minutes before anyone came to ask us for a drink?
The drinks came and they were incorrect, and the. Not in the best glass for children as one of course was spilled within about 10minutes. Then the 2nd drinks order came after the food was served and it was incorrect again? Great food, service needs improvement and thoughtfulness towards younger children.
Excellent service and quality food for the price.
I love coming back to the assembly house, staff is very professional and friendly and the food is delicious. Can’t wait to come back to another high tea.
Considering the problems with Covid very impressed with safety felt very comfortable Staff were excellent nothing to much trouble would highly recommend and visit again
We have been to the Assembly house before the room we were in was just a room nothing to shout about staff were friendly
the afternoon tea in general lacked the piazza I would normally expect 😔
Gorgeous afternoon tea as usual. Love coming here
Friendly service, although a little slow, but it was busy! Overall, very enjoyable and all inclusive menu a cracking deal
Best afternoon tea! The Building is gorgeous, the service is great, the tea is amazing and the food is delicious. I have allergies so I get the vegan afternoon tea which I always perfect. The themes are so cute. Highly highly recommend!
Excellent service from everyone and a delicious afternoon tea. We couldn’t eat it all so took cakes home to enjoy later. A lovely touch was the brownies we were given when they knew we were celebrating our anniversary.
A very beautiful and peaceful place in the midst of a bustling and vibrant City.
Amazing afternoon tea, really talented and creative with the homemade cakes. Always look forward to see what the next festive afternoon tea is. Definitely worth the money, never have a bad one!
All staff are friendly and make you feel welcome.
Food was excellent, when my platter first came out I didn’t think there was much food on it...... I was absolutely stuffed by the time we had finish and there was still food left which we were allowed to take away with us. Would highly recommend
A lovely experience of afternoon tea. Not cheap but a lovely treat
A real treat, such a good range of teas and food. The theme was enchanted woodland and so much thought goes into the designs of the sweet treats. Excellent service as well.
A lovely afternoon tea in pleasant and convenient surroundings
Disappointed that a roll my mother-in-law ate had a half inch chicken bone in it! I was told by the waitress it was being 'looked into' & never heard anymore. Could of been dangerous for her as she's elderly. It was a birthday celebration too, spoilt by this incident.
Amazing food and gorgeous atmosphere. The service is incredible, the staff never miss a trick and are always tentative!
Lovely Sunday lunch. Thank you. Always enjoy eating at the Assembly House.
Made us feel very special and as it was mums birthday she got extra cake! Thanks a great lunch
Fantastic food and service. Staff made it very special. Highly recommend
