Had a great meal. Staff very attentive and the value is good. I only marked 3 for ambience but this seems an unfair question and score as no idea how it would be under normal non Covid conditions.

The cheese scone was quite peppery. The white bread was a little on the stale/ hard side.

Lovely festive afternoon tea, friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere.

As ever the whole experience was wonderful. Rod is so cheery and welcoming, as are all the staff. Full English, Vegetarian Full English and Eggs with smoked salmon all absolutely delicious...Eggs fried in butter are scrummy.
It is also very nice to eat somewhere where the noise level is quiet, we could hear our conversation, and it was very relaxing.

Beautiful Christmas Eve breakfast, food was delicious, service was fantastic, Christmas trees were magical along with the lovely Christmas music.

My expectations were high ...but the menu choice is extremely limited...the venue is spectacular

We ate two courses for £20 which was excellent value and the food was delicious. My wine was perfect too. We really enjoyed our meal, it felt very special.

Beautiful place to visit. Sandwich selection very basic. Delicious cake selection. It was odd being given cheese scones with clotted cream and jam. Needless to say we left them.

Afternoon tea was gorgous.Flavours and presentation was lovely.Food was on same standards as a London hotel.Would recomend to anyone.

I didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised.Very nice sandwiches and lovely cakes nice surroundings staff very friendly.Didn’t have to wait too long for anything.A nice experience i would visit again and also recommend a friend

Food disappointing. Both main meals were dry. Desserts far better than main meal.

Didn't think cakes were that special, as had better at , other venues for a lot less money.

Wonderful place to go for a meal particularly prior to the theatre. Would have been nice to have the hum of Christmas musics in the background especially as it was not so noisy due to social distancing. Food was excellent couldn’t fault it. Friendly staff too

Excellent food and quiet, efficient service. Rather lacking in atmosphere as not many other customers when we were there.

Very un festive, the entrance hall needs some Christmas music to greet you, it was deathly, quite miserable, so quiet.. restauramt not much better, no background music. Am hoping our visit on Boxing Day will be much more cheery.

Liked the fixed price menu, 2 courses £20 ,3 for £25. Limited choice but seasonal and varied to suit most tastes. Attentive and friendly staff with prompt service. Food well presented and portion size just right. Felt Covid safe. We redeemed a £50 voucher which had been a anniversary present so can safely say it was a lovely gift xxx

Once again,we had a delightful afternoon tea.Food was delicious,and the staff were attentive,and charming.We have been several times,and will come again often in the future.It is always a treat.

I got a parking ticket for £100 even thought I paid for parking but apparently some space for residents even though we were at the assembly not very happy at all will not attend again

Over the years I've been here many times, not sure I'll be back though, the service we received was very poor, waited ages for our orders to be taken, even though the server was standing around, had to ask several times for more drinks, and remind her, was told the warm savories were an extra charge and that it had always been like that, when I said I'd never had that before, she made me feel extremely uncomfortable and marched off.
Not once did she ask if everything was alright, even though she seemed to ask other tables around us. She also wasn't impressed when I asked her to remove the gratuity.
