Terrible dinner roast was overcooked when i told the manager that the beef was overdone he said we knew that but served it anyway.terrible 1 star.i mean just look at that yorkshire looks like the chef s**t on the plate and no gravy
Had Christmas Dinner here, it was just very average which was a little disappointing as the reviews suggested otherwise.
We had a fantastic Christmas dinner, which was well presented and on time. We are definitely considering booking again next Christmas and bringing along the rest of our family!
We had Cristmas Day Lunch there with a family party of 6. Could not fault the wonderful
Treatment we got which was a busy day for them but always whenever we go there Andrew
And his team treat us very well. The Food was so good as is always when we go there, even the
Bar Menu has a great chose of food. Highly recommend it to friends which they went after Christmas
And had a wonderful meal.
Just amazing. It was a birthday meal. Very romantic. The food was spectacular.
Fantastic food, excellent service, friendly staff. Refurbished to a high standard since our last visit. Fresh, light and airy. At last a wine list that included NZ wine. Such a pity we were the only people in there on a Friday lunch time, but it was just before Xmas. Well worth the drive down country lanes.
A very pleasant experience at The Bakery. Easy to park. We received a warm welcome and attentive service throughout. Although a set (pre-Christmas) menu, The food was excellent.
Lovely helpful waiting staff
Very good value for money
Delicious food. Great staff. Have been here several times, including for New Year, a wedding reception, anniversaries and birthday. Has never been disapointing.
food ok , service between courses a bit rushed as they had a large party.
First course a bit over cooked prawns.
Having moved from London to Tatsfield the Bakery has been an unexpected and wonderful find. We only moved three weeks ago and gave already dined there three times
A lovely evening. We were two friends catching up so wanted a natter and a good meal. Seating is extremely comfortable - some of the best I've encountered. Food is delicious and a good choice. Service was a little bit slow on occasion which was annoying; I don't mean how long the food took to come as I take that as a plus that the dishes are being cooked to order but actually getting the waiters to notice us when we wanted to order another drink etc - especially as despite being a Saturday evening it was rather quiet. The only slight downside was a couple of young children on a nearby table who were a bit loud which begs the question what the heck are children doing in a nice restaurant late on a Saturday evening.... However, that's not the restaurant's fault.
Enjoyable food, not an extensive menu but something for everyone and has specials.
As we live in the village this is our go to place for special occasions, special deals on Wednesdays, taking family members visiting from abroad etc., the staff are always friendly and professional. The feeling in this restaurant is always good and the food reliably excellent.
the bakery is a great local restaurant. a good choice of wines, both by the bottle and by the glass. good menu, always with little tweaks and the odd special. wonderful bread!!!! well worth the visit.
The choice for each course was good. The food and service were very good. The only criticism is that , perhaps as starters, some tended to be large enough to be considered as a main course for those with smaller appetites.
Celebrated out Wedding Anniversary with a lunch here mid week. Great service from staff and the food was exceptional. The owner also took the time to show us around - great lunch and thoroughly recommended
Excellent food , ambience and friendly service . Would definitely recommend for special occasion for couples.
Both the food and the service was exceptional. My friends and I had a perfect evening at the Bakery and I cant recommend the restaurant enough.
A very enjoyable meal - too expensive for regular dining, but OK for occasional treats
Friendly staff, tasty Sunday lunch options for good value fixed price.
Food was very tasty and generous portions but felt we were a little rushed to order not usually like this
Very friendly staff and wonderful food (even my really fussy friend was impressed).
Numerous good choices on menu for all three courses. Excellent food and wine choices in relaxed surroundings. A special place for dining with friends.
The menu is varied and interesting catering for most tastes; the food was very good and well cooked; service was prompt all requests were executed without hesitation; the atmosphere was friendly and we were made to feel welcome.
The Bakery has undergone a very subtle revamp and I have to say it looks fabulous! They've also got an amazing and varied new menu! It's officially now our favourite place! The staff are wonderful and the ambience second to none!
This is my first visit to the bakery & I was not disappointed. Good value food & wine / friendly staff too. If I was going to give a negative 👎🏼 it would only be the roast potatoes! Needed to be mor crisper & brown. Overall experience 8/10 !!! Well happy 😊
the bakery is a great find. the menu is not large but it changes regularly and there are nice little twists to the various dishes. one of the nicest restaurants in the area. the staff are helpful and friendly. my only negative is that it lacks atmosphere and is abit bland in decor.
We visit this restaurant from time to time and we have never had a bad meal yet. This was the first time that we had been since the restaurant area had been refurbished. The food and the choice was very good indeed.
The Bakery has recently had a very subtle and classy makeover! It looks fabulous! The best bit is the menu which has also been updated! The selection is amazing and I highly recommend the seared scallops starter and Portuguese skewer main! The chicken just melts in your mouth! If you haven’t been for a while visit you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommended!
Hadn’t been in a while but IMO its the best place for Sunday lunch in the area by some distance.
Five years on from our first visit the bakery is still serving good food with good service.
Used to come here with my family as a child and came back for my Mums birthday. Even better than I remember, great Sunday lunch and wonderful service. Will definitely be returning.
We went for Easter Lunch with the family. We did have a nice lunch, but it felt a bit rushed, with being pressured to order our meal in the bar, even though we'd arrived well before the booked table time of 1.45. Some of the food was very good, and up to the standard we expect ( e.g. the starters) but we were a bit disappointed with the main courses, e.g the fish had a very strong pesto sauce and the lamb was not as tender as usual. However we really like the Bakery and expect this was just a blip due to it being a busy weekend.
We were recommended The Bakery by several friends and happily not disappointed. Opted for lunch so not too busy but lovely and quiet to celebrate our anniversary
This was an ideal place for friends from London and Kent to meet up. We had a nice, big, round table which made it easy to talk and we really enjoyed our choices of starters and main course.
Haven’t been here for a while which I now regret as we had a cracking Sunday lunch. It was Mother’s Day and as you’d expect, it was busy but, the atmosphere was great. Three of us and three courses each plus a bottle of Prosecco along with pre dinner drinks and bread. All lovely, plentiful and filling and all in for £125. This in my opinion is good value for money. Thank you Andrew and the team... see you soon.
Old favourite now with new décor. Same excellent service and quality of menu. Décor gives the restaurant a cosier ambience. Reccommended
First time at The Bakery on a quiet Thursday for a birthday lunch. Lovely broad menu of European classics-with-a-twist, unobtrusive service, and surprisingly low bill. Will definitely return soon!
the bakery is tucked away in tatsfield and offers very good food. although the menu isn't large, there is a nice choice, although as a fish eater, there isn't quite so much of a choice in the mains. interesting starters, with just a slight twist. service is friendly and efficient. good choice of wines and bubbles by the glass. always good.
