The Bakery staff are courteous, friendly and always professional. We were very impressed with the added safety measures in place for COVID-19. All staff and other customers were at a safe distance without changing the wonderful ambiance and atmosphere that we are used to at the Bakery. The food was delicious and we especially liked the crab lasagna starter and hake main course. We highly recommend The Bakery. Thank you to Andrew and his wonderful staff x

Lovely evening and good food - would have liked to be offered some water and the choux bun for dessert was too big to be attractive. The main courses and starters , however , were excellent and full of flavour.

We went there for Valentines evening meal, nice setting, clean and tidy. Service was good, food was also very nice, paid extra for the Steak on the fixes menu but it was worth it. Be nice if this came with green beans although chips and a to tomato were included. Would have like some music maybe in the background, as the restaurant is open plan and nearly full it was quite noisy at times. It was very nice of them at the end for my wife to be given a rose. We will return.

Great food and very attentive service. Felt as though it lacked a restaurant ambience, a little more like a upmarket cafe

Surprisingly quiet for a pre Christmas lunch, only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant area so we got outstanding service. The starter, Goats cheese and walnut salad, and the dessert, meringue with fruits, were both excellent as was the warm bread. Although the turkey main was good the presentation of the vegetables was a bit strange! Peas, beans and broccoli were served in a large bowl together with a purée of carrot and (?) celeriac and although this tasted nice it did tend to coat the other vegetables which was rather off putting! No Brussels sprouts or roast parsnip was a bit of a disappointment but overall a nice lunch with friends at a leisurely pace with no pressure for us to leave.

the bakery maintains a good standard. the staff are pleasant and helpful. little details are remembered from a previous visit and acted upon. VERY nice. a nice menu and a reasonable wine list. tend to have the same wines so can't truly comment. definately worth a visit. nice and spacious, with the tables well placed. some round tables which is great for six/eight.

Very nice evening.
Unfortunately we were the only table in the restaurant occupied.
The weather was awful so could have kept others away.

There was only one other table occupied during our Sunday lunchtime visit. It was 2.30, and it became apparent that we were the last customers at that sitting.
Whilst the food was good, and piping hot, it was nothing outstanding. The ambiance was poor. We were served two courses within 40 minutes, and felt quite rushed. It would have been great if we were dashing back to work, but not for a leisurely Sunday lunch. In hindsight we would have booked earlier had we known.
It was a gift to us, but we would be in no rush to go back

I live in Tatsfield the village where the bakery is we go and eat or have a drink there at least a couple of times a month unfortunately on this evening they was only one chef on so the food was limited and unfortunately the food I received that evening was overcooked however we have been on many occasions and the food has always been lovely

We had a superb meal on Sunday for a family birthday. Our waiter was great, friendly and attentive. I'd ordered a birthday cake which was fab and a great way to finish our lovely meal. Thankyou all so much and we will definitely return soon.

Their website is falsely advertising special offers for Tues-thurs, when I asked for this I was made to feel like I was making it up even though I showed them in black and white, waiter was very rude

Service and food were good. However there was only one waiter trying to serve all the tables in the restaurant, he worked extremely hard. We dined on the hottest night of the year so far but had a lovely evening.

the bakery is a local restaurant to us and is such a good find. the menu is nice, the odd unusual dish, and potions are good. a nice choice of wines, and they do a nice calipso coffee. well worth a visit.

the bakery is consistently good. it is a nice menu that changes regularly, but always with some favourites. with specials there is plenty of choice. we took four friends who had not been there before and they were all very happy with the food. nice wine list, and a good liquer coffee. worth a visit. love the bread!!!

The food was well presented and of a time, no issue with that but at these prices the small touches matter. Burnt taste to bacon that accompanied scallops, pea purée was tasteless so nicely cooked scallops had no friends on plate. Veg accompanied main course but very salty. My steak was not medium rare and the mushroom was soggy so it was fine but more like a pub dish than finer dining. Nice wine menu but overall disappointing 110 meal for two.
