The Barton Arms
Food was lovely and the service was good. Staff were very attentive
We've used the Barton Arms on many occasions before or after Aston Villa games. As always we thoroughly enjoyed the food, beer and atmosphere in the unique surroundings.
Food excellent as usual, and very speedily organised despite being a busy match evening.
The Barton’s Arms is a beautiful old-fashioned bar with stained glass and tiled walls. The dining room is a Thai restaurant with fantastic, fresh and tasty food. We were there before an Aston Villa home match and the place was mobbed yet service was slick and friendly.
Great food and service. Loved every course we had. Will definitely be returning and would recommend it to anyone
I did enjoy the meal, we both ordered from the £10 menu, when the starters came out they was lovely. Then the main meal came out, I’m not lying there was a very small amount of pork, mainly covered in loads of peppers. The taste wasn’t up to the usual standard, very bland . I am disappointed, but I am willing to try again.
Excellent food one of th best Thai restaurants I’ve been too
Highly Recommended. Great food ai a stunning setting. If you've never been its a must!
Very poor - nothing like it used to be. Service was slow and food very average at best.
The Barton Arms is a lovely Edwardian Pub that does tasty Thai food. The pub has hanging lights which reflect on the tiled walls which are set off by dark wood. The bar still has its snob screen and serves good quality ale. Have been quite a few times now and will be going back.
Excellent meal in magnificent surroundings. We will be returning
£10 Tuesday is a greart promotion. Plenty of good food to choose from. Friendly service. Tasty food arrived quickly. We'll be back.
Great quality food, very tasty and offers exceptional value for money on Tuesday evenings. We also go on Sundays for lunch which we enjoy too. Plus the pub has social historical importance and retains original tiles and decor. The Laurel and Hardy connection always make us smile. Plus has excellent real ale.
Wonderful food and a great choice on the menu. Was very quiet in the restaurant so service was very prompt. It’s a shame there weren’t more customers given the quality of the food.
We went for my birthday and it was just great. The food came a lot quicker than expected and was soooo tasty. The interior was lovely and was an all round good night.
Absolutely amazing food, been meaning to try here for ages and it didn’t disappoint. The beer is great too, a real hidden gem
Great experience lovely food as always. Would definitely go again
Excellent food and service, always made to feel welcome.
My partners meal looked very appetizing but my vegetarian meal was very bland. It did say it was tofu and pak choi but that's all it was I expected it to have some extra vegetables in to give it flavour and colour. Think I made the wrong choice on the day.
Delicious food, excellent service, will definitely return with more friends
As always, the service is great and the food is delicious.
Love this place! Took friends who had never been before & I haven't been for a few years either. Lovely lady serving our table was really helpful, service was in good time & Cant fault the surroundings. I would have given 5 stars if the chicken wings starter were not so dry & hard. Main dishes were just gorgeous! we were all really happy with the portions, quality, price was agreed to be a little on the top heavy side but they have Tuesday night's which is £10 for 2 courses (limited menu), probably try this too! Already planning to go back. Highly recommend. There is a small car park too.
Excellent place to eat and relax nice atmosphere friendly service
First time here this week and will definitely go back. Me and my friends were really impressed with the service and the food was lovely.
It was nice Togo there but food seemed over cooked
Best sunday roast ever and lovely atmosphere. We'll be back.
A peace of Birmingham treasure. The staircase is worth a visit alone. If any tourists are reading this you have to go otherwise your missing out. The food is excellent too, don’t miss it!
Lovely food but not great value
7 of us only had starters and main course = £21 each
Excellent food and service. Tuesday offer good value. Beer a bit pricey.
Lovely work lunch thank you! I definitely Recommend food was delicious 😋
Food and service absolutely amazing , it’s worth a visit not only for the food but to admire the building itself and the interior decor especially the stained glass window
We have been regulars at The Barton Arms for over a decade and the standard of food, service and general ambiance has always been exceptional. One of our party wanted her main course to be very light on the spice and it arrived exactly as she would want, excellent considering it was a very busy Saturday night, And a great range of beers as always.
Great food. Really good experience. Staff friendly and efficient. Definitely going back
This is ridiculously good value on a Tuesday. The food was great with vegan and vegetarian options.
And the pub itself is stunning!
Disappointed with the visit. The food lacked something..rice dry. Chicken not what we expected.
Was a bit concerned by the general area but the car park seemed secure enough. The food is absolutely amazing. Best thai ive ever had. The outside doesnt do the place any justice. The service was excellent and I have already recommended to local friends. I will certainly be coming back .
Absolute gem of a place staff were lovely, food and ambience was excellent!!
Had a lovely lunch. I love Thai food it was presented beautifully and tasted great. Staff were friendly. Fabulous old ornate pub.
A very enjoyable evening, great food and surroundings. Efficient service. The interior of the building is a treat for anyone who hasn't visited this historic building.
First time in The Bartons Arms. Fabulously old fashioned as a listed building. Booked into Thai restaurant part of the pub, food is amazing. 2 starters, 2 mains & a rice to share £35. Adequate & very filling portions. 100%recommend. Saturday nights have a DJ playing upstairs music through the decades. Free entry from 9pm - 2am. Would definitely go again.
