The Beehive White Waltham
The only complaint we had was 2 of 4 within our group thought that the food was extremely salty.
Food was excellent and service better than has been on previous occasions.
Michelin star in the offing! Such beautiful food. Very good service.
Birthday celebration for five adults. Great ambience, nice large table, excellent menu . The food was all of a really high quality and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal. First visit to the Beehive but definitely not the last
Service was very friendly and with a smile from everyone, food was served efficiently, and was very good.
Bland and very expensive cod main course.
All very dull.
Veg charged in addition
Good food in a nice setting
Always a lovely meal at the Beehive
All excellent as ever food lovely great service. Would highly recommend
The food and service were excellent and catered for our dog as well (even though he tried creep under a hedge)
Lovely food, but it took a long time to arrive for a table of 7 for lunch despite the restaurant not being full.
We’ve eaten here several times and have been disappointed on most occasions, but we keep trying as it’s fairly local. This time we were served a bottle of wine which was horrendously corked, only to be told that this was the style of the wine. The second bottle was fine, but if they think the first bottle was ok, I hate to think what the winemaker has been making.
For the prices, you would think they would recognise a badly corked wine at the very least.
Excellent food and service, what’s not to like? Only disappointment was that it’s been on our doorstep for so long and we hadn’t tried it. We’ll be back 😊
Perfect evening as the sun set over the green. But at a crucial point the sun shines directly into many diners eyes. The time will vary each day of course but a blind to pull down briefly would be great.
Excellent food and staff were very helpful advising a vegan we had in our party.
Thanks for a great evening.
Another lovely evening at the Beehive and very much the best place I have found in Maidenhead area. The quality and variety of food is really good and service and value excellent.
Fantastic restaurant overlooking the cricket ground. Great ambiance and well constructed table arrangement. The service was impeccable and the food was even better. Would like to see a couple more things on the menu as there were quite a few fish dishes which was great for me, not so much for my other half.
Overall, a very impressive restaurant. We shall be returning.
Excellent selection on the menu. Steak was cooked perfectly and served with a smile. They also make a great Aperol Spritz.
Excellent Sunday lunch. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Excellent and creative cuisine, delightful staff. Lovely location opposite village cricket pitch.
Fabulous food, fabulous service, fabulous location- what’s not to love
We arrived on time and got seated. Took a long time to take our order.
Then took a long time for the first course to arrive.
Then took even longer for the main course to arrive.
The steak was very chewy.
Their was obviously a problem in the kitchen.
The dessert arrived quite quickly.
The whole meal took over 2 hours to serve.
Other times it has been very good, but not this time.
Our food was very good and the chocolate fondant I had for dessert was one of the best I have tasted. I thought the main course potion of cod could have been a bit more generous especially given the price. Service was a bit slow on this occasion as I think there was an event on in the pub later that afternoon. The waiters were very helpful, professional and friendly. The restaurant has a light, airy feel and has a lovely outlook with the village green and cricket match clearly visible to diners. Would definitely return as the food was of a very high standard, lovely restaurant and gorgeous village setting.
Generally lived up to expectation but menu a little disappointing. Service excellent
A really enjoyable evening - interesting choice on the menu, and excellent service of really great dishes
Menu nice, but a bit limited. Perhaps add a healthier fish and chicken option?
Food delicious anyway, nice service, good wine list.
Still trying to work out why an Aperol Spritz costs £9.50!
Thoroughly enjoyed everything about the evening. We will go again in a few weeks
My wife and I celebrated our Anniversary at this Restaurant and we were not disappointed. Delicious food and excellent service.
Our first time at the Beehive and probably our last! We decided on the Beehive due to its location relative to us and the friends we were meeting. We were asked to take up our table, whilst quietly having drinks outside, as there was going to be a rush at 7pm. There was no rush! The food overall was ok but certainly not worth the prices. Our friend ordered the Chicken Pie and it was served very blandly with just a spoonful of mash. No vegetables at all and were told we could order additional veg if required. When paying just under £20 for a Chicken Pie it should at least be worthy of a small amount of veg, if only to add some colour to the plate. The rest of our meals were very ordinary at high prices for what was served and the way the food was presented. All together a pretty poor experience! When the bill was presented it had the optional 12.5% service change, which I chose not to pay as the service was not up to the quality of the restaurant and most certainly not the prices charged! Not what we expected.
We chose from the a la carts menu but we’re overall disappointed. My wife had venison with mash. The mash was almost liquid and not appetising. Our guest and I had fish and chips. Our guest found the chips over cooked and too crispy. All in all not a good experience.
An excellent night out.
The rabbit lasagne and pie are favourites of ours and didn't disappoint.
Great service as always.
Early fathers day
Lovely restaurant, great staff & all very friendly - fantastic food, the venison in particular. The puddings are something else, the chocolate melt in the middle cake was the end of me! Highly recommend
Amazing food and service as always-great Vegan menu choice!
The food was great, no doubt. Unfortunately the service was poor in every aspect, borderline miserable staff. I wouldn’t rush back purely because of the experience. Such a shame because the food has been prepared with amazing attention, but clearly not into the service.
Had high hopes as I’d been told the restaurant was lovely so I booked it for my husbands birthday. The place is lovely and the staff were friendly just think it’s very expensive for what it is. Could have got just as good a meal elsewhere for a lot less.
Attentive service, the food was outstanding, all ccoked to perfection.the baked Alaska is amazing.
Cannot find fault
This place never fails to please good food excellent service and a nice room . what else would you want
we will be back soon
Good food. Very pleasant and efficient service. Excellent range of dishes on menu.
A very enjoyable meal . The pub is located in an attractive spot opposite the cricket field. The food was good and well presented. There was a good range to suit all of our party.
