Lasagne of Wild Rabbit
with Wood Blewits & Chervil
Superb … as always the good is outstanding. Warm cosy setting but with lots of space and very friendly happy service. Always a pleasure to go there. Food is just delicious.
A really good restaurant, very good value, we always have a nice time
One of the most enjoyable meals in a wonderful setting. The service is exceptional!
Excellent food with outstanding service, outstanding value for money
The food and service was excellent. Attentive, informative but not intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious.
The only negative was that the pub area where you can usually sit and have drinks before or after the meal, was not available, occupied by diners. Hence the only option was to hope the table was ready and go directly to that. I do hope that The Bee Hive keeps a pub area to have a drink before the meal as this has always made it overall a lovely experience.
Despite this it was a lovely meal (though definitely costly) in a lovely environment.
Absolutely lovely evening out. The staff were excellent, very high standard of service. One of the best Bloody Mary cocktails I’ve ever had and really good food. Couldn’t fault it
QUITE GOOD BUT NOT OUTSTANDING.
IT WAS NOT UNTIL I GOT HOME I REALISED THEY HAD CHARGED ME £32 FOR THE HADDOCK MAIN COUSE WHICH WAS FAR MORE THAN IN MENEU ...A BIT NAUGHTY
Fantastic family friendly pub restaurant for a special occasion. Delicious food and friendly, attentive service
Excellent meal and helpful staff, as always. Never disappoints.
Excellent food and good service. Had long wait to order though and consequently ate too late for me to fully enjoy. Had tried to move booking earlier and failed although there were free tables earlier.
high quality food in pleasant and friendly , yet professional, atmosphere.
Lovely first impression of the Restaurant, nice to see a vegetarian choice on the daily specials too. Service was efficient and friendly. The quality of the food was wonderful. Will definitely be going again .
Greeted by lovely staff, who were very attentive.Food was beautifully cooked and presented, the rabbit lasagne was excellent and beetroot and goats cheese tart wonderful flavours .
Our mains were perfectly cooked .
A very pleasant few hours
A shame I live local and heard good reports, sadly it didn’t live up to expectations, we didn’t have starters main course lemon sole with no veg apart from potatoes, mutton/suet pudding, so salty not edible a shame
Great desert soufflé no complaints
We decided to share a little scotch egg for a small starter and it was amazing, such perfect flavours.
We treated ourselves to the Amazing roast beef which did not disappoint. For dessert I managed to fit in the cheese cake with blueberries and granola and it was so light and tasty. The service felt relaxed, but superb and not rushed in the slightest.
A very enjoyable meal for my birthday. Lady that served us was chatty and friendly. Food was very good. We will return and would like to book the Valentine Meal.
Great service, food and ambience….definitely worth a visit!
Once again an amazing meal at the Beehive . Fantastic food , excellent atmosphere with top class service
Nicely spaced tables, excellent high quality food, and comfortable and non fussy service offering a selection of adventurous and more conventional options. All dishes all we tried (snails, game, sole and fish and chips were well cooked and presented. Not cheap - we had 2 courses with sides, a bottle of wine and some soft drinks and it came to £50 per head including service. Worth it for special occasions
This was our second visit in 6 weeks. As before it excelled in everything. The interior has a nice calm feel and the tables well spaced. The shortish menu has plenty of enticing dishes, I had the venison with celeriac, spinach and gorgeous mash, quite delicious. The service was charming and relaxed. It’s rare to find such an all round success.
We enjoyed the food and ambience immensely, the lady that served us was exactly right for the occasion
As always the food and service is excellent. Without a doubt the Beehive is Michelin Standard. The prices are reasonable and value for money.
A very enjoyable meal. Excellent menu choices and some unusual options.
Fabulous food - original and delicious, with a menu that offered something to entice all of our very different tastes.
Fantastic service and fabulous food!
I had booked in advance and received an email to confirm I was attending.
All the serving staff were very friendly.
Good selection on the menu and I had the octopus, halibut and finished with the spiced banana soufflé.
The food was nicely presented and very tasty, with lovely sauces.
Well worth a visit.
Very good menu choice , tasty food and a nice buzzy atmosphere .
Our second visit to The Beehive and well worth the two and a half hour drive.
Lovely location, great, imaginative, tasty well cooked food and charming service from the front of house team. We shall return.
Excellent food - have never had a bad meal here. Not the cheapest but is definitely worth it as a treat.
The food is always excellent and interesting. The Yorkshire pudding melted in the mouth and the fig tart and honey ice cream were out of this world. Staff always friendly and knowledgeable . We have eaten here several times over the years and the standard never fails. Looking forward to going again
Excellent Sunday lunch with great service. I always like to check what quality deserts a restaurant has before I book a table, this is important part of lunch for me. So a special thank you to the pastry chef.
We had the most wonderful time at the beehive, amazing meal and service. Made a special occasion even more special.
Lovely menu. The rabbit lasagne starter and the banana soufflé dessert were particularly memorable . Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
Went on a busy Tuesday, but didn't feel rushed. The staff were really attentive, the place is large and open so I didn't feel crammed in. The food was hot, fresh and delicious and the spiced banana soufflé is not to be missed!
We were very well looked after and the food was delicious!
We enjoy eating here for special occasions. The menu is adventurous and the service is excellent
2nd time to Beehive and won’t be last. Lovely dining room, food was first class and service to match. Highly recommended
Probably the best fish n chips we have had since Scarborough in 2006.
Excellent service, lovely wine and very good puds…nice warm bread rolls to start as well.
Very excellent food, nicely served in quiet, comfortable surroundings.
As always great food and great service
