The Bellhouse Ratings and Reviews
Love the ambience of this place. The food was lovely and I had come with 3 friends for a Birthday/Christmas celebration. It was very cold evening but was warm and cosy in the restaurant. We all enjoyed our meals. The price was reasonable and we will visit again soon. The only thing I don’t like is the configuration of the entrance / exit of the car park. We observed several cars not following the directions in and out . Potential for an accident if not careful.
Friendly local pub with excellent pub grub with flare and taste! Great service from Geoff! Do try the Beer battered cod but the small size is lovely and rather huge, such good value and really tasty. Everything was well presented and we all enjoyed our lunch.
Highly recommend this restaurant. Visited with friends for Sunday Lunch which was Tasty, well presented and plentiful. The huge Yorkshire puddings are certainly a talking point. Dessert was amazing too.
The restaurant is large and in Tudor style with beams. It was full but you could still have a conversation easily.
The service was fast, despite a very busy restaurant. Also professional and friendly.
Will definitely visit again soon.
We had an early evening meal with my parents and our children. The menu choice was varied and all dishes looked tempting. There was plenty of vegetarian options and enough variety on the menu to cater for allergies. Both starters and main course were well presented and very tasty.
This was our second visit to the Bellhouse. We enjoyed it so much last week that we booked again and invited family. The food is very good and value for money. Service is efficient. We thought the alcoholic drinks were a bit on the pricy side.
Very nice location and ambience.
Used to like this pub many years ago, but have not been there for quite a while, as have been out of the area. But what a return! My wife and I had lunch here, and it was extremely enjoyable and good value for money. Chose from the set lunch menu as there was plenty on there that we liked, and enjoyed every mouthful. I have to single out the Apple and Pear crumble for dessert. No gooey mouth clogging rolled oats in this dish - it was real crumble all the way, which melted on the tongue. Not had one like it in years. All washed down with some real ale. Very efficiently served by Geoff, our waiter, who was very attentive without being pushy. Will definitely be back!!
Booked a table for a quiet Saturday lunchtime family birthday celebration for 5 people.
The atmosphere was cosy and inviting, with plenty of space around us - we did not feel 'crammed in'.
Very attentive service, we were not rushed, good food and plenty of it - worth the money.
Would definitely recommend to friends.
As usual the Bellhouse provided excellent, friendly and light hearted service. this coupled with a very good menu of really well cooked food (probably the best lamb meal I have ever had!) and a good selection of beers and ales. Nice to be treated as a regular with good banter between us and staff. Not the cheapest around but surely one of the best "value for money" establishments locally.
The Bellhouse is our local, so we are very lucky. However, we still think it is an excellent venue for really tasty food and a great menu. We have many friends, who come out of the area to eat there as well. The service is excellent as well, even when they are busy. Keep up the good work !
