Love the ambience of this place. The food was lovely and I had come with 3 friends for a Birthday/Christmas celebration. It was very cold evening but was warm and cosy in the restaurant. We all enjoyed our meals. The price was reasonable and we will visit again soon. The only thing I don’t like is the configuration of the entrance / exit of the car park. We observed several cars not following the directions in and out . Potential for an accident if not careful.

Friendly local pub with excellent pub grub with flare and taste! Great service from Geoff! Do try the Beer battered cod but the small size is lovely and rather huge, such good value and really tasty. Everything was well presented and we all enjoyed our lunch.

Liked the ambience but would like a more varied menu on Sundays as not a fan of roast no chicken burger would be good

Started with a mix-up over drinks - this was corrected. We then both chose beetroot and goat's cheese mousse which looked quite lost on the large plate. We both found this starter very small and quite strange! I ordered chicken which was supposed to be served with seasonal vegetables......but I didn't get any! This has happened previously. Unfortunately we didn't have the menu so weren't able to check that veg was included - so I just had chicken and mash. The chef was good enough to make a gluten free sauce for me.
My friend had fish & chips which she was quite happy with. She also enjoyed her cheesecake - the only dessert I could have was ice-cream but this was not very enjoyable.
On leaving we followed the drive to the right as instructed, but on driving out and to the left onto the main road there was a loud bang under the car - this has also happened previously - presumably the suspension!

Took friends who can be a bit fussy but they throughly enjoyed their meal as did we. The staff were pleasant. The meal served very quickly. Maybe a little too quickly. The only thing that put a slight damper on our evening was the screeching shrew sitting on the table next to us.

We were three in number and had lunch on Saturday. On arrival, the staff were friendly and helpful, and there's a decent selection of draught beers to enjoy before the meal. The ambience was good, with a comfortable environment, and it was buzzy but not raucous. We had three courses and the food was tasty and the portions were good. Only the chips were a bit substandard - too greasy. Table service was efficient and polite. Pricewise it was good value and my companions and I would happily use The Bellhouse again.

Came for a Sunday lunch as first time here.Lovely decor, good service. Food...meat was excellent. We had the beef but the vegetables had been nuked and not that big a portion and sadly spoilt the meal. Dessert was gorgeous.

It was our 45th wedding anniversary and the night out had to be good. It was. Brilliant. Our waitress, who had only been there for the last month was a treasure and a real catch for the Bellhouse. Food was top drawer.

Starter was missing the one of the main ingredients and we had to point this out after it had been served. No options given at the time and we had to ask for money off at the end rather than it being offered. Shame as otherwise the meal was very good and staff helpful.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Visited with friends for Sunday Lunch which was Tasty, well presented and plentiful. The huge Yorkshire puddings are certainly a talking point. Dessert was amazing too.
The restaurant is large and in Tudor style with beams. It was full but you could still have a conversation easily.
The service was fast, despite a very busy restaurant. Also professional and friendly.
Will definitely visit again soon.

I have eaten here several times, the last time being on a very busy Friday night. We were very kindly relocated without having to ask, to a quieter table away from the bar, as we were a group celebrating many years of friendship. This made a big difference to the evening as obviously we wanted to talk, and even though it was busy upstairs, it was easier to chat. The set menu was good with the whitebait starter and creme brûlée desert being particularly tasty. It's a lovely pub with attentive and polite staff.

Great service, waited quite a while for mains and steak was very well done and chewy, asked for medium to well . Informed waitress she apologised and said would inform chef. Also took supplement and drink off as good gesture was very kind thank you. Love visiting here always nice atmosphere and nice for catch up with friends or romantic eve :)

This was an excellent meal with everything more than I expected.
only downside was maybe the fact that when ordering the steak it was an extra 4 pounds. Did not like that as diffetent to the menu price.
But all good and well worth the visit.
