Delicious food all around for 11 people! Everyone loved what they got, from the Sin Burger, to Pork Chop, Steak, Striped Bass, and Spinach Salad. Servers were wonderful and the dessert platter for the crowd very tasty!

Always amazing and excellent! From the salads to the main entrees you can’t go wrong with anything. The menu has changed up a bit and it’s better than ever! I had the cod dish and was absolutely delicious. The ox is the best!!

I don't much like going out to dinner, especially in the summer. I am (immodestly) a good cook, and am almost always disappointed in my meal whenever we go out, even at highly rated expensive restaurants. We also have a beautiful backyard, and it's tough to leave in the good weather. So I was not optimistic when I took my wife to the Blue Ox last Saturday. But everything at the Blue Ox on Saturday night was special. The drinks (Kettle One gimlets) had a unique delicious twist and they went incredibly well with the excellent Duxbury oysters. Our shared Caesar salad was fantastic, with a wonderful, creamy dressing with just the right hint of mustard. And both of our meals, the striper special and the ribeye special were delicious. Muy rico. The service, Dawn(?) and an patient water guy who had to fill my glass like 8 times as I had been surfing all day and was dehydrated, were outstanding. Hell, even the bread was good. So, now I'm mad at you Blue Ox, because I have lost my excuse for not going to out to dinner!!!

There is little I love more than the Hot and Dirty, tuna tartar, and the chicken, and on special occasions the filet. The Blue Ox makes me happy ever time I go. It really makes our neighborhood great!

Ok, heres the good and the bad. I've been to Blue Ox many times. There are certain things they do very well: cold smoked filet mignon...my husband won't eat steak anywhere else! Steak frites is also very good. Tuna appetizer with the homemade chips...outstanding! The salmon is done perfectly. So, all in all the food is usually very good to outstanding. Skip the lobster tacos...for some reason these were not a fave with anyone anytime I've gone. If you like bourbon, the "bacon and legs" drink is also one of my husband's favorites. The waitstaff are very nice and affable, and often times the person that comes to your table may not be your actual server. They all seem to help out each other. Alright..now the not so great: the wait time can be inconsistent, this includes getting service to come to the table and actually getting the food. This visit, the food came out in dribs and drabs. The two cold smoke filets were presented at least 5 full minutes before any other food and the next two dinners were wrong. The chairs are not particularly comfortable. Blue Ox, consider chair pads for your diner's comfort. We will definitely be back, at least the next time my husband wants a phenomenal steak!

The Filet Mignon, a special, is ALWAYS a "go to". We were able to order a "SIN Burger" KETO style with no trouble, along with substitutions that were KETO friendly. Haven't had a bad experience there yet. Always a winner!

Been to the Blue Ox 3 times now. NEVER had a bad appetizer, drink, entree or dessert. Their pear salad is SO good, only restaurant in which I look forward to having salads at. All of their entrees are portioned perfectly and great flavor. I can't say enough good things about the Blue Ox.

We made reservations two hours prior to a show (5:30 reservations for a 730 show). We were seated right away and our waitress was great however our meal wasn’t served until 7:10 causing us to have to eat quickly to make the show.

Always a great meal at The Blue Ox. I wish I lived closer because I would be there all the time. Everything is so fresh and tastes great. The staff is super friendly and inviting. Love the ambiance as well. Look forward to going back!

Made a reservation for two, waited 10 minutes at table for acknowledgement from waitress, then another 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. Apparently there was in issue with the computer which complicated orders. It was very noisy, unflattering decor/basic for pricey menu. It was a disappointing experience because food was really great. We won't go back.

A nice weeknight dinner with attentive service and food that is a notch above. The service was welcoming. I appreciated the offer to cover the air conditioning vent under our table. The menu is a nice change from many others. The choices offered a wide range of inventive dishes. We will be back

We have tried this restaurant three times, and each time there was an issue. Mostly it’s about the time it takes to get seated on a busy night even with reservations. Tonight we got seated right away at our reservation time but then it took over 20 minutes for a server to even come and say hello.Food is excellent but it’s just not worth the trouble.

Food that we ordered was excellent and plated well. Our table was very happy with all the appetizers and entrees, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Ambiance was good, but a little loud on the bar side, could stand to use some acoustic dampening ceiling tiles or baffles. It was near impossible for conversation while having a drink waiting for our table. The dining side of the space was excellent, not quiet and not loud, perfect really. The bathroom was serviceable and mostly clean, but it did have cobwebs and spiders in the ceiling corners. The only real knocks were the inability for two guests to order the sin burger because they were out of ground beef, and the waitress was exceedingly difficult to find at times. All in all, a very good time, and will definitely go back.
