The Blues Kitchen - Shoreditch
Amazing!! This was my first time going to Blues Kitchen but this was the only place everyone in our 7-people group agreed on. The food and service were so amazing that I went back the next evening with another friend. The service was outstanding, our waiter went above and beyond to make our work night enjoyable!
Listen great service and food very good, came out quickly. Noise level with everyone competing to be heard almost unbearable. A drinking establishment and certainly not a music venue. For the aficionados of good blues music to HEAR do not go NEAR.
It was my first time going & honestly the service was absolutely outstanding, the girl that served us ensured that the experience was great & she was undeniably the best. I had a few doubts at first because of some weird reviews but it definitely lived up to what I expected. I went for a birthday and the £5 deal on cocktails every Wednesday definitely made it worth my time.
Will be coming back many more times. Thank you very much
Come here quite regularly and it's always great. Cocktails are amazing, food is outstanding, service is always fantastic. Had the buffalo cauliflower for the first time on this visit and it blew our minds! Also must say our waiter Steven was absolutely outstanding, checking up on us regularly, didn't forget a single thing and was very polite and helpful!
It’s an great place to enjoy great food and some drinks. The atmosphere is nice and enjoyable.
The only down side of my experience was that the waitress was pretty inconvenient asking me a few times if I’d like to order more food that I already had . All the time he was coming to ask if I wanted to order something also after order a huge Texas tray and four beers. It was very inconvenient since I was with my fiancé and we were always interrupted by this guy. Definitely he needs some training or if the problem is to stay for longer than the booking just explain and move ya to other place, simple.
Monday night rib night.. £10 for a stack of ribs, was too much for one person to finish. Food was awesome but very heavy and sickly. Food came out very quick, waiter could have done with a little more training. Wasn’t aware of the details of the rib night, asked what we wanted for desert without ever giving us the pudding menu.
Overall good though
Recommend the mac and cheese, it will change your life
Great place, music could have been louder but good food and service
Table wasn’t ready when we arrived, was directed to the bar but no staff member came to find us when the table was ready, just had to head back to the check in desk and ask ourselves. Despite our wait we were asked to vacate our table promptly at the end of our allotted time.
Food was great, but I’ve dined here before and the old menu had more choice and larger portions so was disappointing to see it had changed. Great atmosphere and good food though.
Our waiter was very welcoming !
Had our first date there and went for Valentines. Really nice, great starters!
Food is always amazing
We always come back :)
My second visit and probably my last. Grumpy staff, flat prosecco and brisket served as a big fatty slab.
Amazing food as always. However we were late getting our table and then rushed off at the end before my husband had even finished his coffee. A shame as this spoilt the experience some what. Usually our fave spot in shorditch.
Food was great, just a shame when we sat down and our waiter was pouring us some tap water for the table, he dropped a glass of icy water over my dads lap. it was an accident but he sat through the meal with wet jeans and was only given a shot for each of us 3 at the table to say sorry
food was epic though :) very loud but we knew it would be
Staff very friendly and our bottomless brunch drinks were always topped up quickly. My food was nice, not very hot though. It's a great place, very lively and colourful decor.
As always The Blues Kitchen didn't disappoint! Amazing food. Amazing music. Amazing staff and service but unfortunately this time there was one down side. The girl i decided to take there was a miserable rude ignorant disrespectful wet fish so just proving I am great at picking amazing restaurant but not so good at picking decent girls 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Spent friday night here to celebrate two birthdays. If eating fast and dancing with indigestion is your thing, then try this place as the food and music is good. However, we won't be returning unless they change their approach. This is why... We arrived on time for our booking. We mostly had good service from the server allocated to our table and were able to order in an appropriately timely manner. We ordered cocktails and three courses. The food was nice and enjoyed by all. However, we were rushed to finish our meal. Before dessert had even arrived we were asked by a different guy to settle our bill as they wanted the table back. Our two friends birthdays were not even acknowledged by the venue (though this was mentioned at the time of booking). Yet guests at another table were given a birthday 'treat'. Instead the guy repeatedly returned pressuring us to settle the bill. So once we had eaten dessert, using the total on the bill he gave us we split the bill. Once everyone had paid, our server went off to process it. She then returned with an outstanding balance. Turns out the bill the guy had given us wasn't the final bill as it hadn't included all our drinks. This was most frustrating, and clearly a result of his impatience. We were not even apologised to, and I was stuck having to pay the large balance which ruined the night for me. We all ended up leaving early as nobody was in the mood to enjoy the live music after that. This venue has so much potential to be a great place for a good night out, but they really need to rethink their approach and re-focus their efforts on ensuring patrons have a good time rather than focussing on turnover and lining their fat pockets!
Really lovely place! Amazing food, music and service
Fantastic venue , service and food. Really enjoyed the experience and would go again!
One moan, service charge is included but you are asked if you want to add a tip when paying by card! Why? If you are daft enough (like me) not to do a forensic check of the bill then you pay twice. Oh well, 20% tip lol
Try it yourself! Words don’t do justice. Food was amazing. Drinks we’re fantastic. Dessert was mouth watering
Amazing environment! The food and the band were great
See you next time guys!!!
We enjoyed our meal very much but was very rushed, as we were told we had to get off the table only to walk past less than an hour later to see it empty. We also left early as there were way too many bodies, tried to watch the live band who were brilliant but had to push through then was continually pushed and shoved as we couldn't move so decided to call it a night which was a shame as it's a lovely place but was just too crowded for us and was only 11.30, way too early!
Incredible place, Stunning architecture, Blues music, tasty food, excellent beer...
Waiter was exceptional considering how chaotic it was. Good food and well priced. Was way too loud and busy when getting into the restaraunt and to the loos - like a night club. There was a Lack of respect in the restaruant areas - it felt like eating in the middle of a club so would not go back
Food was good but burger could've used a little seasoning. The place is loud but the restaurant was full and music was playing in the background so that was expected. Service was very good, thank you to our waiter Valencio.
Great atmosphere food was awesome service superb and will definitely be back!
I had a very enjoyable birthday meAl with my family.
Very nice place enjoyed my
Self food was very tasty just wasn’t keen on the macoroni
It was quite bland
Gospel Choir brunch - amazing music and atmosphere. Great food too!
Great place and good music but the staff are very annoying.
Constantly coming to the table and pushy.
Food was ok but would not eat there again just go for drinks.
Good atmosphere and reasonable prices just to many waiters and waitresses pestering you all the time.
Annual visit to Shoreditch - yet again great food😋! First time to the Blues Kitchen - book early, you’ll not be disappointed. Fab service, tasty food, friendly people !
Went to The Blues Kitchen on a Saturday night for a friends Hen do and had a great time. There were 8 of us and we ate, drank and danced and enjoyed every minute. The food was delicious, our waitress excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant. I'd read a few not so great reviews before we went and had some reservations but I needn't have worried. My only criticism was my experience with the reservations team. I had booked the table via Open Table a few months prior to the event so phoned a month before to ensure that all was okay with the reservation. The young lady on the reservation team was very abrupt and seemed to be bemused as to why I would want to check. When I asked whether we could reserve a table for when we had finished eating she said "we don't allow double booking" in a very rude manner. I was only enquiring as I hadn't been to the restaurant before and didn't know how things worked so a simple "I am sorry, we don't allow double table bookings" would have been a much more appropriate response. The Reservation Team is your first point of contact and should always have a friendly manner and be polite. I nearly cancelled my reservation because of her attitude but was very pleased I didn't!
