The Blues Kitchen - Shoreditch
Booked a table to celebrate my daughter's birthday and getting her first job after graduating. I've been to the Blues Kitchen a couple of times before and wanted to share my enthusiasm. My wife and daughter loved the whole experience, from the moment we walked in, to looking around the venue, to the food, the drink and the live music. It was a great value, enjoyable evening, with excellent and attentive service from the staff.
Good food great value. Food didn't wow me and the noise level was quite high. Not fond of noisy places and it was difficult to hear the music being played
Food was amazing. (Went for brunch)
My may concern was the restaurant was cold. It is quite a large space so I assume difficult to heat, nevertheless I will definitely go back.
Also, some food portions are a bit small, my friend had avacodo on toast which was only one slice (appx £12) she enjoyed it but had to order another dish as she was still hungry.
I had shrimp salad (appx £12) which was a good size and very tasty.
Was well looked after by our waiter Joe! Had a really enjoyable time
specifically asked to be sat away from the crowd and in a quieter area for a more intimate dating experience.
This didn't happen. was sat right by the door and bar and had people leaning on my table as i ate. I called ahead and asked to avoid this happening.
The cocktails were good though
Food and cocktails are amazing
Will be returning very soon
Music and atmosphere good but when live band on the music was too loud meaning I couldnt hear my partner or myself!
Amazing evening the food is exceptional but I don't like that you can't buy a pint after a certain time at you have to buy cans of beer for the same price as a pint massive con
Birthday Date! Food amazing as always, service excellent and even got a dessert present for the bday!
Waited 30 min for a table after I have booked a table.
Waiter not friendly
Girl bartender not friendly.
Food was over cooked
Good night, food was enjoyable. Missed the live music.
Not a lot to choose from, don’t waste your money on the coleslaw it’s the worst I’ve had in my life it’s just salad no sauce. Milkshake was good, wings was nice. We spent £43 not worth that price at all. Wouldn’t go back for the food only for the milkshake.
The food was great. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. One member of staff even remembered us from 10 months ago. great atmosphere.
Standard food, great service, very loud should you want to talk but great music
Went here for my friends belated birthday celebration. The service and the food were excellent, but the music was too loud so we couldn’t really hear each other even though we were sat on the opposite side of the restaurant to the band. Otherwise everything else was perfection!
It was great, best spicy wings in London 🥂👍
Food was a bit of a disappiontment as it didn't hit the notes with taste looked like a lots was pre cooked and not made fresh the pork ribs were fatty and the beef bisket tasted boilled.
We celebrated my sons 21st birthday- weekend away in London. Great atmosphere as there was a live band, it was really busy and the music was great. Starter and main meals were very good. We shared a huge starter between 5 of us which was amazing. My son wanted lobster as his mains - again a shared dish Which I shared with him. It was presented on a huge iced platter which looked impressive but I felt it had too much ice which became watery which meant you lost the flavour of the small prawns- A minor point. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. We also were not offered a dessert? Quite odd. Other than that a great evening- best for groups as a night out.
We only had 1.15h for the tables and were being made aware of this and rushed every minute by the waiter, mains came out pre-starters, baby squid contained more batter than squid, mains were rather cold and the brisket was very fatty/watery. Would recommend for drinks as great atmosphere but not for food.
Got to the restaurant and I'm told at the desk that my booking has been cancelled, even though I have a confirmation e-mail and I received an additional e-mail the day before to tell me that they are looking forward to hosting my party. After showing both e-mails at the desk I have been told that they are fully booked and that there is no table available. They suggested to get a drink at the bar, no apologies or complementary round of drinks.
Once I got the table, the service from the Italian waiter is really good. However food is below average.
Good points are the service at the table and the atmosphere.
Food and booking system is really bad.
I would only recommend it to go for drinks and and live music. If you are looking to have dinner better to go somewhere else.
Our waitress Nelady was informative, hospitable and lovely to chat too!
Vibrant live music every night and wide choice of whiskey! The music and the atmosphere are unbeatable. My favorite late night dinner
Only regret was we didn’t stay to dance after dinner. Great for a big group dinner with mates you haven’t seen in a while- great music to keep the buzz and chatter and carry on the party after if you want. Hearty, tasty comfort food & good drinks.
Ordered more food than I could eat.
The staff went out of their way to get a charger for my friend whose phone had died and wouldn’t have been able to get her train home without it.
Big, juicy ‘shrimp’ in the taco salads. Mac n cheese maybe could have done with a bit longer to give it the crispy top.
Just a great atmosphere and good Deep South American style grub. What more could you ask for?!
We booked the bottomless brunch and from the minute we stepped in, to the minute we left the staff could not do enough to help us / answer our questions. The food was amazing and good value for money. The bottomless prosecco and mimosas ensured we never had an empty glass. We will definitely book to come back! Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
Great experience, however music was so way loud - we wtruggle to have a conversation while having dinner.
Great service, great food
Fantastisk place. We has a great meal, enjoyed some covtails downstairs and endes the evening listenig to a great bluesband
Great venue with a fantastic look and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and very prompt with our orders. The food was delicious, I could of had nothing but the Ox cheek nuggets and my drink and been happy, but the cheeseburger was a real treat. Will go again.
Nice food and service. Live music was a bit too loud for casual chatting.
Food was amazing, must try the Oreo doughnuts! Will be coming back again to experience dinner.
Everything is good: food, decoration, good value
Everything was absolutely great!!
Lovely atmosphere, great service, food and drink and good music!
Very friendly staff, liked call ahead to confirm booking. Food excellent and good price, music great. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will rebook for my wife’s birthday in March. This occasion was my son’s stag.
Great venue, service was brilliant, would highly recommend.
3rd (and final) of the Blues Kitchens I’ve visited, Ambiance wise I prefer both Camden and Brixton, but food was still awesome and the band were the best yet! It feels a bit big for a blues Bar but that allows the music to be belted out on the bar side I guess. Still my favourite chain to eat in London and the value is second to none.
Keyring Tuesdays are the best! Best wings in London too.
Normally go to Blues Kitchen Camden, however went to the Shoreditch one instead. Far better space, and much better feel. Waiter was a good laugh, and the team overall were really helpful. Food was incredible as with the Camden Blues Kitchen. Artist on stage was a great performer. Overall great bar/restaurant
It was a birthday. Put that on open table but no recognition of that at the restaurant
Attentive staff, lovely food and great ambience!
