The Blues Kitchen - Shoreditch
Great food, staff and amazing live music !
We came to Blues Kitchen for my birthday meal as we love the food and atmosphere. However, on this occasion we found it just too loud. There was a band and singer performing, tables of young guests screeching with laughter continuously for an hour or so. We struggled to hear each other as did the waitress when trying to take our orders! Food was lovely as always however we were so disappointed to find the beef brisket had been removed from the wings n things platter! Please bring it back!
I booked a table for my birthday. We had the loveliest afternoon. All the staff were wonderful, couldn’t be more helpful or attentive. When they found out it was my birthday they bought out a special desert with candles. The whole atmosphere was amazing, live music was great and food delicious. Perfect way to celebrate!
Booked a table for 8pm arrived on time weren’t seated until 8.20 we had to stand by the door for 20 minutes . When we were seated we felt rushed to order and then pay. Busy restaurant that can’t cope with its capacity .
Great atmosphere, really good service, poor food, some of it awful.
Great restaurant. Attentive staff. Great food and great atmosphere.
Amazing place great service great food beautiful architecture
Love the atmosphere, the staff are always friendly, relaxed and attentive. Highly recommended.
Food is still good, however, noticed a bit of a dip in quality over the last 12 months.
Fantastic food and great drink menu. Would highly recommend this establishment.
We had an amazing time. Our waiter was absolutely fabulous and helpful. We will be visiting Blues kitchen again.
We went for the bottomless brunch, it was 20 minutes before we were seated even though we’d booked and 45 minutes until we’d been served a drink. The waitress was extremely friendly and we still had a great experience, however as it was very busy it took a while and things w en asked for were often forgotten about.
Great atmosphere and drinks were topped up well. However the food was awful, my sweet potato hash was really greasy and the portions were incredibly small for the price in comparison to other brunches. Had we known the portions were so small we would have ordered multiple dishes, such a shame as there's a great atmosphere in there
Great food, brilliant atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Went in a Wednesday night had live music. A very good drink special that lasted all night. Will definitely return
It was perfect! Well.. live music was really lodu, we couldnt talk but the place absolutely spectacular and band played really good :)
First time I've been to the blues kitchen and I was really impressed. The food was lovely, especially the sharing board and while a little expensive had generous portion sizes that I wasn't expecting making it definitely value for money. Nice atmosphere as well with live bands playing
The restaurant had a great vibe. Food was good and service was fine.
The food was good, the music was excellent, the service was abysmal. There were points in the meal where we had to go to the bar to get drinks because our server was not around or responsive (at one point they cleared empty glasses from the table, but left before we could order another round). It was a busy time, so a little slow service would be understandable; however, this was a truly disappointing level of disorganization and poorly trained and unpleasant front of house staff.
Nice place, food was really good so I was told. They made a mess of one dish but all I can say is that I’m glad they tried to rectify it. That made a difference.
Awesome place. Food was lovely and good vfm. Efficient service.
Too expensive for the small amount of food
Great service great ambiance
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I ordered the pancakes with bacon, but I thought the chef was a little stingy on the bacon and I certainly could have had more. However, for a few pancakes and bacon, I think £8-£9 is too much to pay and definitely not worth it.
The brunch menu isn’t too exciting either. “The Diner” restaurant is definitely more value for money.
Really fun evening. Food, drinks and music were all great. Busy but not horrendously packed for a Friday night. Would highly recommend to anyone. Would advise booking in advance as queues on the door are long.
Very good service with a varied menu, ordered the brisket burger which was amazing. Prices are reasonable and would suit all types of budget. Took along a group of friends who had not been before, they loved it and say they will recommend it to others. Will definitely go again.
The service was very friendly..
great burger, wonderful fries
..... and the music was right up my street!
Lovely buzzy restaurant with great food and music. A fun night out. Friendly helpful staff.
Lovely place to eat with family and friends. The food was really lovely and staff were helpful
I wasn’t made aware when booking that I had to order food with this booking to be able to sit at a table.
Waitress on arrival was rude and had a very short patience
This was supposed to be a lovely evening for my partners birthday but was ruined when we were told we had to order food to sit
When we said we’d have some chicken wings and I enquired as to whether they had gluten in we were met with short rude replies
So in the end went to the bar had one drink and left because we were so disappointed.
Won’t be booking again
Apart from the music being a bit too loud to the point you had to shout to speak to the person next to you, everything else was good!
Extremely noisy environment! Food menu choices reduced — not sure why the menu was changed but we no longer have the choices we used to in the past. Now mainly burgers and wings.
Good as always, great atmosphere, great food, lovely staff
Our waiter was brilliant- wish we knew his name so we could let the management team know! One of our party had a lot of allergies and he advised us perfectly. Only down side was one of the hostess' tried to move us off our table after 1 hour when we hadn't finished our drinks/ ordered deserts and was quite rude about it! If you book a table you expect a 2 hour time slot especially when you are their for a birthday celebration.
It was first time to visit the place and I’m chuffed to bits!! Had an incredible time with friends, I commend also Marcus for everything, welcoming staff, service was absolutely amazing, Live music absolutely cool!! Good food, i must say it was an epic night for me, really happy that I celebrated my birthday in Blues kitchen shoreditch
My friends we’re the happiest!! Great feedback from them!! It was awesome experience
Had a lovely brunch at blues kitchen this weekend - my only criticism is that we chose to have the bottomless brunch which included unlimited proseco. We had to ask the waitress to top our drinks up at least 4 times as they seemed to be too busy talking to eachother. We wanted to make sure that we were getting our moneys worth for the proseco and felt that we shouldn’t have had to ask several times to have our drinks re filled. Other than that the food was lovely and we had an enjoyable afternoon.
I would recommend blues kitchen to a friend for the music and ambiance but not for the food. I found the food to be a bit bland and expensive for what it was. However, the service was really good and I love the atmosphere of the place and the live music.
Most amazing ending to a perfect girls day! I've visited before but unfortunately only for the drinks and entertainment which were fab. I promised myself I would return to try the menu, and our party was not disappointed. None of the group had visited before, and they were amazed by the choice of venue. Thumbs up all round, friendly quick service from the start. We did arrive early on this friday so this was a benefit, as it became busy very quickly!! Great size food portions, well cooked tasty food, we all selected a range to share, amazing décor, lots of photo ops!! My only gripe being a 'dessert person' is that the variety and lack of choice (3) and milkshakes were a bit underwhelming:( although it definitely won't stop me from returning.
Great atmosphere, good food, ok prices. A lovely evening and the live music was great!
Great food as always. Great venue, even better when the live band is playing.
Only con would be bottomless drinks could have been better. Waiters didn’t come round as often.
Really nice brunch, food was super tasty, very well presented, the staff very attentive and making recommendations. Love the place, for sure we will come back soon!
Lovely place, great atmosphere & food was delicious, would go again 👍
