The booking was for 4 people, we was placed on a table of 3 and had to find our own extra chair. Although we had arrived 10 mins early and our order was taken, we was told our order could not be placed until the booking time (4 mins laterat this point).
The Spice Girls cocktails seemed to have been thrown together and were purely aesthetic, none of drinks flavor combinations worked, considering the price it was disappointing.
Also as lots of people were attending to get the Spice Girl experience, on the last weekend of the tour, it was disappointing to be told we couldn't access or even see the famous staircase due to an installation taking place. I understand this may not be related to the restaurant but it did have a dampener on the experience.
Was pleasantly surprised...great place to eat and have dinner/ drinks when catching train
Awesome place, with amazing decor and vibe. will sure to be back and will recommend
Had a lovely experience! My mother and I are visiting London for a week from California. The Booking Office is great food, friendly service, and beautiful ambiance. Definitely recommend this rest at the beautiful St. Pancras hotel.
The restaurant is gorgeous and the manager was so attentive. 100% recommend!
Cocktails were delicious and great atmosphere. Will be back soon I hope!
A magnificent setting but tables are worn and food and service only mediocre.
Environment lovely and the service good. The food was nice but small portions.
Beautiful venue, great food and our server Ralph was excellent. Definitely recommend the Victorian drink experience!
We ordered the king prawns which werent cooked so we had to send them back. While the staff were apologetic and got working on a refire right away it ruined our experience. We werent even offered a complimentary drink while we waited for the food to return. Its a nice enough place very trendy lovely decor and vibe but you could get better value elsewhere
Yummy cocktails and food. Went for the spice girls special cocktails!
Plwasant ambienve, excellant service, drlicious just cooked fresh fish
Only negativexwas the loud music which seemed unnecessary at 5.30 in the afternoon.
We’ve been here several times but not in the last 6 months so thought we were due a visit. Love the building and the whole setting but it’s really lost its vibes and buzz that made the place. The service wasn’t great, our waiter dropped items on the table and dropped a greasy bread knife on my lap. We had to ask about the specials and the waiter seemed bored and didn’t engage with us. The starters were nice, roasted cauliflower soup and mussels but our main course was very disappointing- we all had the pulled beef burger with chips. The burger was soggy and not very warm and lacked flavour. Chips were good. We didn’t have dessert. One of our party had a special cocktail but the glass was decorated with some fancy blue powder which dyed his hand blue and left a blue stain running over the table which the waiter failed to notice. The place is beautiful but we won’t be going back again for a meal maybe just for drinks
My friends and i really enjoyed meeting up at the Booking Office. The cocktails and snacks were delicious and the service attentive
Good cocktails- very nice staff.
However the food was small portions of expensive nonsense.
Good food in the end
Service a bit slow and mechanical - they were unaware which dishes were vegan and which not.
Pulled beef burger was excellent.
Wine is fairly poor unless you want to spend a lot.
So basically gastropub +
Have eaten at the Booking Office before but the standard of service and food has deteriorated a lot. The venue and the ambience are still good - it's a beautiful setting - but I won't eat here again.
Service was very slow and we had to keep asking for things. The quality of the food was poor and seriously overpriced. Shame!
Over priced. Battered fish still had the skin on . Not pleasant. Will not eat an evening meal there again.
We enjoyed our dinner at The Booking Office very much. The food, wine, service and ambience were all top notch!
Great to meet friends for cocktails and a quick bite to eat!
Great location and premises - let down by the food and slow service. OK if there's no alternative...
the two scallops sliced wafer thin between two was not value for the money, the sea bass was perfect the batter on the fish was good the india rubber cod was not good in fact very poor ice cream and crumble good
Very average food and wine at very high prices
Just very poor value for money and a great disappointment
Very distinct, different and atttractive venue - modest sized menu includes several unusual ( and good) dishes - good wine list that includes draft beer.
Gorgeous bar, beautiful decor and fantastic location. Unfortunately the food and service were well below expectations.
Took my friend here for her birthday. The venue is lovely , high ceilings and stunning bar and area . Sadly, the service and food does not match up to the stunning interior . We were a party of three women . We found the service patronising and off hand . None of us eat bread so when we asked for the bread to be taken away it was met with a smirk and a comment about diets . The wine was pushed on us by filling when we hadn’t finished and pushing for a second bottle which we didn’t want .Food was very average and certainly did not match the price point . A shame but we were relieved to leave .
Great location for meetings, but music is too loud. I don’t even think music is needed.
Service is slow and always have to call for somebody to come over, which when you’re with somebody, you don’t want to constantly be looking around for somebody.
Hot chocolate was very sweet so the next time I asked for extra milk instead, which made it much nicer to drink.
Food is good and always fresh. Staff are friendly. Great range of drinks
Excellent service, delicious food and wonderful ambience! What’s not to love about this venue
Nice breakfast, but to be honest a bit over priced.
We really enjoyed our lunch at The Booking Office. Generous portions; good quality, tasty food; excellent service.
Service was almost non existent and the staff that did bother to come over after being called over on several occasions were not great. Boiled eggs served after 30 mins, the 2 x eggs came in just plain small bowls so couldn't hold the egg as they were hot. If had been served in egg holders would not have been an issue. The soldiers were made from a small slice of bread sliced up. Nothing special and not enough. Couldn't order a second drink as getting hold of anyone to take an order or deliver something in time before had to leave was just too difficult. Venue is lovely, service dire, food below average. Over priced to start with, add in the useless service and bad food I would say this is worthless. Far better in same walking distance within St.Pancras
The chef needs to up his game. The menu is quite limited but the setting and ambience is great.
We have always found the staff really friendly and attentive and this visit was no exception. Food was good and came quickly.
It is a beautiful venue and the staff were great but the food was disappointing. Catch of the day was an over cooked whole sea bass with a few un dressed lettuce leaves on the side.
Probably would go back for a drink but not for food.
This is possibly one of the most beautiful buildings in London, it is a genuine reflection of the ingenuity and ambition of the victorian era. It is one of the most delightful place to eat and people watch. The food is always first class.
Menu choice was too limited and while the quality of the food was good, it was a little overpriced.
The venue and service was good.
This is the second time we have visited The Booking Office and this time we were very disappointed and will not go again, we were there for dinner at 19:30 on 16 March.
The restaurant is beautiful as is the whole building and there is a nice ambience in the room but the food is expensive and poor value for money. My wife had Fish & Chips and the meal not only looked unappetizing but also tasted unappetizing, my local Fish and Chip shop produce is far better for a fraction of the price!
We travel all over the world and enjoy visiting different restaurants but will certainly not return to The Booking Office on our frequent visits to London.
Great food and lovely location. The only downside was the noise level which was far to loud and made it difficult to make polite conversation without shouting. Otherwise, great experience and I would recommend to others.
The food was too expensive at £20 for a very basic and not very hot fish and chips and at £10 for two bottle s of sparkling water - too much.
I love the atmosphere of this place but unfortunately it was spoilt by the rude service. My friend and I were meeting for tea and after we had just finished our tea, we were unceremoniously told to hurry and vacate the table because they had a dinner booking. We were not even asked if we would like to stay for dinner ourselves or offered an alternate place at the bar. We were just told to leave ASAP. This really spoilt our experience.
