The Brasserie at Lucknam Park
Adjoining the fabulous Spa within the walled garden at Lucknam Park Hotel and only 6 miles east of Bath, the contemporary and stylish Brasserie is perfect for light lunches for Spa Days or all day informal dining. Al fresco dining in the summer on the The Brasserie terrace or snug indoors in front of the open fire in the winter! Whether you want breakfast, a healthy snack, family tea or a three course dinner, The Brasserie with its lounge area, bar and restaurant offers a great choice of dining areas as well as varied and creative menus.
We booked The Brasserie for our New Years Eve meal and had our confirmation through all ready for the big night. However, we got there and there was not a soul in sight! They must have had an event on and had shut the restaurant without updating their booking system and the Opentable register. It was completely closed and ruined our plans for the evening. We ended up having to go back to our hotel room and order food in. Really shocked that an establishment such as this could make such an error - something so simple to prevent. We were embarrassed and left with highly underwhelming NYE - please don't let this happen to anyone again!
Friendly service and good food. Portions are fairly small so it’s easy to eat 3 courses.
Excellent in every way
A great location deep in Wiltshire country side. Adjacent to Michelin star hotel restaurant that obviously influences the food in the brassery.
Great food in a modern setting.
Good start with the wait staff but it declined during our meal. At one point, there were four staff members milling around the bar and I couldn't get any of them to pay us any attention. We had finished our meal at this point and wanted to order dessert. It took ages to get them to do that. And an almost equally painful amount of time to get our bill at the end.
Tried the Brasserie as the Restaurant is being refurbished. Was the first time we have visited Lucknam Park and overall it was ok but staff were pleasant but sloppy at times eg. Chair pulled out but not offered; the house Pinot Grigio unbelievably ran out which for a quality restaurant shouldn't happen. I could go on, but overall very overpriced such as house viognier £12.40 a glass; Pollock at £20 for a piece of fish 3"x2" with potatoes an extra cost
Overall although pleasant staff it wasn't good value and sadly we probably won't rush back soon
We arrived at night and could not see how to get to the restaurant from the car park, luckily a hotel employee was on hand to show us the way. Staff continued to look after us thoughtfully and respectfully throughout the evening. The food was beautifully cooked and simply presented. We ordered fish of the day and were delighted wish the freshness and delicacy of the dish. The brasserie is modern, and what you might expect for a high quality eatery in a Hotel, nonetheless the service, food, and general relaxed atmosphere made the experience very pleasurable. We will definitely eat there again .
Another wonderful evening at Lucknam Park. Very well looked after, great wine advice, wonderful food. Our favourite place on the east side of Bath.
Fabulous quality food in wonderful surroundings with outstanding staff. Imaginative well cooked and served food, perfect service, and a relaxed ambiance suitable for families and romantic meals alike. I would recommend the brassiere (and the whole hotel) to anyone with any hesitation.
The Brasserie is in a modern building at the rear of the hotel. It has large picture windows looking out onto the garden and has a very open feeling. It is attractive in mid-winter and would be even better in mid-summer. It is used by people using the Spa as well as those coming specifically for lunch. Thus there are quite a lot of people in dressing gowns which detracts somewhat from the ambiance.
The lunch menu is well balanced and excellent value for money. The food is very good (particularly the Wiltshire beef) and the service is discrete and effective.
My second time here and we had a fabulous time again in a crisp but relaxed environment. Will definitely be back.
Visited for our 17th wedding anniversary, the staff are all fantastic, and they catered for me very well. I have a wheat, gluten fruit and nut allergy and they made it so easy. The steak was cooked to perfection and we really enjoyed our evening thank you
I have eaten in the main restaurant in the hotel before and that was the full Michelin Star experience. So my main problem was that this was a lot way short of that. I'd still fancied a posh night out but this was more of a family restaurant feel with plenty casual dressers and everyone but us off for an early night.
The food was good but not terribly memorable, and the waiters were fine without being fantastically knowledgeable and attentive.
The dinner wasn't cheap but obviously less than the main restaurant, and with the location some way out of town I would suggest that there are much better options in Bath, Bristol or at some of the local cozy gastro pubs.
The beautiful setting of the Lucknam Park really set the tone for a lovely dinner . Food and service was wonderful.
