Friday night, overbooked and very noisy at 8.00pm. Neither a dining or drinking pub at the time. Asked to be moved from a very loud group, we were offered a table in the upstairs room, this had all the atmosphere of a old people’s home bright overhead lighting and a selection of misfits hiding from the real world. Food should have saved the evening however it was so salty it was virtually inedible. Made our feelings known as we paid the bill no apology or offer on the bill. Sorry not a good experienced the bridge needs sort itself out or it may just become another Scandinavia crime drama

Luckily we booked a table as the Thursday evening we went was fairly busy, but this did not detract from the efficient service. Staff friendly and attentive. We happened to book on grill night where you get 2 main meals and a bottle of wine for £30. We added a fantastic starter of mushrooms in a rich cream sauce. The main steaks were perfectly cooked and generous portion sizes of chips and trimmings. Nice atmosphere with a mux of ages. Dog friendly.

Lovely food, well cooked and presented nicely. We booked to eat on grill night without realising but everything on the menu sounded great and was really well priced, two meals and a bottle of wine for £30. Highly recommended.

Very enjoyable meal with family. Service initially was very good, food was generally excellent although my wife who had the lamb roast was disappointed.

After we had finished our deserts we felt abandoned. No-one came near our table and in the end I had to go to the bar to settle our bill. We might have wanted more drinks but were never given the opportunity to order any. This seems to be an issue increasingly in restaurants recently!

I felt the music was inappropriate and too loud.

We have been trying pubs and restaurants in our local area and this is a little gem of a place. We had the special burger of the day and asked for chunky chips instead of the small thin fries. The food was lovely and fresh and service was good. Food was clearly prepared and cooked at time of ordering so expect to wait for you meal to be freshly cooked. They have their own microbrewery so the beer is lovely.

We booked a table for 4 Saturday night at 1945.
Waiting staff were all excellent.
Real ale brewed on the premises very good.
Food options were ok but they had run out of several dishes which we thought was unusual for a Sat. Evening.
However our waitress was proactive and offered different combinations for our vegetarian nuisance.
Overall very good and would definitely recommend.

we drove over from Derbyshire to find something a little different ,the online menu looked good so we booked a table with some friends. however, on arrival the menu was very poor, only one special and about six choices on the main menu. Having said that, the food we had was very good and the staff were pleasant, but overall a little disappointed.

Booked after seeing menu online which had a variety of vegetarian meals but we were informed that this is and the a la carte menu is not available on Sundays but this is not mentioned on website . The Sunday menu was roast dinners burgers and wraps
Vegetarian option was poor as soup of the day and vegetarian option both sweet potato! Food itself was okay but had to promatch waitress for sweet menu after waiting a long time. Only three choices left plus ice cream so went without
Disappointed overall as menu online looks great.

We really like The Bridge but on this occasion we were a little disappointed. A number of items on the menu weren’t available and after I’d ordered a steak I was given a different cut to the one I ordered, even though that was offered as an alternative to the one on the menu! Having said that, we like the atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We felt sorry for the waitress who had to keep coming back to the table to tell us that what we ordered wasn’t available four or five times.

Stack night. Great value. The steaks were cooked just as we like them and were delicious. The side order of a pepper sauce was similarly good and , of course, because you can’t have a steak without them, the chips were good too.

Really disappointing! 2nd visit & second time to be told that 2 dishes on the menu were not available. Leaving a very limited choice. Beef was well done when medium was requested... No one came to take our dessert / coffee order. Restaurant was very quiet & not very atmospheric. So we paid & left. Which makes a 3rd visit very unlikely.

Great shame, nice pub but unfortunately cannot find anything good to say about the food. We had roast dinners, pork was ok but no stuffing or apple sauce, beef was very tough could hardly cut it. Both dinners were lukewarm with the roast potatoes so overdone that you had to scrape out the middle once you’d managed to break it open. The vegetables were of a good selection but all rock hard just blanched not cooked.
Overall for £12.95 each it was a great disappointment, we have now tried this pub twice for food as it is on the doorstep and each has been awful. There will not be a third time.
