The Britannia Richmond Ratings and Reviews
We had a fabulous time celebrating my birthday at the Britannia. The food for all of us was stunning and the staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. We were in the dining area upstairs, which was calm and comfortable where the downstairs was much busier as it was a rugby day.
This must be my favorite pub/restaurant in Richmond, always friendly and attentive.
I always look forward to going back and have never in the years had one bad experience or a negative comment to make..... oh.... also hurry up as the cheese souffle is to die for!!! :)
A very happy customer.
I love this place. Nestled down a cobbled side street it's an absolute hidden gem. The food is high quality and never disappoints, the service is always very attentive. This visit we waited a bit longer than usual between starters and mains (which wasn't a big deal) so we were offered a complimentary bottle of wine and our pregnant friend had a free desert. Lovely touch and a great evening overall.
Tool my boyfriend and his parents who were visiting from Germany here after walking in Richmond. We sat outside for a drink and then moved inside to eat. Service was very friendly, definitely not usual pub service. The food was delicious. We had sirloin, sea bream, chicken and fish and chips and everyone enjoyed the food. Would definitely come back
Had a late Sunday lunch with friends and on a warm day was plesently surprised to get a table on the small roof terrace at the rear of the pub. Food was absolutely excellent and whilst there was a small service issue, this was managed very well with resolution exceeding our expectations. Definitely recommend!
We researched before we travelled to Richmond and The Britannia was up there based on positive feedback received so we went for that and booked our table. We weren't disappointed as we ate outside (upstairs) and had an excellent meal, even using the three course meal deal. The staff serving were all very friendly and we would certainly use again if we are back in the area.
wonderful hidden gem hidden on a side street amongst the bustle of Richmond, with 'secret garden' and outdoor terrace that's perfect in sunshine (weather can't be guaranteed...). Excellent food (carpaccio, lamb and chocolate torte all recommended), very friendly service
