The Britannia Richmond
There’s isn’t a kids menu. Not a very child friendly menu. No fish and chips.
Had a fantastic roast drinks where good place lovely.
But what’s with the cheese board?????
Only thing is that, boarding poor that was. Small and cheeses wasn’t good.
Great spot for some post-Saturday shopping meal. Great Lobster and wine.
Great food and service. We ate in the garden which was very relaxing and had a great ambience
The food was very good, especially as it was a day when rugby was on so everyone was eating to a tight schedule.
A group of 9 of us went to the Britannia for the second year running for lunch on the day of the Rugby Premiership Final. It's a great place with plenty of outdoor space. What makes the biggest difference here is that, despite being packed out on a match day, the at-table service and food were great. We didn't have to move! The place is great but the staff make it fantastic. Thank you.
We had the set menu on a Friday night. Very nice atmosphere, food was delicious but service was slow.
It was a lovely evening ad we had a table on the terrace. The food was exceptional. Much more than typical "pub food. " Service was attentive even though they were busy.
We had a bit of trouble with food waiting times, but the staff were incredibly apologetic and generous with free wine and deserts to compensate. I would be happy to go back.
Excellent all round but rather expensive. Very very small serving of cabbage ordered as an side was £3.95. Otherwise very good and staff were briliant as they always are when I stop by here for a drink
Lovely relaxing afternoon
Looked after by our hosts, who were ready when anything was required
We all loved it and will be going back again
We had a lovely time at the Britannia. The appetizers we had were scrumptious and the desserts were homemade and quite delicious. It was a warm evening so we sat in their spacious and inviting garden. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back!
Outstanding food and lovely service in this unassuming little pub. Can’t believe I’ve never been before. Highly recommended
Lovely welcoming staff, great menu with good variety.
Very nice Sunday lunch. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
Lovely Sunday roast. Feels more like a restaurant rather then pub. Staffs are very friendly, approachable and yet attentive. Price is bit higher then average pub but quality of food is higher too. Looking forward to go back and try their other dishes.
Dom, the Manager, is most attentive to his customers. Staff are particularly friendly. Good food, nice wine and good ambience. Wonderful place for a Sunday roast lunch.
Probably, if they could stand the noise. Food is excellent for pub food but the service was quite slow. We weren't in any hurry but did start to wonder when we would be served. I think for what we had, it was quite expensive. We would probably go again but maybe during the week when not so noisy.
Lovely lunch - will definitely re-visit this venue
Great food. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
Lovely, tasty food and great service. I would definitely recommend!
Let's keep this short and sweet. Four of us went to The Brittania after completing a charity half marathon walk. All of us had a wonderful Sunday roast dinner and couldn't fault anything (food or service). We'd definitely return. 10/10.
Amazing Sunday lunch - 2nd time visiting and it didn’t disappoint. 5 star!
Always a warm welcome from Dom and his team accompanied with good food and wine and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it.
This was our second visit to this unique pub tucked in a little lane off the Richmond green. The pub looks like a regular joint but the food is good. The petite blond waitress is very friendly n efficient. We had starters of melon n steak, burratta salad, prawns n scallops. All very good. For mains we had duck, fish n Chips , steak n Pollock with potatoes. We had two glasses of Malbec. Overall it was a lovely evening out. Worth visiting again.
Great service and great food! Lovely Sunday lunch atmosphere!
Great food, attentive but not rushed or pushy service. Love this pub!
Great food, friendly staff - great atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good night out in a unfussy but excellent environment
Amazing in all respects
Dear Team, everything was lovely at britania.
Food was delicious, staff very friendly.
The only thing to improve, the service was a bit slow. But we enjoyed our meal and we will be definitely back.
Sunday lunch with partner. Me roast lamb, him crab starter and roast chicken, sticky toffee pudding shared. Bottle of Pinot Grigio at reasonable price. All excellent particularly roast potatoes that were actually crisp - an extinct species in my experience. We had asked upon booking to be seated on the roof terrace and a table had been reserved for us in this area. Despite the fact there was much busyness due to Easter bank holiday the service was excellent and we were under no pressure to vacate our table at the end of the meal. I'm a local but this is the first time i've been to The Britannia. It is my new favourite place.
Having lived in Richmond all our lives, we couldn’t believe we didn’t know about the Britannia. What a hidden gem. We had a table on the roof terrace which was perfect - as was everything else. The food was brilliant and we were spoilt despite it being busy. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back here again.
Lovely meal on the outside terrace, very peaceful setting and delicious food. Seafood; oysters, dressed carb and fish pie were delicious
excellent food and service - very pleasantly surprised great find..
Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. The food was good but not up to their usual standard. I’m not put off though because this place is usually excellent.
We eat at the Britannia frequently and the manager Dom is amazing always checking everything is tip top.
We went on Tuesday night and ordered food after getting a waitress attention one of our party ordered the fish pie We were told it would take a bit longer as this was 6:15 we weren’t worried I’d had it the week before and it came within 15 minutes All our food was ordered to come at once 40 minutes later it arrived after reminding the waitress
The fish and chips disappointing we have this virtually every month The batter was scorched the chips few were cold
The fish pie was the worst it was hard to find any fish in it and seemed to have been substituted for mushroom
Our guest was trying to be polite but I could see he was struggling
Such a shame from one of best pubs in Richmond
Staff went really above and beyond. The roast was amazing and the fixed menu is great value. Will definitely be returning.
Really good food to affordable prices. Ambience was cozy and comfy, but the noise level was very high
As always very good
