The Bull Brentwood
Always a very good standard and consistently good value
nice food and good service, we will return in the not too distant future...
We phoned to say we were running late for our booking, this caused no problem. The food we ordered arrived promptly and was delicious as did the drinks and desert. The ambience was very cosy and comfortable. We shall definitely return.
Great pub, food and service
Great food as always. The service was very good. Wound def recommend
Always a good experience at The Bull
Excellent as always, roast to be recommended, generous portions, attentive staff
Lovely food. Great service and a homely atmosphere.
Sloppy, apathetic service, customers packed in like sardines, noisey and uncomfortable. Food was okay but lacked finesse. I asked for parmasen cheese and instead of grated, was served shavings in a dish which speaks volumes. I've lived in brentwood for 35 years so familiar with the eateries in the area. This has been one of the worst experiences
No real problems. It was busy, so the service was a little slow, and it was a bit noisy but as a grandfather I cannot really complain about other people's children! Very good menu. Will come again.
Always a favourite! Always fantastic!
A delicious evening meal, well presented with impeccable service in a cosy setting. We will come back again!
We arrived late from a flight back Malaga and team at The Bull couldn’t of been more amazing to accommodate us. The food was delicious & the service was outstanding !
We have eaten here several times and the food and service has been very good every time. There is sometimes a bit of a wait between first and main course but the food is cooked freshly so we don't mind this at all. Much better than eating food that's been hanging around a while!
Great lunch, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Provided colouring bits for my 3 year old. Food was served quickly and was very nice. Only downside was the noisy table next to us but that's not the restaurants fault.
We went to the Bull for a get together with friends. Food was good but the noise from the bar area was horrendous. We couldn’t hear ourselves speak. Starting with recorded music and then switched to karaoke. Perhaps they should install doors to the restaurant area to keep the noise out. Unfortunately we will not be returning .
had a very good lunch at the bull my husband really erjoyed the liver and my steak pie was deliose
Food good service friendly very noisy as close to 2 noisy tables and side door open so lots of road noise
We have dined here a number of times, and despite the season, the food is always spot on and the service is impeccable. We attended on a Sunday evening and booked for 19:00. The restaurant was full as always, but not noisy. A perfect dining experience. Thank you The Bull.
We ate in the bar and from the bar menu. Food was tasty and there is a friendly atmosphere in the bar area. They have a more formal eating area, which we'd booked by mistake via open table. We switched to the bar as that was the menu we'd seen online. The formal dining area had a good selection and had we wanted a main meal we would have been interested in trying it. The pub has a childrens play area with plenty of sating outside. Also plenty of parking. We would recommend.
Food was piping hot and delicious, would recommend! Fantastic meal
There was a very disruptive child in there & it seemed to us that the family were not told about their screaming child, we had to leave early. The child was playing with one of the window lamps & again no staff member said anything.
Lovely relaxing setting. Good food (very generous portions). No complaints
Excellent food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Nice not to be rushed whilst eating. Worth a visit.
We have always had lovely food and great service. Staff are very welcoming and we have never been rushed. Definitely recommend.
Lovely restaurant with amazing service. Staff was very friendly and always had a smile on their face. Food was very nice and very well presented. Good value for money!
Excellent food & great value, I am disabled & only 1 disabled parking spaces could see, very uneven surface. Not really ideal for people with disabilities.
whilst the waiting staff were a bit eager to take our order at first, they were happy to return later. They were all very friendly. The food was really nice, and they catered for our request of the change in the vegetable options. My friend's coffee request was very much appreciated as well.
Overall a very nice mean out, that allowed us to have a catch up with nice food and drinks. we shall return at some point.
A really nice meal but bench seats a little uncomfortable. We kept sliding forwards. Other than that, it was very good.
Always a good lunch here. We visit with 2 crawling babies and the staff are very helpful. We sit in the garden after eating and the only problem is cigarette ash and butts customers leave on the ground despite ashtrays. A swing and slide frame for toddlers would be perfect....there's appears to be room.
Disappointed with our night out here on Sunday. I've been trying to get a table here for a while as I had heard really good reviews about the Sunday lunch/dinner. We've eaten here before several times but only once in the restaurant for Saturday lunch.
All of our starters were fantastic, the Roast was good and in general I can't fault the service. However a couple of the waitresses were really miserable!! Moody waitresses can ruin then entire ambience of the evening and one of them didn't crack a smile once . If you don't like working with the public then find another job!
I visit the Bull regularly and service was great but we all had a roast and the portion was surprisingly small, lovely but small.
Very impressed - lovely meal - huge portions
Loved the atmosphere of bar. Four in our party 3 had roast dinner. Not very nice and not a lot of it 2 had beef 1 chicken roast. 1 had fish and chips looked and tasted very nice. Shame as was looking forward to a lovely roast dinner. Wouldn't have the roast again as 1 batter 1 slice beef 3 roast potatoes (undercooked and hard carrots. Lots of green stuff and gravey far to thick.
Popped in for early dinner on a Saturday. Managed to get a table before the evening rush. Had a starter and a main each. Quite large portions, so no room for dessert.
This pub was ok, good points are gluten free menu, good parking, reasonable prices, mediocre food.
Bad points, very noisy, lack of staffs attention. When parking there during the week you need to tell bar staff your car reg.
Lovely food, excellent service and pleasant environment.
Very good food in pleasant surroundings. Service was friendly and we weren’t rushed. As I have been following a diet I would have liked a few lighter options especially for dessert as most were laden with calories - but delicious.
We had lunch the pies were sumptuous vegetables crunchy served piping hot
I was really disappointed with this place.
I didn't feel the service was that good.
The food was ok and not as nice as it read on paper.
I did feel that the price for the meal was very reasonable.
