The Bull Brentwood
For a venue that serves a la carté I was slightly dissapointed, the service was great but unfortunately as good as the presentation was (and it was amazing) i didn't feel the flavour wasn't enough, this was with both mine and my partners meals.
The starters and desserts was excellent I have no complaints here.
Made for a very enjoyable evening with friends. Looking forward to going back
Great service great food good value
Excellent in every department
Had such a good evening with friends here. Service was excellent as was the food. The gluten free menu is very impressive. Will definitely return!
Very very busy service great a few too many screaming kids that ruined it
Very attentive and welcoming staff ....had a get together for my mum and 10 others and the staff couldn't do enough for us ....Will highly recommend it to others ....all the meals looked n tasted fantastic ...we had no complaints wotsover...
We had a very enjoyable girls lunch at The Bull. We have visited several times with small and large groups of friends. The food is delicious and the portions very generous. The staff were helpful and friendly and we will be back soon.
Been here lots of times before as we love it, food great, usually the staff are wonderful, chatty and friendly. I have food allergies and have always had the veggie burger, 4 times now I think and was excited for my 5th, travelling down from Colchester to meet friends.
The waitresses were pleasant enough, but my veggie burger was so chargrilled it tasted really burnt and not nice. My friend's meals were wonderful as always I must add.
They swapped the veggie burger for another one which was even more burnt at which point the manager came over.
Not sure if he is new, as not seen him before, but he certainly needs some training on how not to make the customer feel like they are totally in the wrong, the biggest burden ever and that they are stupid. I appreciate how they make a fresh veggie burger and have to cook it in order for it to be binded together. However the other 4 times we had visited, the veggie burger was delicious, not burnt in the slightest. He did get me something else, and lots of it which I appreciated but couldn't finish and didn't charge for it which again I was grateful for. But the whole experience how he initially handled it really put us off going back.
I’m always confident at The Bull that I won’t be accidentally poisoned by gluten. Their gluten-free menu is comprehensive. Food is lovely, I can recommend the salmon and the battered cod. And the honeycomb sundae is yummy! Our food took a long while to arrive but otherwise the service was excellent.
Always fantastic Food & service. . Nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to returning soon.
Great pub food of a higher level than most pubs, good atmosphere in pub as well.
It was our first visit to The Bull and we weren't disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, served quickly and efficiently. Staff were very attentive. We'd definitely return!
One slightly negative comment - it was a bitterly cold evening and the restaurant felt a bit chilly. The girls on the table next to ours all had their coats on throughout! One of our party had to resort to the same to stay warm enough.
One suggestion for the future: could you stock some slightly different non-alcohol drinks e.g. Belvoir, BottleGreen, Fentiman's to name a few. It's really nice to be able to have a slightly more interesting soft drink than just fruit juice or lemonade. We'd spend more then, as well!
Our third visit with friends for Sunday lunch. Food and service have been consistently good and the staff are friendly and efficient. Warm ambience.
Very enjoyable evening, lovely food friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. Will definitely be returning again
Met friends and had a good food. Can't ask for more. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend.
Lovely and warm welcome on a cold night polite and friendly staff good service good food what more could you want
Would recommend? But Sunday roast beef and lamb, cut wafer thin and dry,Everything else good, Just would not order Sunday roast again.Four people had roast out of six all said the same thin and dry.Menu stated Sirloin of beef and Salt marsh of lamb . Did not taste like it. Other two meals fine and starters okay.
Excellent Sunday dinner, good roast potatoes, excellent gravy and meat but a little lacking on cheese sauce on the cauliflower cheese ! Great service Thanks !
We found the service very good, as well as the menu options and prices for two or three courses. the only disadvantage is that the portion sizes are too big and 50% of our party found the bench seating uncomfortable. The bench seating is an option on all tables.
Enjoyed a lovely meal and good wine. Food was amazing very well cooked and different.
Have been to The Bull in several occasions now and have never been disappointed
Good food and friendly staff. Will definitely return!
The food is always lovely in there. It's a set menu on a Sunday with either a 2 or 3 course meal, both good value for money. You can get gluten free meals too.
The only thing with this visit was the staff forgetting simple things we asked for like water & condiments, had to request twice.
This has got to be my favorite 'go to' restaurant in Brentwood by far, great gluten free options, lovely surroundings, attentative waiting staff are helpful and friendly.
This was the second visit to the bull having been introduced by a friend some time a go.
Decided to go back and was not disappointed the service, food , ambiance was excellent as good as I remembered it had a lovely evening at a table near to the open fire.
Food is always good, they have a vegetarian menu as well. Location not far from M25 means it’s a good place to meet up.
Very enjoyable meal - catered for a fussy vegetarian very well - would recommend
This is our first time and we were very pleased with everything , food was great and plentiful.
Another excellent meal at The Bull. Not cheap but excellent food and good sized portions. Recommend Chicken Liver Parfait, Chicken Supreme, pork belly, and if you can fit it in rocky road sundae and Eton mess.
Good quick service too.
Great food and service as always, would def recommend The Bull.
Went earlier on a Friday evening, great time to go, not too noisy.
The food was delicious and we all had a great meal.
First visit and probably not my last. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Food good value but could have been better quality.
Disappointed by the food this time. Roast was average and Eaton Mess in a jar was a bad idea
Good food but it was very busy and noisy. Not enough staff- the girls did their best but the demand was too great.
Great evening at a lovely village vibe pub food was great portions too big for me travelled from Birmingham with my family for a few days would defo recommend
The Bar staff that served me need to be happy if not change jobs. restaurant staff were good.
Food not that great choice for me.
Food here is great but maybe portions are a little large as it doesn’t leave space for pudding. Service felt a little rushed
Food was out of this world. Great staff. Very lively as it was Christmas time. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be a regular for me.
Always busy, so book ahead. Helpful staff. Could have more vegetarian options. Big but very tasty fish & chips
Thourghly enjoyed our evening, food so tasty good friendly service perfect evening out.
We had two tables booked for lunch (13 adults) the service was excellent and the food was to die for.
