The Cedar Restaurant & Bar
Second time here with a large group, and the staff are always very welcoming. We came here both times because of vegans in our group, and everyone was satisfied with their food.
I really like this place. Great value and great food. We go there ate least once every 2 weeks.
The food was good and a member of staff made special efforts to cater for a vegan diet.
Very friendly staff, and the food came out in waves, which was nice.
No cocktails available as the cocktail barman doesn't work until 6pm, but that didn't ruin the meal!
The bill felt a little high, but I can't complain about the quality of the food.
Great food, amazing services and reasonable prices! Would definitely visit again :)
Very disappointing. Having booked early in week, we were given a very poorly situated table where we were disturbed by waiting staff going to and from kitchen. Food was not good - chicken dry. No salad with main meal. The pastry on the starter was flabby and unpleasant. We will not return nor recommend to anybody.
Always good food at The Cedar!
Thank you, we will be returning again.
Food was good - service bit slow as was busy and very hot - would go back there
Such delicious food and excellent value. Highly recommend the eggplant with chickpeas - mind-blowingly good, and excellent for vegan friends. Atmosphere is a little crowded and noisy - they're very busy and want to turn the tables over, but they're polite about it. Just don't expect to linger!
We’ve dined at Cedar before and found that it was open later than other restaurants in the area on Sundays. The food was good though we felt it was more tasty the last time we were there. The service was good and the staff are friendly and helpful.
All of us really enjoyed our meal, the serving sizes were larger than expected
Amazing food- authentic too. Our fourth time and can’t wait to go again.
One of my favourite places to eat in London. The food is always delicious and never expensive.
Food was cold service poor drove 1hour to the restaurant very dissapointed
Absolutely delicious meal at The Cedar restaurant. First time and really fresh and lovely food. Not rushed at all during our meal, very attentive but non intrusive service which is hard to accomplish. Would love to return again.
Great underappreciated restaurant in west hampstead.
Lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff.
Starters were good but the main course was exceedingly salty & I couldn’t eat it. The manager did kindly change the meal for us but the replacement was only marginally less salty
Comment to the chef! Don’t be so heavy handed with the seasoning!!
Tuesday evening, so not so busy..... great menu, dozens of dishes to choose from, hot and cold mezze as well as serious mains. Wine list was good - any pace with a Chateau Mosur gets a thumbs up from me! Staff were a little cool but reasonably efficient. My companion and I left happy and satisfied - about £80.
Great food as always, service is friendly and attentive. Recommended.
Good service good food
Best restaurant in West Hampstead (sadly, that is not saying a huge amount), but this is the only ONLY local restaurant that you could describe as "top quartile" in its genre by wider London standards.
The quality of food is in line with the standard you'd expect on Edgware Road. Salads and mezze are very fresh, service is extremely friendly, restaurant décor is traditional rather than hipster - just alocal joint. Thank god for Cedar!
Amazing food and lovely staff :) great for any sort of occasion
We all really enjoyed the food, and our waitress helped us with how many dishes to have for our group size
Lots of noisy small children at 7.30 pm. Also had to sit in my coat as all the doors were open and it wasn't hat warm.
Was a great lebanesse feast.
We had meze for four people so you get bread, humous, falafel, salad, pickles, olives, tabolueh, hallouimi
You are already stuffed by then and then the main comes out and your mouth drops. Big portions, good selection, tender meat and good dishes.
Everyone went home happy!
Service was great and the wine was divine, great atmosphere!
Booked a table for Mothers Day. The food was delicious and plentiful, all served with a smile. House wine delicious Lebanese white. Can't wait to go again.
The food at Cedar is always very good, very big portions and great value for money with very friendly staff who remember you. We had one complaint on Sunday as we ordered the special desert and it did not come. The staff took it off the bill with no complaint. Very good local restaurant for me.
Definitely amazing lebanese food here at Cedar. Until now the best I have ever tried in London. Nice and cozy place, the food is delicious and perfectly cooked. As starter go with the traditional ones, like hummous, halloumi cheese and falafel. As main you have a very good choice..I choosed the skewers of lamb and chicken! Fantastic. And then is also definitely not expensive and this is also a great news. Recomended!
Booked a table for three for New Years and turned up to find out the restaurant was shut for a private function. Not happy. 😡
Seems to be authentic middle eastern food with fresh hot food very well cooked. Service far too speedy but excellent value.
Great Lebanese food at outstanding value as always at the Cedar.
Excellent authentic Lebanese food in west Hampstead high street with good selection of Lebanese wine you won't find in th supermarket
everything is good. only issue is that the food is way too salty. but overall its good
Good food from a reasonably varied menu, great service and good value for money. Alas, both appetisers, starters and mains were all heavily salted which resulted in my wasting most of my food, as somebody who tries to eliminate as much as possible salt from my diet . The portions were also rather too large for my appetite.
pleasant atmosphere and warm welcome. The food come in huge portuions. The mezes were very nice.Thank we ordered chicken shawarma, which-although nice and lemony-was lacking the barbeque flavour that is so caracteristic of it.The service was very attentive thoughout the meal. Not outstanding, but nice food at an ok price.
We booked a last minute Saturday lunch at The Cedar Restaurant. It was very quiet when we arrived but gradually filled up with people coming in for a late lunch. We shared a selection of hot and cold mezes which were all very tasty, and nice bread to accompany. The tabouleh was bit heavy on the parsley. Some interesting dishes on the menu but we stuck to classic sharmas which were fine but not that exciting. We'll be more adventurous next time!
Food was really great! Excellent value for money: lots of food at a reasonable price! I definitely recommend it
