The Coach House at Middleton Lodge
In the evening, sip one of the seasonal cocktails or craft ales at the bar, with cool sounds and a laid back atmosphere. Followed by a visit to the relaxed restaurant, with original features dating back to the 18th-century Georgian carriage house.
For those looking for an intimate party, the Private Dining Room can host up to 20 guests, and is located just off from the main Restaurant.
After dinner, take a visit to the snug, cosy up by the fire in the restored chesterfield armchairs and order your favourite night-cap.

Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow, but very polite and helpful servers. Our only complaint is that the menus were very difficult to read. The typeface was grey on a parchment colour paper, which was almost impossible to read in a dim light.
Not such a good lunchtime menu as at end of April. Some prices ie artichoke and crab starter very overpriced as was chocolate bread and butter pudding
Really liked the outdoor ambiance would visit again
Fantastic Lunch at Middleton Lodge yesterday… Everything was lovely… would definitely recommend and will see you again soon.
Lovely birthday lunch for my husband!
Delicious food and drinks!
An amazing Lunch on the terrace but under flexible cover, well ventilated. The food was eclectic very locally based and great use of vegetables and herb grown in the Middleton Lodge gardens. Most outstanding was Gazpacho with Watermelon and herbs. Also fantastic was Halibut with mussels and a smoked mussel jus.
Service was perfect and I recognised many of the young and energetic staff who had clearly been retained. Well done to management.
Fabulous food, wine and service what more can I say !!!
Lovely food and drinks. The atmosphere was great really and the staff were very helpful and efficient.
A little pricey but overall a lovely experience.
Great atmosphere, really good foot and very helpful staff
Another wonderful meal here - lunch to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We had a lovely, secluded table in the sunshine. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive. The buildings at Middleton Lodge have been beautifully restored and it's one of my favourite places to be.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening with good food, attentive and friendly staff in a safe and stunning location.
Good food, great setting will definitely be back.
Exceptional fare once again. Had to send props to Jake Jones in the kitchen who sent out cuisine of the highest order. Highly, highly reccomended
This visit was to take a former colleague and friend for lunch. We were impressed with the way that the Civid precautions wee carried out without intruding on the ambience and excellent service. The food we had was cooked to perfection and presented well. It was a perfect summer’s lunch, relaxed and unhurried.
I personally found the service on the slow side of being laid back
I also -possibly because we were seated near a speaker found the choice of music and noise level intrusive
The food was good but the service needs to be better
Lovely relaxing meal fir both our birthdays. Great food, service and overall ambience.
A very pleasant experience with friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely surroundings with nice food and drinks and looking forward to returning to the venue
Lovely setting , delicious breakfast and attentive staff.
Great atmosphere, wonderful food and very attentive staff
Fantastic food, front of house manager sorted a small issue with a food order very efficiently. Have been several times and it’s always been a special meal with great service. Thank you
Definitely read the menu before you go! Always changes and we were very disappointed. Food was not great
This was my first Sunday Lunch at ML for well over a year. It was all top notch. Delicious mackerel pate, succulent and perfectly cooked pork accompanied by a lovely Yorkshire Pudding and an amazing selection of vegetables and followed by an exquisite rhubarb trifle. Quality wine at good prices. Usual first class service - an absolute delight! Thank you ML!
Food was very nice, staff were friendly service was slow.
Had an exceptional lunch. Service and food was outstanding Sat outside under an open marquee which was very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Excellent venue, service and lovely food. Slightly overly expensive cocktails but worth it for a treat
Fantastic breakfast outside. At £12, the full continental breakfast represented value for money, with 3 lovely dishes, a pot of coffee and a fruit juice. Sitting outside in the sunshine in such beautiful surroundings was a massive plus. Thanks a lot.
Excellent food especially Sunday lunch , service excellent that’s why we go back .
Setting and staff wonderful. Some dishes we ordered were fantastic and a few were not. Overall as a dining experience, it was very pleasant
Gorgeous food, the usual friendly and efficient service and a lovely setting. Always a treat.
We dined outside for our wedding anniversary with our daughter - the food and service were outstanding
Interesting menu format with lots of vegetarian options! Everything we ate was delicious and we had prompt service
Good food with the veg given as much thought and care as the main feature. The smoky potato mash was a real treat. In a lovely courtyard setting we got outstanding value and a very tempting menu which will ensure a return visit.
I feel the menu is over fussy and over described. trying too hard too be different . My recent meal was small and not tasty I had to ask for a dressing the carrot puree provided did not help the salad be any more palatable . the chips were not browned or crisp. The pear and almond tart was dry only helped by the ice cream.
I feel the quality of the food is mediocre and over priced for what is provided.
The atmosphere and surroundings of the restaurant are very nice and the staff helpful and pleasant however the food needs to improve.
Fillet steak was expensive at over £30 with sides not included. Food was very good. Outside heaters worked well but gas not replaced when they stopped working and quickly turned cold. Deserts were excellent if again a bit pricey £7 would have been more acceptable than £8 plus. Staff were very helpful and professional.
Beautiful courtyard setting, well thought out and prepared dishes and friendly service.
Everything about this meal was superb, from the outdoor setting under a huge awning with heaters, beautiful grounds, excellent service without being in-your-face, great wine advice, fabulous menu and most of all delicious food. Wonderful - couldn’t fault it, so much so we went back the night after and it was just as good.
First time dining here since before COVID 19 lockdown and although it was in covered heated outside area was lovely to be back to eat at this beautiful venue. The food from the Sunday Lunch menu was up to usual standard and delicious with tasty fresh vegetables. The prices have inevitably risen quite a lot and is not cheap but for a special occasion worth that little extra. Felt like the lockdown was in the past despite the expected restrictions and summer was round the corner along with a feeling of normality
Thank you so much for being accommodating to us. Being vegetarian, we felt quite disheartened when all we could have was a curry or a roast without a main event. But the staff went above and beyond and the mushroom burgers we had were absolutely delicious. We love coming here as it is beautiful and the staff are always SO pleasant.
Very enjoyable experience. Food excellent, staff friendly and efficient. Setting great, despite the weather. Area well covered and plenty of heaters keeping temperature very pleasant. Will definitely be coming back, even better now we can dine inside.
Beautiful setting relaxed atmosphere. The food was amazing as always and service second to none
