Nestled in the heart of Morden The Cock and Bottle is steeped in tradition. With parts of the pub dating back some 400 years, we offer all the charms of an "olde-worlde" Dorset village inn. Our reputation is enhanced by being named regional winners for the best food pub for the last three years by Hall & Woodhouse.
The Cock and Bottle is one of the best places around to enjoy hearty food at its best. John, the chef is renowned for his cuisine and has worked tirelessly to produce a menu that caters for all tastes. His ever changing menu reflects the fresh game and fish available each day, and covers everything from lamb shank to steak and kidney suet pudding, rabbit pie to chicken curry, which is made to john"s own recipe. For fish lovers there are a number of dishes, including sea-bass, haddock, salmon and skate wing. To finish off why not try one of our homemade desserts. The pub also offers an extensive and varied range of real ales and wines.

Went for Saturday lunch with friends and found the restaurant relatively quiet despite two family birthday parties so no difficulty talking to each other. We had a nice table, near a window so enjoyed a view over the fields and hill with cows. It was quite an extensive menu with a good selection of starters and mains including game and fish. Everybody was pleased with their meals including steak pie, and scallops. My venison wellington was superb and the vegetables were good too. We didn't have a starter or dessert, but what we had we enjoyed very much.

Lovely quiet little pub. Not been for many years. Well worth the visit. Really tasty food. All prepared to order from fresh local ingredients. All food we had was severed hot. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff too and plenty of parking. One of Dorset hidden gems!

We had a very good welcome and were shown to a nice table, ready prepared. The food was good, as was the wine but sadly we felt as though we were slightly in the way rather too quickly.

We recently visited the Cock and Bottle and thoroughly enjoyed our freshly cooked meals, baked sea bass and chicken curry (and a sneaky little dessert to follow). We eat out most weeks and have to say it was up there with the very best of local Dorset pubs, definitely worth a visit. Hope you enjoy it as much we did.

Great value and can understand why the Cock and Bottle is one of the top 10 pubs in Dorset. The food is excellent and well presented.
I would have no issues to recommend this pub to family and friends.
