The Colony Grill Room Ratings and Reviews
Recommended by a friend, the Colony Grill Room is part of the art deco Beaumont Hotel, very 30's, atmospheric, nice clientele, great bar for pre-dinner drinks, great food (the Middlewhite pork chop was delicious) good wine list. Worth a visit and I wil return at some point. Excellent.
Celebrating a special occasion with my daughters and so glad I chose the Colony Grill. Great menu with something to please everyone. Highlights were the crab starter, the Macaroni cheese and the Veal chop. Excellent service and very relaxed atmosphere. Next time in London, we will definitely be back to try more of the extensive menu. Thank you for a really lovely evening.
Chris Corbin and Jeremy King have with their team created a magnificent dining experience. The Colony Grill is a “cool looking “ dining room. Terrific classic and some contemporary dishes served with elegance and professionalism that’s so often missing in many restaurants today.
Corbin and King never fail to deliver. Cannot wait to go back again.
I’ve been many time for various occasions to the Colony Grill and has never been disappointing in fact quite the opposite😊 always familiar pleasant staff wich is always a good sign in any catering establishment as the turnover in staff tends to be high and especially in a big City.
Does have the American grill room feel with the food to match. My better half had a large portion of dover sole which was the best she has had. My sea bass was very good. Wine selection is reasonable. Will definitely come back to sample the other selections (pot pie and shepherds pie). Service very accomodating. They moved us away from a noisy family table.
Beautiful art-deco surroundings. Romantically lit and authentic cocktails and all make this restaurant/bar a special place for a night out. Grilled lobster & chips was fantastic - not over cooked and calves liver & bacon cooked perfectly. Service was great and no fuss when we asked to move to a less draughty table.
Will certainly return and recommend.
My Wife and I were in London for a few days and we dined at the Colony Grill Room on our first evening. We loved everything about it. The service was friendly but not intrusive. We had drinks while we looked at the Menu, which was extensive. Food was excellent, topped off with an Ice Cream Sundae for dessert, made to your specification. Will definitely recommend and return.
The Colony Grill Room continues to deliver on many levels. A bustling hot spot, where everyone feels like a celebrity. The unique atmosphere makes you feel as if you're stepping back in time - a supper club from NYC in the 1940s. But, the recipes are relevant and delicious. I'd come from miles to enjoy that Shepherd's Pie. Exceptional. I'll be back...
Good food in excellent surroundings. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. The menu was varied and catered for all tastes. However (and perhaps this just my lack of fine dining knowledge) the menu did confuse me in layout and content. When I saw a section for eggs cooked in various ways I thought I was looking at a breakfast menu, and shepherds pie as an entrée? This did not distract from an impressive dining experience.
Cocktails in a booth in the bar area then to our table for shared eating - oysters followed by a rare T-bone. Pushed the boat out for a bottle of Nuits St Georges which was expensive but part of recreating old memories and creating new ones. All delicious, service friendly and spot-on, ambience great. Would go there again for a special occasion.
My wife and I were in London for a couple of nights and happened to find The Colony Grill Room. We could not have been happier with our entire experience! The decor, ambiance, staff (especially Manueles), dinner and Bananas Foster made tableside were fantastic. We highly recommend the Colony Grill Room.
This is by far my favorite spot in London.
I keep coming back over and over again and it never fails to meet all expectations.
This particular visit for Breakfast was just exceptional. I couldn't fault it in any way and I left already looking forward to my next visit.
Thanks again for a fantastic experience, as always.
This is such a great place to sit down in a relaxed, sophisticated atmosphere and enjoy your food. Everything was bang on perfect. We loved tuna tartare as well as smoked haddock hash. To follow we had liver and bacon, pork chop and Kenny's meatloaf with Madeira. The room has perfect atmosphere and acoustics for conversation to flow. The service as always was immaculate; prefect combination of friendliness yet unobtrusive.
In the middle of busy West-End, just a minute from Selfridges, this ia a calm oasis of perfection.
We will return.
