Our Sommeliers are proposing to take you on an exploratory trip during dinner, with the aim of introducing you to new or perhaps unfamiliar grape sensations. For £50 per head, they will be offering a flight of four wines blind, classics as well as more surprising choices, chosen to match your taste preferences as well as the dishes ordered. Available for tables of up to four guests, each guest can be offered a different selection of four wines. All will be revealed at the end of the meal. They food is very good except when the menu says per 100 grams for the Tomahawk the restaurant should have some smaller size for 2 people. We are both over 70s and could not finish 1.2 kilo between us. Just as well we cancel our orders for the starters.

A relatively limited menu but very well executed. My cured sea bass starter was delicious and the fillet steak was excellent. Service attentive and just the right mix of friendly with unobtrusive. Fairly expensive, but worth it!

One of my favourite restauarants, great club rom setting, attentive and helpful service but relatively empty and so lacking any atmosphere. Did not find the menu easy to choose from with some dishes too complex. Of the four of us, starters were all good but two main courses lacked something. Overall it was sterile and needs to add back its buzz.

The food was delicious. The staff particularly a lady in white coat was complaining to another colleague right next to us and then carried on to another guest for a full 20 minutes. We were eating breakfast and honestly couldn't wait until she closed her mouth. Service was spotty - however the front door staff valet and concierge team were absolutely the BEST!

Being a regular to the Colony Grill and having visited a numerous times before this time around it seems a lot of things have changed. It seems that staff has been completly exchanged and the restaurant now relies heavily on agency workers, service was pretty slow, wrong dishes being brought in or drinks being served which belonged to other tables. The kind and top notch service from before has gone missing.

Since we last visited the menu has changed significantly. We loved the old colony grill menus and found the new menu with far less choice and sadly the majority of items were not ones we would eat. For a special occasion this I probably remains a good place to go but the price point is now quite high .

Pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Attentive service. Good wine selection and expert wine advice. However the steak - the centrepiece of the evening - lacked flavour, as did the chips. The meat didn’t taste grilled. And one pays a lot for everything.

Great place for a special occasion or just a very nice meal; really good ambience, with a buzz; great room; excellent and plentiful staff; very good food; extensive and well-organised wine list - albeit more on the pricey side. Overall it was an excellent place for the occasion we were celebrating, but we'd happily come back if we were in the mood for a fancy evening with a very good meal in great surroundings, with excellent staff, etc. As a bonus there is piano bar in the ante-room to the restaurant and another really good, jazz themed cocktail bar along the lobby of the hotel which houses the Colony Grill.
