The Coriander - Vauxhall
This meal was lovely and the food and service was very good. Starter was a bit expensive but other then that all good.
Great food - as alwyas. Service is lovely and polite too. The only downside - the constant stream of Deliveroo drivers. Somehow it takes away from the relaxed atmosphere - guys in and out with helmets and huge backpacks.....I know that's the way t is these days - but still...it's not my idea of a lovely atmosphere.
Great curry. Lovely chicken tikka, saag Aloo and channa masala. Staff lovely too.
We are regular curry goers and makers. The Coriander is really really good. Unlike other places, the food is fresh, tasty and not swimming in oil.
Really very good
As always we had a really great meal and were looked after well by the staff. I went for my now go to dish here, the Lamb Noorjahani which was lovely. Great evening with friends with lovely food.
This was my retirement lunch for me to dine with my colleagues . Great place and great location to do that
They had so many takeaway orders for Deliveroo etc that we sat there waiting ages for our dinner. If they focused a little bit more on the people in the restaurant it would be better. We watched about 20 takeaways being done while sitting there waiting. Not good when you go to a restaurant
Really nice for the price
Card machine wasn’t working and the staff were not very helpfully in that regard.
Saturday night dinner at the Coriander followed the Oval test match, so the Coriander was full, but the service was very good, even allowing 2 more to join our original booking for 2. Good variety of food, with Bangladeshi and Nepalese specialties - wouldnt hesitate to return if in the area.
Food was top notch, service nice and quick, good ambience and great value for money. 2 with starters, mains and a beer for £45!
The food arrived piping hot, good naan, always a sign of a good kitchen, good lamb Dhansak, chicken tikka and vegetable side; wine list was fine and well priced, service efficient if a bit off-hand to start. A good meal.
My local, haven't been in a while and first time actually booking instead of just winging it. We always have the same meal and are welcomed like family. Bring back the slightly dangerous sizzling dish but apart from that great food and service.
It was the best Indian food I’ve ever had. We will be in London for three more days and I think we’ll go back!
This is a nice neighbourhood restaurant near Vauxhall underground. The style is Bangla Deshi. Service is excellent, friendly and efficient, and the food is good. Our party of 3 had lamb dishes and shared a peshwari, all of which were nicely cooked, appropriately spiced, and well presented. The choice of wines is predictably limited but the bottle of Malbec we ordered paired well with our food. Clearly, the restaurant is popular with locals and for good reasons.
If we visit the area again, we will look forward to returning to the Coriander.
We’ve been to Coriander a few times and the food is excellent and always is, lovely starters, curries are great and the rice and bread are the same. The service last night was poor, they were busy but that doesn’t excuse the abrupt greeting and rudeness on arrival. I stated clearly I had booked for 3 people but despite this was rushed to a table for two and abruptly told that’s all they had and they’d add a chair to the side of the small table. When I said I’d booked again they didn’t seem happy questioned the details and then brought another table to add on to make room. Almost felt like an inconvenience to them. A shame because the service is usually great too.
charging per table so no individual chare available. Need to get into the real world!!
Decent choice of menu with some unusual dishes. Everything I tasted was very nice. Good service and restaurant allowed me to bring forward our booking by an hour on the same day as the cricket. Highly recommended.
If you are down Vauxhall?Lambeth way this is perfect family Indian restaurant. Food is great, prices reasonable, staff efficient and polite. We went the last on a busy Friday night and some could not get in but bookable.
Very kind staff and very tasty food. Large portions.
Food & service was very good. Polite staff & good value for money. Toilets very clean. Only issue was our group (6 of us) were handed the bill without asking and we felt like we had stayed too long ( we was there just short of 3 hours). Regardless of this, the positives far outweighed the negative and we would all recommend to others.
Very good food. Potato and aubergine dish was yummy and nicely balanced.
We were pleasantly surprised by Coriander! The service was great and the food delicious. The photos online don't do it justice either, maybe it has been refurbished since taking them, but it's a nice place! Would highly recommend!
Amazing food. Will certainly be going back again. I like trying different Indian restaurants and this was one of the best and very reasonably priced.
I have been dining at the corriander for over 13 years. Without a doubt the best Indian food I have eaten in London. The service is great and I am never disappointed. My friends and family always share the same experience when I recommend the restaurant to them.
My wife and I were celebrating how wedding anniversary, although we had been here before the food was just the same expensive but good, having said that we will go back there in the future.
Been here several times and food always good, good value and nice atmosphere.
Service tonight below the usual standard - table booked but not available and requests for less spice in food order dismissed as not possible. Shame as good food as usual.
Great selection of authentic Indian dishes, staff are very friendly, great value. Highly recommend
Great Indian food
A classic neighbourhood Indian restaurant with good-value, well-spiced food and fast and friendly service.
Excellent food, promptly served. Great attitude from staff.
First visit and not sure what to expect, but the food was fantastic, very high quality an great portions. Definitely a step above the standard Indian restaurants in London. Well worth a visit
Fantastic find off the beaten tourist track when visiting London. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We had a spectacular meal. Our wait staff went out of his way to compose a balanced meal featuring the strength of their kitchen. Wow! We have not had a better Indian food anywhere. Staff was attentive, courteous, and appropriately prompt (to those reviews that complained about the length of time, for goodness sakes recognise that this is not McDonalds. You want your meal prepared correctly. Relax and enjoy yourself). Our evening was an incredible treat.
A nondescript-looking restaurant on an inauspicious street hides an impressive Indian, several cuts above the norm. Lovely food - try the Coriander Sizzler, sublime - attentive staff, charming, informative. Too good for the low prices. Go!!
Really nice food , found this place on OpenTable even doe it is only 10 mins from we're I live.
Will definitely try it again.
The Coriander is a very well established and welcome part of the Vauxhall scene, but if you're hungry be careful you don't go at busy times... like on a Saturday night. As you sit with drinks waiting for your food (for over an hour) you'll see delivery after delivery after delivery leaving the kitchen and passing by the customers patiently waiting in the restaurant. It seems telephone orders take much higher priority over people wanting to eat in the restaurant. Frustrating.
Coriander is my absolute favourite Indian restaurant. Amazing staff and a wonderful menu.
Best curry I have had in a while (6 months). From my experience this place is pretty solid performer each time I have gone over the last few years.
Catered for 10 of us... food good and service very accommodating.
Booked on the spur of the moment as we were close and in need of curry, what a lovely surprise for a inner city curry house! Food was outstanding with large portions (ordered too much!), great staff and perfect service. I'm going back soon, can't reccommend it enough.
