Baguette was awful. £9 for a chicken/chorizo tiny baguette. A few tiny chips. Bland, dry, unappealing but so hungry ate it. Absolute rip off, total waste of money!!!!

As usual an excellent lunch in The Crown. At this time of year they have an open fire, always nice as winter approaches. The place is COVID secure, but unlike most other places is warm inside. Warmth kills COVID virus, so this is good. The menu is excellent, and the coffee good. Efficient friendly service. Highly recommended

Sunday roast lunch. Food was nice and served quickly. Staff were polite but a bit overstretched. They were trying to welcome people at the door, show them to their tables and take orders all at the same time. Could have done with an extra pair of hands. Overall a nice experience. We’ll be back. Thanks

Excellent friendly service as always. The food was great too and we didn’t have to wait long despite most of the tables being occupied. We brought our one year old dog with us and we were made to feel very welcome with him and the staff all said hi which he loved! Also felt very safe with one way routes, all staff wore masks and the tables were safely distanced apart. Thanks for allowing us to have a “normal” and pleasant meal :)

Saddened that the team at this venue did not enforce their own rules about social distancing or hygiene standards.
Guests wondering around with facial coverings oblivious to the one way system, endangering

The pizza was the best I’ve had and the gluten free one my partner had was excellent. The brownie was delicious. Will definitely return.

We ate here twice over a few days stay in Woodstock. Generally the food is very tasty, and the service good. Our Sunday Roast was very tasty/generous as far as the meat was concerned, with nice veg, but cold yorkshires and a cold plate means we need to mark it down a notch. The whipped feta dish is gorgeous however.

We had a lovely lunch at The Crown in Woodstock. There was lots of space and social distancing was observed well. The staff were attentive and friendly too. The menu was limited to pizzas only (I was hoping for the salad that I'd seen online) but it was delicious so I was happy.

Nice place for a casual dinner with our 4 year old.
Food service was prompt and tasty. A little overpriced for basic pasta and pizza, but considering the affluent town it is based in, can justify these prices.

Nice decor and atmosphere. A lot of staff, keen to help. Puddings good value for money. We shared a main and two starters and they were happy to accommodate. Lots of space and it felt Covid safe.

I’m afraid we were disappointed. The service was poor. We waited 40mins for a drink and nobody asked us if we would like a pudding or another drink throughout the evening. It’s a pity.

Excellent staff, very attentive but not obsequious, very genuine.
Super food, reduced menu. Delicious , tasty, well presented and homely.
Covid aware and felt safe.
Just what we needed for our first outing out in 5 months.

Really good place for food, ambiance was wonderful, nice chilled out area and fairly spaced apart from other diners. Service could have been a lot better, we waited a whole hour after ordering for our bread and oil starter which is a ridiculously long amount of time. We were starving by this point. But the rest of the meal was good.

Great service and food! Price seemed a bit steep for lunch - two courses and two drinks £50. Added service charge as a given - would rather decide myself whether to tip or not.

We booked The Crown through My Table, having looked at the menu of what was on offer. However, there were no main courses being served on the day, except for pizzas. Maybe due to Covid 19 the menu was limited, but it needs to be highlighted when booking, to save other guests from being disappointed

Upsetting experience no organisation due to covid will not be returning. Only one way in and out of the pub queuing with people ordering food and drinks. On top of that put service charge on the bill when you are expected to order your own food and drinks. The food was actually very nice but need more organisation and more staff.
