Nice pub in Woodstock and you can bring your dog. On Sunday unfortunately choice only roasts or Pizza.

Food was lovely and the service was great, we also stayed at the inn and cannot wait to get back

Fabulous welcome. Had some dietary requirements which were easily satisfied. Had a problem with one meal which was tough but resolved immediately great ambiance

Good, was in the conservatory which was a bit soulless, the main bar with fair etc was much nicer. The food was ok, we had pizza which they did well. Service was good.

The premises are clean and comfortable. We sat beside an open fire. The staff were attentive and friendly. The lunchtime menu offers pizzas and sandwiches with vegetarian choices which I welcome.

Decided what we wanted only to be told we had been given wrong menu and half the items where not available. Ordered the lamb which was tough and chewy, not fall off the bone as described. Brought the wrong food out and was told the wings where not spicy but when they came they where far too hot given I have an allergy to chilli this was disappointing. Very slow service and wasn’t asked to check into the track and trace either which we felt was poor. Overall very disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend.

Food was OK and at a reasonable price but the evening was spoilt by the lack of compliance with Covid rules.

Great place for a group with children.
We visited the Crown with some friends, their young children (age 2 &5) and our teenage daughter. The atmosphere and décor is really nice, very comfortable and casual. This is a good place for a group to meet, especially of there are children present. The food and wine choice is good and of a high standard. The staff were attentive and service very good. We will definitely visit again and recommend.

We arrived early for our booking in the freezing cold with our children and the staff at the Crown were happy to find us a table by the fire. Food and service were delicious. Will definitely return.

Always enjoy The Crown and very good COVID precautions in place. The room was under heated and lacked in atmosphere. Excellent service and good pizza.

The pizza was wonderful and freshly cooked . My only comment is being presented with a bill with service charge added - a surprise as I didn’t think pubs did this and it was only a lunch - can’t remember seeing indication of this on the menu .

Baguette was awful. £9 for a chicken/chorizo tiny baguette. A few tiny chips. Bland, dry, unappealing but so hungry ate it. Absolute rip off, total waste of money!!!!

As usual an excellent lunch in The Crown. At this time of year they have an open fire, always nice as winter approaches. The place is COVID secure, but unlike most other places is warm inside. Warmth kills COVID virus, so this is good. The menu is excellent, and the coffee good. Efficient friendly service. Highly recommended

Sunday roast lunch. Food was nice and served quickly. Staff were polite but a bit overstretched. They were trying to welcome people at the door, show them to their tables and take orders all at the same time. Could have done with an extra pair of hands. Overall a nice experience. We’ll be back. Excellent friendly service as always. The food was great too and we didn’t have to wait long despite most of the tables being occupied. We brought our one year old dog with us and we were made to feel very welcome with him and the staff all said hi which he loved! Also felt very safe with one way routes, all staff wore masks and the tables were safely distanced apart. Thanks for allowing us to have a “normal” and pleasant meal :)

What a good visit, the booking, arrival and the meal were really good. The staff were so friendly and helpful and fully observed all of the pandemic guidelines...well done to you all.

The pizza was the best I’ve had and the gluten free one my partner had was excellent. The brownie was delicious. Will definitely return.

Lovely room out the back where we were sat for lunch, good pizza and nice atmosphere. Really easy to book online and the tables felt nicely spread out. Would return!

We ate here twice over a few days stay in Woodstock. Generally the food is very tasty, and the service good. Our Sunday Roast was very tasty/generous as far as the meat was concerned, with nice veg, but cold yorkshires and a cold plate means we need to mark it down a notch. The whipped feta dish is gorgeous however.

Food was good but the venue didn't feel particularly Covid secure.
