Lovey dinner with friends. The staff were very accommodating considering the different allergies two of us had. Will definitely be back.
Had lunch with my dad today. First visit to The Dairy despite wanting to go for months. It was lovely in every way! The service was a little slow at the start of the meal, but that was rectified pretty swiftly. The food was interesting, delicious and well presented. The Bellini was a real treat and I made it last. A really special Friday lunch. I will return!
Always a pleasure to come here. Staff are wonderful - welcoming and helpful.
We did the tasting menu which is great value and a delicious variety of dishes. Will be back!
First time here, that was amazing.
Great sunday brunch, tasty and well presented food.
The food and service were both excellent, as they have been on all of our three visits to the Dairy. The chestnut and wild mushroom pasta was particularly memorable.
Sadly, on this occasion, our evening was slightly marred by a group of loud and drunk men at the next table who had apparently come in for drinks, having been thrown out of a nearby pub. I might suggest that the Dairy changes its policy on taking walk-ins for drinks only.
Our evening would have been further improved by the addition of a spring closer to the door as at least half of the patrons coming and going did not close the door behind them. This, combined with the cold, the wind, and our proximity to the door, left us wishing that we had worn warmer clothes to dinner!
Great food. Slow service. Good vibz. Lamb sunday roast was exquisite.
Absolutely fantastic meal. Service exceptional, food delicious. The wine list was decent as well. Dodgy playlist on the speakers: death metal followed by disco. Would recommend to a friend.
The food is perfectly cooked and presented, full of flavour and with the wine pairing makes a great dining experience.
Booked table for 3 yesterday. Table not prepared when we arrived. Put at very small table. Tried to move table but that proved an issue for staff. Incredibly rude waiter... had to ask to order drink. Food was ok but menu lacking. Staff didn’t check on us to see whether meal was satisfactory. Would not recommend given rudeness of staff which let the place down. Style over substance!
Staff weren't great. Very slow
Food was outstanding, we went on a Sunday so they have the set menu which we weren't too sure about at first but everything tasted amazing and it was lovely to try bits you wouldn't usually order. Staff were really accommodating too - we didn't have very long as we didn't want to miss the rugby and they made sure we were out on time.
I will definitely be coming back again soon!
A fantastic experience from start to finish.
The restaurant is in a great location overlooking Clapham Common and just moment from the tube.
It’s a cosy and welcoming space with an open kitchen and slightly rustic feel.
The service is friendly and relaxed but also very attentive without being overbearing.
They helped us understand the menu and make our choices, there’s a great drinks list too...we chose from the main menu and the food was just wonderful.
Three savoury courses (they are slightly smaller plates) exploding with flavours and textures. We wanted to lick all of our plates clean!
There were lots of small touches too, little freebies here and there, some terrific sour-dough bread at the start, a really nice low-alcohol beer available too.
We will absolutely be back. This is great for a posh supper, a date night or anniversary or just a get together with friends over food prepared with love and care. And it didn’t break the bank!
Went for brunch, which was great in terms of the food. I have been before and not sure why but the waiters/waitresses were far less attentive than before. They missed an item on the order and added an extra meal. Wouldn't usually be an issue but they weren't overly friendly about it despite it not being our fault.
Dinner was lovely, with a great amuse bouche and happy birthday plate on the house! The food is exceptional and exciting to have lots of small plates. It would’ve been nice to have some music in the background. ☺️
Michelin level food at gastropub prices. Lovely team take great pride in their fare and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend.
Brilliant food and service. Fantastically high standards without being pretentious. Perfect!
Great food and service. We’d love to come back for the tasting menu
Great food. Not great service! Our table was in the corner and once we had finished our food, the plates were not collected for ages.
Awful service. We were kicked off our table as soon as the bill was paid (they told us we had to pay the bill right that moment) even with wine left.
They forgot wine for certain courses and generally weren’t good waiters.
Food was nice, but not exceptional. There are much better options out there for tasting menus.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. We went for the set lunch menu - the duck hearts and venison were amazing, as was the tonka bean panna cotta, the only thing that was slightly disappointing was the chicken raviolo. Service was good although they did bring us the wrong course by accident - fully apologetic and offered us a free drink to compensate. Great value for money overall.
All very nice. Fully priced so not a bargain, but that was probably our choice due to set menu and good wine!
Excellent food on every single course. Just delicious.
Not overpriced (especially given the quality as mentioned), but I suppose it's not outstanding value for money.
Worth a try. Slightly overpriced but just as most food places in London with an atmosphere. The food took to long to arrive but in general service was good.
This was a treat lunch-the food was generally lovely, with a few ingredient substitutions we weren’t told about. However the service was lacking, which does sort of ruin it. The staff seemed stressed, nobody checked on us at any point or spoke other than really stilted, functional service. That let down an otherwise good restaurant
Lovely casual restaurant. Friendly service. Fabulous food!!
We have been coming to the Dairy since it opened and like fine wine The Dairy gets even better with age.
Great place :) I would highly reconnect for tasty food .
My partner had a wonderful birthday celebration and we left feeling stuffed and very satisfied with the tasting menu. The food was wonderfully presented and the paired wines went well with each course. We would highly recommend The Dairy to our friends.
Best restaurant in London
Beautifully prepared plates with attention to unique flavors and fresh ingredients. A fun yet casual ambiance where the creative cocktail list inspired us to share different plates and great conversation. Bone marrow agniotti was a harmonious favorite...
Booked for a birthday dinner and was happy to find this gem in Clapham Common. Tasting menu was really good value, and awesome; service was fantastic; and 100% will book again!
Excellent service and wonderful lunch. Top place to eat.
The food is still of an exceptionally high quality that at least competes with the very best restaurants in London without the central London premium.
The service was also outstanding; attentive, polite, enthusiastic and knowledgeable!
It remains high on my list of favourites.
Amazing brunch. Have to try the Mac and cheese!
