Really very good, we were looked after from start to finish. We had the spatch-cock chicken with sauce fantastic the mash is excellent. Our anniversary, they gave us free small desserts at the end.

The restaurant has atmosphere although it was a little too noisy! Food was not as good as sometimes, infact very dry especially the bread sticks. Loos need a makeover!

A note to vegetarians: My friend is a vegetarian due to religious reasons, so when we sat down we were given a full menu and a vegetarian menu. My friend ordered an omelette from the vegetarian menu (that omelette wasn’t available on the full menu). I tried a bit of it halfway through and thought it tasted of fish so I asked the waitress where she said there is fish in the omelette. In the end they took the dish away and didn’t charge my friend for the omelette, but my friend feels horrible as she has eaten fish which goes against her religion. I really hope the restaurant takes note of this incident and removes the dish from the vegetarian menu or at least specify that it contains fish.

Lovely restaurant - one of my London favorites. Busy and very buzzy. There for some tea and cake this visit, we weren’t rushed and had a very nice time. Excellent doorman! Great for time with the older generations, too!

Fast , efficient service as this was pre theatre.. so was perfect ..
DONT like to see now COVER CHARGE
Sneak on to the bill ....
I’m happy to see this in Italy where there is no 12.5% service charge added .
I won’t go back until this COVER CHARGE is removed from the menu , and urge other dinners to boycott this cash making charge redundant in the UK .

What a great old-fashioned restaurant with wonderful ambience. The Delauney is an old fashioned experience, with silver service, white linen and wonderful waiter service. Its consistently an outstanding place to dine. Please check out my #The Delauney pictures on Instagram donaldleggatt

Used to be my "go to" restaurant when in London. Still a fabulous room and greeting but sadly, possibly since under new ownership and direction, has completely lost it. Food was always ok, but now just so so. Service now virtually non existent, no anticipation of needs. Ambience- well the place is certainly now on the map but full of fake folk, unable to hold a polite conversation, women screeching at the top of their voices and sock free men grovelling under tables and under the influence- leave that behaviour to Langans!

Another problem- free lunch at this, one of London’s hippest and coolest places to eat anytime. The staff are fun and delightful and the food has a German/British edge, served with excellence and taste.
Just a stroll away from many tourist sites and the river Thames it also gives access to thriving Covent Garden.
Certainly one of my favourite regular restaurants in London.

This was 10 pm,nearly empty and definitely lacking in atmosphere. However service was too casual for me although my food was fine the kedgeree chosen by my companion was like a sloppy risotto and lacking in fish. Pudding menu very disappointing.

Had another lovely evening here before a show. Had the prawn cocktail which was plentiful and tasty followed by the beef stroganoff which was equally lovely

Wine like most place is above price but it’s a great venue with a great feel to it

Will go back again...

The Delaunay is a sister restaurant to Zedel in Sherwood Street, but smaller and a bit up-market. I trusted the quality of the food so much I ordered Steak Tartare and it was magnificent. Top quality steak minced, perfectly combined with capers, tabasco,Worcestershire and seasoned to perfection. The wines were equally as delicious. The prompt and careful service rounded out a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Looking forward to coming back and have already recommended it to friends.

Like so many restaurants in the Corbin and King empire, The Delaunay experience never disappoints. Last minute reservations for Valentines Day, yet front of house were able to give me my favourite table to enjoy a relaxed, romantic evening with my wife. Great spot to watch the whole restaurant - all looks so effortless, but the ambience created by the service, décor, lighting all combine to turn dinner in to "an experience which is why we return again and again if in this part of London.
