The Dial House is an elegant restaurant with rooms. A special place tucked away in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. Perfectly situated 30 minutes away from both the North Norfolk coastline and the Norfolk broads. Eight individually styled luxury bedrooms, magnificent breakfasts, hand-crafted afternoon teas, spa treatments, grand dinners and all manner of objects available to buy.

The restaurant runs on the principle of celebrating the best produce the county has to offer, cooked simply and using their Bertha charcoal oven wherever possible.

The Dial House have three private dining rooms for hire: The Cellar; for up to 12 guests, The Chefs Table; for up to 4 guests and The Secret Room; for up to 8 guests.

A decadently adorned cake trolley, made to order picnic baskets - complete with local picnicing treasure maps and spectacular Sunday lunches served on antique platters also make their mark here.

We had a lovely afternoon tea in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food etc was lovely however the size of the scones was interesting! We had beautiful clotted cream & delicious jam with TINY scones, literally bite size. Very disappointing as to me this is a significant part to afternoon tea. I’d rather have one less sandwich & bigger scones so we could actually eat all the lovely cream & jam.

We spent the night at The Dial House in the Italian room this room was awesome! We celebrated our 10 year anniversary and we wanted luxury and we certainly got this at the Dial House. Diner was exceptional and the breakfast was yummy too. We would definitely return and recommend to friends and family. Thank you

I was seated right next to a very very hot radiator which may have affected my experience and given we were on the only occupied table I should have asked to move ! But my halloumi and chick peas was so thick (about half a pack) and rich and salty it was almost inedible and I left the majority. However my friend said the welsh rarebit was delicious. I will try the restaurant again but that dish is all wrong.

After a bit of struggle to park at lunchtime on a Tuesday in this busy town the welcome inside was quite good. We found it slightly strange to be offered just water while we perused the menus at our table and were relieved to see then, that a good selection of wines was to be available with our lunch, indeed our bottle of ordinary Malbec was good.

This being an extended Norfolk Restaurant Week special menu the choices were understandably limited. However the smoked salmon starters were excellent, as were the desserts including the Affogato. We puzzled a bit over the main course choices though and some opted eventually for a vegetarian item, while others for the special roast rump of beef with 'chips' and Roscoff onion, which I personally found all a bit disappointing in terms of flavour.

Service was helpful and friendly, and we felt that the room ambience was outstanding.

Visited for my wife’s birthday and we were not disappointed. This was during Norfolk restaurant week so I assume a slightly different menu than normal.

The service provided by the staff was outstanding, despite there being only 4 of them. They were all working very hard but maintained a high standard throughout.

The food was excellent. Small portions in size but big on flavour and still very filling. We also had some bar snacks which were super but meant no room for desert. Tried a couple of the cocktails which were expertly prepared by the barman. He wine was also very good.

The ambience is relaxed enough but still feels special. One slight suggestion; hopefully it doesn’t appear snobbish but a cloakroom might be appropriate for a venu if this standard? You can buy almost anything you can see throughout the building (chairs/lampshades etc all with price tags). The quirky rooms such as the secret bookcase dining room look fantastic for a small private party. The small bar is also a really nice place to sit. I’d probably go there for just a drink if it was a little bigger (but maybe it’s not shooting for that piece of the market).

We’d love to go back!

Went as part of the Norfolk Restaurant Week initiative. Really nice, slightly quirky building and the normal menu had been adjusted to match the initiative. Really enjoyed it and will go back to sample the "normal" menu. Would recommend this establishment, first rate staff.

Perfect for ladies who lunch! We had two delicious courses which we specifically chose not to be too filling as we were eating again in the evening. We enjoyed every bite and felt very comfortable afterwards. The food was lovingly prepared by the chef. I requested my favourite cortado coffee which was perfectly made. We were served by a lovely friendly lady who answered our many questions very patiently and courteously. Thank you for a lovely first experience under the new manageme to. We will be back!

All staff were efficient, polite, attentive..a special mention to Ben who was on duty the night of the 30th Oct..he presented himself as the face of the dial house that evening and did them proud in the way he conducted himself and was always ready and attentive to ensure the full comfort of the guests and brought a style that ensured everyone was relaxed, comfortable and always friendly in his efforts in the service towards the guests..all other staff also showed a good relaxed feel to the service they offered. The dial house itself was warm and welcoming with a family cosy atmosphere.

Very quirky setting great fun. We arrived a little early but it was not a problem we were taken to a lovely hidden room behind a bookcase. Not my first visit to the Dial House but it was for our friends who were visiting us. We all loved the afternoon tea and the staff were super. Our friends wished they lived nearer so they could visit again and try lunch or dinner

Firstly - service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff and food arrived quickly. Ambience was poor thogh. Table was set away on its own well away from any other guests and felt rather isolated. The dial house is clearly going for a shabby chic look but our table was also a bit rickety and uncomfortable to eat from. We ordered the Sunday Roast and portions were not generous - food was very nice and flavoursome but we felt a bit shortchanged by the amount provided, especially the meat.

It is lovely place, quaint but roomy at the same time. Lovely for a hot chocolate in front of the fire. I personally was not that impressed with the afternoon tea.. I don't feel you get much for your money. I would go for a cuppa and cake and perhaps try a meal there. But not for afternoon tea.

The whole Dial House experience is a must, we stayed in Africa and our family in Parisian. The rooms are decorated to style perfection and are quality, there has been no skimping on the furnishings. The bed was so comfortable along with the lush pillows, the bathroom also with a walk in rainshower. Both rooms also had a bath too. We had a three course evening meal and it was delicious as was breakfast the next day. The service in the restaurant did not disappoint and was timed to perfection and the waiting staff were attentive. I would highly recommend the Dial House to anyone and we will definitely be returning, the new owners have certainly made their mark and I applaude them for the attention to detail. Reepham itself is a very nice little village, the residents are friendly and there are some lovely scenic walks.

Visited the Dial House for a birthday celebration with Family. On arrival 2 members of our party found the lady on the reception desk extremely rude & if they hadn’t been joining a family meal would have walked straight back out! She kept her head down looking at papers & did not acknowledge them for several minutes. On ordering drinks we were told that they were extremely busy, but did not expect to have to wait 15 minutes for drinks to arrive! We ordered a bottle of Prosecco & was told they didn’t have any champagne flutes left so served in normal glasses!! Service was generally very poor & slow & we frequently had to ask several times before our requests were dealt with. The food was good & so it is a shame to be so let down by the service. We felt very disgruntled that the service charge was automatically added to the bill, as quite frankly due to the lack of service & manner in which we were dealt with, we would certainly have not left this level of tip! All in all very disappointing.

It is not cheap by any means, but I still thought that it was very good value for money given the fantastic food and service. I will definitely go again!

First time back since the change of owner. Food was still delicious though I had an unidentifiable black 'crisp" with my hake which I couldn't stack up with the menu. My only gripe was that as soon as the pre-starter nibbles arrived, so did the starter. OK if your starter is cold, but mine was hot.

We have been to the Dial House several times before and really enjoyed it.
However, this was our first time back since the new ownership / change had occurred and we were a bit disappointed.
The initial greeting was quite curt and the lady showing us to our table seemed less than bothered. Once the food arrived (which seems to have lacked in both quality and quantity) we were never approached again and actually had to hunt somebody down to ask for another drink.
We left this time, not feeling to bothered about coming again - which is quite sad really.
