What a fantastic experience! The place is gorgeous, the afternoon tea spread is fantastic and the scones are freshly baked! Try the pear tea!

Samantha provided 5star service, with good recommendations and some history lessons. Well done!

Will definitely be back again!

Beautiful place, delicious tea trays and the Tea Room team was so sweet and caring, they pampered our princess on her 10th Birthday so much! Thank you so much, dearest Shannon and team, with all of our hearts, and looking forward, God permitting, to come back one day again. If anyone is thinking of going there when the province opens up, please put this Tea Room experience in your list for lovely Niagara-on-the-Lake! May God bless all at the Prince of Wales Tea Room, the super cute town, and all of you, dearest, Merry Christmas, stay safe and have Hope. =)

Went to Prince of Wales for High tea with my BFF. Very strict COVID-19 protocols in place which was appreciated.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Scones were amazing. A couple of pastries not to my liking but everyone has their own tastes.

Like the variety of sandwiches they were fresh and tasty.

This was a truly magical experience at Christmas time. The decorations in the hotel are magnificent. Our server, Samantha was very knowledgeable & was extremely attentive & polite. The food served was excellent, with the scones being especially good. Loved the shortbread too. Overall, I highly recommend having afternoon tea in The Drawing Room. Book well in advance, it was fully booked that day.

Lovely afternoon tea with my sister and niece. This will be an annual tradition. It is pricey but well worth the experience. We had the Prince of Wales tea this adds a cheese plate to traditional tea. The Salmon sandwich was not my cup of tea, however the cucumber and ham sandwiches were good.

Great experience for a special occasion . Sandwiches a little bland and condiments should be served in dishes not in plastic containers.
The tea , scones and desserts were delicious.

A great place to unwind and enjoy a quality conversation with a partner. The place was beautiful and it took us back to the renaissance era. Food were delicious and they were creatively presented, though the food menu could have more options. Overall, a great experience.

Royal High Tea is a special experience deserving of special treatment. It's a shame that because of COVID-19, the experience has been cut back in strange ways. You go to the trouble of using the 3 tiered Sterling silver service, which is handled by chefs, bakers, servers, etc., yet cheap out on serving the butter, jam and devonshire cream in plastic take away containers like tartar sauce at a fish and chip shop. Why? Don't give me for health and safety, otherwise, why use the 3 tier service, ceramic teapots and saucers. Obvious disconnect. At 47.00 plus per person, with safety protocols, there was absolutely no need to lesson, what is otherwise, a lovely tea ritual. Unfortunately, it was the first time I took my Australian (new) husband to experience. Compared to Australia tea houses who bring your Royal Tea on a trolley complete with God Save The Queen music with all the pomp and ceremony of serving the Queen herself, it was a disappointment. And worse, shoved everyone into the sunroom rather than enjoying the beautiful Christmas decorations in the main room. Completely defeated the purpose why we came. During these times of uncertainty, all the more reason to uphold traditions...advice ditch the cheap plastic containers and serve the scone accompaniments in the proper sterling serving dishes.

For a milestone birthday celebration we ordered the Monarch with Kir Royale.

Wonderful, staff, ambience, service.

The only downfall is the devilled eggs were rather dried out looking which I would expect better especially with the price and reputation of this place. You could tell they were made previously. So simple just to make them fresh.

The Tea Room had a wonderful comfortable atmosphere. The value for the amount and quality of food was terrible. Over $300 for 2 adults and 2 Teens....for tea. This will be a "one and done".

Maybe offer more variety or choices for the sandwiches or scones rather than a set menu. Maybe a choice of 2 ?

An absolutely beautiful setting but for $40 each I would expect my 6 quarter sandwiches (1 &1/2 actually sandwiches) to be spectacular. Unfortunately they were barely average. The scone was very good as was the cannoli. Lots of tea but hardly a top notch meal. Enjoyed our time there but left feeling that the Prince wasn’t trying very hard and seemed to be resting on the fact that “tourists” will pay for anything.

I love the Prince of Whales and have gone for the High Tea many times. We had a wonderful afternoon, very peaceful and relaxing the high tea was good. I don't think the Hight tea was a good as it once was. The scones seemed smaller and it looked like less sandwiches but I could be wrong.

PROS: The inside of the restaurant and hotel were decorated beautifully. Service was quick. The scones and desserts were excellent

CONS: Sandwiches were nothing special, plain white bread. They did not have the first choice of tea in stock. Windows in the solarium were filthy so looking outside was not pleasant.

The setting was very nice, fireplace, interesting china etc. A selection of teas was offered plus some interesting additions. I had the cheese tray, but you could also get ice wine and other alcoholic beverages. Sandwiches were a good selection and there were even devilled eggs. The scones were a bit ordinary however and somewhat dry.
Because of covid the jam, cream and butter were all served in separate closed containers.

My friend and I stopped in to share a tea and some little bites together. The server was wonderful. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The tea was delicious and the little sandwiches and sweets were tasty. Going to a fancy tea room is partially for the tea and partially for the experience. The linens and fancy three tiered serving dish full of lovely snacks made the setting.... but then came our condiments. We each got three of those mini plastic disposable containers with a top full of ketchup, mustard and mayo. It looked so kitschy that it was actually funny. You kinda got pulled right out of the fancy tea illusion and into a picking up your take out pizza order with plastic wrapped dipping sauces!
