The Tea Room had a wonderful comfortable atmosphere. The value for the amount and quality of food was terrible. Over $300 for 2 adults and 2 Teens....for tea. This will be a "one and done".
Perfect high tea experience for my daughter, husband and myself. Hotel is beautiful.
First time there we had a wonderful time. Well worth the money. Great staff decor food etc.
Love coming for Tea here. Such an elegant treat. Highly recommend.
Great experience at Prince of Wales for high tea!
Great mother daughter outing!
Loved the place and experience...just a little pricey.
Maybe offer more variety or choices for the sandwiches or scones rather than a set menu. Maybe a choice of 2 ?
An absolutely beautiful setting but for $40 each I would expect my 6 quarter sandwiches (1 &1/2 actually sandwiches) to be spectacular. Unfortunately they were barely average. The scone was very good as was the cannoli. Lots of tea but hardly a top notch meal. Enjoyed our time there but left feeling that the Prince wasn’t trying very hard and seemed to be resting on the fact that “tourists” will pay for anything.
I love the Prince of Whales and have gone for the High Tea many times. We had a wonderful afternoon, very peaceful and relaxing the high tea was good. I don't think the Hight tea was a good as it once was. The scones seemed smaller and it looked like less sandwiches but I could be wrong.
PROS: The inside of the restaurant and hotel were decorated beautifully. Service was quick. The scones and desserts were excellent
CONS: Sandwiches were nothing special, plain white bread. They did not have the first choice of tea in stock. Windows in the solarium were filthy so looking outside was not pleasant.
Great ambiance and experience. Food was okay but a bit pricey. Go for the atmosphere, not the sandwiches.
My daughter and I had an amazing time. The ladies working were fantastic!! Will definitely be back
I had a fantastic time. I felt it was very safe in these covid times. Every precaution was taken it ensure safety.
All staff were great. Everything fresh . Well done. My first indoor dining experience since pandemic and felt very safe, still same lovely afternoon tea experience!
Remarkable experience. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and presented in a nice Elizabethan style. True English experience of 5 o'clock tea. Definitely recommend it
A great way to catch up with friends and have a wonderful experience
Wonderful as always! Loved the Christmas decor and the food was amazing. The staff did an amazing job catering to our dietary needs. Service was good too.
The setting was very nice, fireplace, interesting china etc. A selection of teas was offered plus some interesting additions. I had the cheese tray, but you could also get ice wine and other alcoholic beverages. Sandwiches were a good selection and there were even devilled eggs. The scones were a bit ordinary however and somewhat dry.
Because of covid the jam, cream and butter were all served in separate closed containers.
My friend and I stopped in to share a tea and some little bites together. The server was wonderful. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The tea was delicious and the little sandwiches and sweets were tasty. Going to a fancy tea room is partially for the tea and partially for the experience. The linens and fancy three tiered serving dish full of lovely snacks made the setting.... but then came our condiments. We each got three of those mini plastic disposable containers with a top full of ketchup, mustard and mayo. It looked so kitschy that it was actually funny. You kinda got pulled right out of the fancy tea illusion and into a picking up your take out pizza order with plastic wrapped dipping sauces!
It was very good experience, the food was good , the server was very nice and helpful ,
Highly recommend this place
Great afternoon sipping tea. Large selection of teas, and finger foods. Accommodated dietary restrictions. Fun way to spend an hour or two of your afternoon.
Terrific experience. Highly recommended. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience as part of her anniversary present.
Such a lovely place and the best staff! We stayed at the hotel overnight and would go again.
Loved every minute of it!
Went for afternoon tea service with my mother. The tea and food selection for the traditional tea was fantastic. Everything tasted amazing, there was a lot of food and selection brought out. The server was knowledgeable and pleasant.
The room is quiet and cozy making for a relaxing afternoon. The value is also great. A very reasonably priced well put together experience.
I highly recommend this venue and we will be returning int the future
Foot was very good. Enjoyed the whole experience. Busier then I think they predicted it would be. The poor waitress was alone and I think it was getting a bit hard to keep up with the amount of customers. But she was such a sweetie, and did great. Pleasant young lady! Thank you Samantha! You were awesome!
This was an excellent dining experience. Food was delicious and ample and service was impeccable. We will certainly be back.
My sisters 1st birthday since her husband died
The tea sandwiches were a disappointment. It was not the same caliber of food as in the past.
Something my daughter and I have wanted to do. We found the staff not overly warm and welcoming. The display of sandwiches/pastries was nice, although the sandwiches were not fresh and the selection not our favourite. I had mentioned we don’t eat fish and received 4 smoked salmon sandwiches. I won’t have mind paying the price if the experience was better. I understand Covid but didn’t find it what I expected. But we did it and can cross it off our list.
Food was not worth the price tag. We made reservations 3 weeks prior and indicated we were vegan. They had no dairy alternatives for milk and the sandwiches for high tea were hummus and a vegetable - not the variety I would expect when paying $40.
The service was excellent and the scones were delicious.
It was a great atmosphere and experience overall. The food and tea came out a great pace, allowing us to relax and enjoy everything. Our server Shannon was really nice too and helped us decide on our teas as well!
Was wonderful! Everything you’d think a classy, high-tea would be. Perfect!
This was an amazing experience and I’ll definitely be back! It was a bit expensive but you get what you pay for and it was worth the splurge!
Wonderful and Samantha was a gem food was great service was outstanding and ambiance always top rate surprised more people were not there nothing to be afraid of folks as long as you do what you need to do to stay safe enjoy life don’t let this virus suffocate you get out and have fun!
A lovely place for high tea. I would highly recommend it. Food, ambiance, service all excellent.
It was lovely!
Another fabulous tea service. This place never loses its novelty.
Enjoyed our Wedding Annivery having Afternoon tea at the Prince of Wales. We are vegetarian so I could only have cucumber sandwiches My husband does not eat cucumber and they provided cheese and crsckers. My sandwiches were slightly on the dry side. Secondly, cream teas are served with fresh cream. Instead we got Creme Fresh which was disappointing.
Experience was fantastic. No complaints and the food was amazing.
