The modern European menu includes plenty of sharing boards, flatbreads and antipasto boards alongside familiar favourites such as gourmet sandwiches, burgers jam-packed with delicious fillings, hearty mains and seasonal salads. Drinks are taken seriously here with a range of well-crafted and innovative cocktails from well-loved classics to calorie counted ‘skinnies’ and ‘Veg and Herb Patch’ cocktails. Overall was an OK experience. First thing that went slightly wrong was when I thought we would get a decent table since I requested it when booking but we got to seat on a big shared table even tho there were tables available, I kindly asked to be moved and the hostess agreed to it. We then ordered some wine, my moms wine arrived with something floating inside so we send it back and the waiter did not apologize at all for the inconvenience. The service overall was probably the worst part, waiters seems to be chatting a lot and not paying much attention to the customers. Food was OK, nothing special. Silver linings was when the waiter removed the service charge from the bill explaining he does not think the restaurant provided a decent enough service to us. I did really appreciate that.

The Drift is a good spot for a relaxed drink and unexpectedly nice food. Bit noisy but no more than you’d expect. No view of the fish tank though, if that’s why you’re going.

Although we booked, there was no table reserved. We had requested high top seating and we got standard. The food was bland and overpriced. The service was adequate at best. Wouldn’t go back again in a hurry

I take my team and clients to The Drift. The food is always amazing. The services is not. Although they always find us a table (when we don't have reservations), they always seem short handed and we do wait quite a bit of time trying to track down a server. The servers we have are very nice, though, and I would suspect this is a management issue (not having enough people working during a busy lunch hour.

On a Saturday at 1pm, booked for 7 friends, the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other across the table. The waitress agreed to turn the volume down but that never happened. Waitress did not hear our food order correctly and a requested beetroot burger was served as a beef burger. The beetroot burger never came but a flat fake meat burger did 10mins later with no accompanying sides. Very disappointed by this visit.

I went to have dinner with my cousin whom I have not seen for a while. We had a great time, the place is nice, the food was really good, the staff were super nice and the cocktails are very good, too. The noise level was quite high though which made it difficult to hear each properly but overall the place is great - would definitely recommend.

we arrived at the start of evening service for a quick bite ( after the restaurant had had a limitless prosecco brunch - we can't have been too much fun for the staff) ...unfortunately two of our meals had key elements missing ...which the manager did rectify quickly -and took money off the bill . other diners did say that the fish pie and curry were delicious .. maybe we just got it at a bad moment...

Fire alarm sounded, and we had to leave building. Were unable to finish drinks. Staff very rude when returning to building. My guest had to leave as it was getting late, so we could not finish meeting. Still got charged for service, and was told by staff that I should not worry about it, as we only had to leave for a short time! Very poor service, and very unprofessional staff. Disappointing.

Good morning Anon I do apologise for the inconvenience caused by the fire alarm. This came from the building and we always have to treat every Alarm as an actual fire. With regards to the staff member being rude on your return I would like to know more details so I can investigate further. please feel free to get back to me on the below details or let me know a time I can contact you. I hope you have a great day and thank you for your feedback. Alex Metcalfe GM, The Drift 020 3004 4969

Server was very slow and tried to take my food when I stated I was eating several times, the maitre’d was very polite and accommodating compared to our waiter. Our previous visit was a more enjoyable experience. Great service and very accommodating. Great brunch menu and value for money.

We were a family group, youngest 34, oldest 82. We booked because the menu looked good, and it is near Liverpool Streeet station, but the moment we walked into the restaurant we realised we had made a mistake. We stayed because the logistics of moving were too complicated. It was too loud and and with subdued lighting. For some it would be buzzy, for us it was tedious.

The food was ok, not special. When I asked for a glass for my bottle of beer I was given a really warm glass. The white wine was not adequately chilled, but with the noise and lighting the three wine drinkers couldn't easily communicate so we drank it.

The drift was a reasonable venue for a lunch with a friend.
Originally we were placed on a table next to the hot grill area and very uncomfortable despite booking, however thankfully we were moved to a nicer table.
I thought the food was average but overall a nice lunch.

Very disappointed. Service was very slow and had to ask someone to take our order. The food was not as described and was expensive for what we received. Asked for the bill and then had to look for someone to take our payment. Have visited before and received a better service. Don't think I would go back again or recommend it

Great looking venue, service was also good however the food was very poor, the menu feels likes it’s too big for the kitchen to handle. The salad was just 99% watercress and the burger tasted of pepper. The price of the food was also very high. I did hear they are about to change the menu so maybe things will improve.

Unbelievably loud music, couldn’t even hear our server. Understand that there’s a bar downstairs but it made the restaurant unbearable, we left after 10 minutes as it felt more like a club.
Would not recommend coming for food, for drinks it may be different but I couldn’t comment as we couldn’t stay long enough.

Jackfruit was not prepared properly for the vegan burger, ended up with a messy puddle on the plate. The combination of jackfruit juices and heavy mayo was not pleasant and the bun did not stand up to the challenge.

However the chicken burger with halloumi fries was very good. And I was told the cowboy fries were also good. A little but cheeky charging extra for different fries with your meal because the portions are small.

I would recommend a short walk to the Ned instead for better food at the same price.

OK, Yes this is a bottomless lunch but note, you have only 4 drinks to choose from and you cannot change half way through; Asahi Beer, Bloody Mary, Processco or Aperol Spritzer.
I choose beer then realised I would be bloated all afternoon so I switched to process and was charged additional for the beer!
The offer is advertised with 'live music' which was very good BUT we booked 12-2pm and the live music did not turn up until 1:30pm. The food was good, but disappointed re the drinks and the fact that the singer and guitarist did not arrive until it was almost time to leave.
