We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch and thought that the Duncombe had gone to extraordinary lengths on comfort and style for outside dining.

Hospitality has many difficulties to address at the moment, although the Duncombe Arms is taking those stresses admirably in its stride. Eat outside the rules say, so the pub makes the outside so comfortable that a May snow shower and an immediate associated five degree temperature drop to 2.5C could go virtually unnoticed. How is the kitchen handling the pressures? Suffice to say all 3 courses were stunning. The world seems a very contented place for a couple of hours with such pleasures on the menu to enjoy. A big thank you to the whole team at The Duncombe Arms!

Best meal I’ve had at the Duncombe. Dined in the outdoor shelter which definitely works well in these strange times we have.

Overpriced for what it is! Lovely setting and staff were friendly and helpful, but for the prices you’d expect fine dining and it really wasn’t. Underwhelmed by the food unfortunately, but a lovely place.

We were very impressed by all that had been done to make outside eating comfortable and enjoyable, even on a chilly day. And the food was as good as always.

It was just lovely! Food was amazing, great choice and they’ve done a brilliant job of the out door area. Heaters and blankets were a welcome touch. The service was exceptional and we were made very welcome. My father had a great birthday and the birthday fudge was yummy. It was my parents first meal out in a year due to shielding. Thank you for making us all feel very safe.
