The Dysart Petersham has recently undergone a complete interior refurbishment, bringing back to life as many of the original Arts and Crafts elements of the building as possible to set a stylish and comfortable atmosphere.

Our menus change with the seasons as well as always holding a few of our signature dishes, freshly cooked to order by our Head Chef and his team, emphasising freshness, well balanced flavours, ethical sourcing and country values. We have a garden and a forager who provide local Petersham grown produce to our chef.

Very well executed dishes. Flavours and presentation were excellent. The tables are well spaced and the building and room were a delight. Only a couple of negatives: for a starred restaurant, the noise level was occasionally too loud. This wasn't within the control of the restaurant, but the second flaw was that the maître d' spent far too much time at one table instead of ensuring that the needs of all tables were being met. For example, I just couldn't attract his attention to get the bill so had, after trying for some time, to get someone's attention, go to the bar to ask the barman to ask someone to get it. That said, we thought the food and restaurant were seriously good and will certainly return.

It was such a treat to be able to celebrate our 10th Wedding anniversary here. The tasting menu was fantastic, with each dish creating new flavour sensations. The service , quality of the food and wine, and ambience was just perfect.

Went for dinner at the Dysart with the offered tasting menu for £135pp, the food was great overall - with the main fish and meat dishes being absolutely stellar, all cooked to perfection - I think in comparison to other 1 michelin restaurants the main dishes were done extremely well in terms of cooking technique. The desserts were quite interesting aswell. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite nice and comfortable - being set in quite a picturesque building and nearby the river thames. The interior was nicely decorated, and each table had its own ample spacing. Where the experience fell slightly short for me was the service, I have to preface this by saying all of the front of house staff I interacted with were extremely polite and pleasant - however, the pace of courses being served was at a very leisurely pace, as well as slowing down significantly towards the end of the meal. At times it would take 15 minutes or more to clear the plates from our previous course, then more time on top of that before the next course was served. By the time we got to the dessert courses, it took about 1.5 hours for 2 dessert courses and petit fours to be served at the end of the meal. I noticed that other tables seemed to be getting their courses at a much quicker pace compared to us (at one point a couple other tables had been served 3 main courses where we had been served only 1 dessert course in the same amount of time) seemingly having more attention paid towards their tables in general. It looked like many of the other diners seemed to be returning guests/regulars at the restaurant and had more attention paid to them by the front of house staff because of this, which I think is fair but also this seemed to impact our experience quite a bit. Overall our dinner came to be about 3.5+ hours in length, a large portion of it being waiting for the next course to be served or for dishes to be cleared from the table.

I had a leisurely lunch with some friends. Excellent food with a perfect blend of French style and Japanese influence....and some great amuse bouche. Barny is a superb host and the ambiance is relaxed (both staff and diners) but sophisticated. I will definitely be back.

The food was extremely creative and delicious. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and very friendly and personable. The atmosphere was calm, quiet and relaxing. The ambience was just right and the building gives a great feeling of another era.
